Conventionally, this type of pedal has been proposed in which a cross-shaped tread is formed along the outer periphery of the surface of the pedal body. When the load is large, a problem arises in that the pressure points on the sole of the foot become painful, especially when the load is large.

Therefore, if a planar tread is formed over a predetermined area on the surface of the pedal body, it will not only become heavy, but also become slippery, although the sole will not feel pain when stepping force is applied to the tread. However, when anti-slip protrusions are provided on this planar tread, there is an unavoidable problem that the pressing part of the sole of the foot that presses against the protrusions becomes painful, especially under high loads.

The purpose of this invention is to divide the frame-shaped outer and inner treads, which share the pedal force, into the outer circumferential surface of the pedal body and the inner side thereof, with a gap in between. To provide a bicycle pedal that allows the pedal to be operated reliably and comfortably without causing any pain to the sole of the foot and without causing the sole to slip.

The structure of the present invention is to form a frame-shaped outer tread surface having a front tread surface and a pair of side tread surfaces on the outer periphery of a pedal body supported on a pedal shaft, and to form a frame-shaped outer tread surface having a front tread surface and a pair of side tread surfaces on the inside of the outer tread surface. A frame-shaped inner tread is formed at a predetermined interval to share the tread force with the outer tread, and the load applied to the sole of the foot is distributed through the gap between the inner and outer tread. It is characterized by being designed to prevent sliding in the front, back, left and right directions.

Specifically, as shown in Figures 1 and 2,
The pedal body 2 is made up of a cylindrical shaft body 5 and a body body 6.
The cylindrical shaft body 5 is rotatably supported by the pedal shaft 1 screwed onto the crank 7, and the body body 6 is formed on both sides in the length direction at the upper part of the shaft body 5. Approximately U-shaped outer bar-like bodies 61, 62 are arranged in the front-rear direction from the inner side of the base of both outer bar-like bodies 61, 62 in the shaft body 5. Along the gap 8, a substantially U-shaped inner bar-shaped body 63,
64 to form the outer tread surface 3 consisting of front and rear tread surfaces 3a, 3c and a pair of side tread surfaces 3b, 3b on the surfaces of the outer bar-like bodies 61, 62, and On the surfaces of the inner crosspieces 63 and 64, the inner tread surface 4 is formed, which includes front and rear tread surfaces 4a, 4c and a pair of side tread surfaces 4b, 4b. Preferably, the outer and inner tread surfaces 3, 4 are provided with step portions 31, 41 on at least one of them to prevent the foot from slipping, but the step portions 31, 41 are not an essential requirement, and the entire surface is flat. It can also be used as a warrant.

Further, support portions 63a, 64a are formed to bend downward from the horizontal front tread surface 4a and rear tread surface 4c of the inner cross-shaped bodies 63, 64, and the support portions 63a, 64a are used to form reflectors (not shown). ), or a tow clip A and a toe strap may be attached.

As described above, the pedal body 2
Since the body body 6 is formed by the outer bar-shaped bodies 61, 62 and the inner bar-shaped bodies 63, 64 inside thereof, the outer and inner bar-shaped bodies 61, 63, 6
The gaps 8, 8 between 2 and 64 and the inner crosspiece 6
3 and 64, and when stepping on the sole of the foot, the outer and inner tread surfaces 3 and 4 are pressed into separate pressing parts through the gaps 8 and 8. Therefore, the load due to stepping is applied to each of these pressing parts in divided pressures, and the pedal can be operated with sufficient pedal force without feeling pain on each pressing part, and the U-shaped outer and Inner bar-shaped body 61, 62, 6
Since the outer and inner tread surfaces 3 and 4 are formed in a divided manner on the surfaces of the tread surfaces 3 and 64, the soles of the feet can be easily caught on each of the tread surfaces 3 and 4, and the pedals can be operated reliably and easily without slipping.

In the above explanation, the outer and inner bar-like bodies 61, 63, 62, and 64 on the front and rear sides are formed separately without communicating with each other, but there are connections that communicate with each other as shown by the chain lines in FIG. Members 65... may be provided, and by doing so, both bar-shaped bodies 61, 63, 6
The strength against pedal forces of 2.64 can be reinforced.

Further, the outer bar-shaped body 62 on the rear side is inclined inwardly from the back side to the front side as shown in FIGS. 1 and 3, and when the pedal body 2 is turned upside down, the pedal body 2 is formed with a kicking surface 62a that applies normal rotation torque to the rotation torque. By doing so, when the pedal body 2 is reversed in the backward direction as in the case where the toe clip A is provided on the pedal body 2 in FIG. When the pedal body 2 is pressed, forward rotation torque is applied to the pedal body 2, so that the pedal body 2 can be easily rotated in the forward direction, and the footrest work can be performed quickly and easily.

As described above, the present invention forms a frame-shaped outer tread surface having a front tread surface and a pair of side tread surfaces on the outer periphery of the surface of the pedal body supported on the pedal shaft.
Since the outer tread has a front tread and a pair of side treads, and a frame-shaped inner tread is formed at a predetermined interval to share the tread force with the outer tread, the overall weight can be reduced. In addition, a gap is formed between the outer and inner tread surfaces, and the outer and inner tread surfaces are pressed by different pressing parts on the sole of the foot through this gap. The load caused by stepping on the pedal is applied by reducing the partial pressure, allowing you to operate the pedal with sufficient pedal force without pain. Moreover, the outer and inner treads are frame-shaped and are spaced apart at a predetermined interval, so it can be used not only in the longitudinal direction but also in the lateral direction. This reliably prevents the soles of the feet from slipping, and the pedals can be operated easily as a whole.
