Abstract

PURPOSE:To secure such a plastic valve as pipe-connectible with electrodeposition by setting a passage forming mandrel to both sides of the principal part of a valve, winding a resin-covered heating wire on this mandrel, and then molding a valve body part in the principal part and the outside of a winding part, respectively. CONSTITUTION:A valve stem 20, a spheroidal valve body 30 and a metallic packing case 40 are all assembled to a cylindrical case 10, constituting the principal part of a plastic valve. Then, a passage forming mandrel is inserted into this principal part from both symmetrical sides, a heating wire 70 covered with plastics is wound on an outer circumference of the mandrel, and an energizing connector 71 is attached to both ends of winding start to finish of the heating wire 70. Next, the whole body inclusive of those of principal part, mandrel and heating wire 70 is set to a body molding die, molding a body part 81. Afterward, the mandrel is pulled out, assembling an O-ring 90 and a spacer 91 instead, and a handle 92 is fixed to an upper end of the valve stem 20 with a set screw 93, thus a valve is completed.

The structure of the synthetic resin valve was developed by the applicant in Japanese Patent Publication No. 592210.
There is a device shown in FIG. 8 based on the invention disclosed in Publication No. 9. This valve body has a valve body that is integrally formed with a valve body holding part that encloses a spherical part of the valve body, and a connection port with a pipe line provided on both sides of the valve body, and the flow is communicated with the connection port. The valve body rotatably encloses the valve body having a through hole forming a passage, and the valve body has a repulsive force that expands toward the valve body enclosing portion of the valve body in a spherical portion on both ends of the through hole. It is a spherical valve held and enclosed within a valve box.

The most important aspect of the valve function is the sealing of the internal fluid, which causes the aforementioned valve body to retain repulsive force and be contained within the valve box, increasing the sealing surface pressure between the valve body and the valve body, resulting in a seal. It has good performance.

In general, synthetic resin valves are sensitive to heat, and when they undergo a process of temperature rise when connected to a pipe, they deform, changing the initial sealing surface pressure, and causing a problem in that sealing performance deteriorates. Therefore, the connection part of synthetic resin valves with the pipe line is connected using adhesive or mechanically, but in the case of electric fusion type valves, the seal part with the valve body is sealed by the heat generated when the pipe is connected. It was not put into practical use because of its negative effects.

Measures for solving problem C] A core metal for forming a flow path is attached to both sides of the main part of the valve, which has a metal packing case, a packing attached to the inner surface of the case, a valve body, and a valve stem that rotates the valve body. A method for manufacturing a synthetic resin valve, which comprises: assembling and winding a resin-coated heating wire around the metal core, and then molding the valve body portion to the outside of the main portion and the winding portion.

[Function] Since the present invention has the above-mentioned configuration, the gasket for sealing with the valve body is attached to the inner surface of the metal gasket case, and the influence of deformation of the main body due to heating of the heating wire winding portion of the connection portion is avoided. Since it is shut off by the metal packing case, it does not affect the sealing part with the valve body. Therefore, good sealing performance can be ensured even after connection with the pipe line.

When connecting the synthetic resin valve and the pipe line according to the present invention, after inserting the synthetic resin pipe into the connection ports 82 at both ends of the main body, when current is applied to the connector bin 71, the winding portion of the heating wire 70 is heated. The inner surface of the connection port and the outer surface of the tube are melted and fused together. At this time, the entire body is also heated by the heating of the connection port 82, but since the sealing portion between the spherical valve body 30 and the packing 41 is provided inside the strong metal packing case 40, the main body is prevented from deforming due to heat. The influence is prevented and good sealing performance can be maintained.
