Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a cloth-based adhesive tape suitable for packaging with the hand-cuttability of substrate favorably retained by providing the fabric exposed surface of a laminate-bearing substrate with a rubber-based tack agent in a solid state. CONSTITUTION:The fabric exposed surface of such a substrate that one surface of a fabric with fiber made from polyolefin resin such as PP as warp bears a laminate layer consisting of thermoplastic resin such as PP or PE, is provided with a rubber-based tack agent such as of nitrile rubber or styrene-butadiene rubber in a solid state virtually free from solvent, thus obtaining the objective adhesive tape.

Conventionally, as a method for manufacturing such adhesive tapes, a method was known in which a solution-type rubber adhesive made of a solvent was applied to the exposed surface of a woven fabric of a supporting base material and then dried (Japanese Patent Application Laid-open No. 60-110776, 62-283181).

However, when the above manufacturing method is applied to a support base material using a woven fabric whose warp threads are fibers made of polyolefin resin, the quality of the support base material changes and the warp threads tend to stretch.
There was a problem that it was difficult to cut by hand.

Therefore, a support base material is used that takes into consideration the reduction in the ease with which it can be cut by hand. In such cases, we aim to stabilize quality throughout the year by taking into account changes in the coating and drying characteristics of the adhesive due to fluctuations in the manufacturing environment, but there are many uncertainties (such as skill factors that depend on experience). However, there was a major drawback.

Means for Solving the Problems The inventors of the present invention have conducted intensive research to overcome the above problems and to develop a manufacturing method that can stably obtain a heathered thread adhesive tape that is easy to tear by hand. discovered that the objective could be achieved by attaching a rubber adhesive in the form of a solid substance, leading to the present invention.

By applying the functional rubber adhesive in the form of a solid substance that does not substantially contain a solvent, it is possible to suppress deterioration of the supporting base material and to prevent a decrease in the ease with which it can be cut by hand. The reason is unknown. H
However, in the experiments of the present inventors, when a film made of the same polyolefin resin was used as a support base material, no deterioration problem occurred, and on the other hand, a water-dispersion type adhesive or a water-dispersion type adhesive instead of a solution type was used. When hot-melt adhesives are used, and when using liquid-type reactive adhesives that enable solvent-free coating by heat-crosslinking monomers or oligomers after coating, the problem may occur due to deterioration of the supporting base material. This is because the ease with which it can be cut by hand has decreased significantly.

From the point of view of ease of manual tearing, it is preferable to use a fabric in which the warp and the laminate layer are thermally fused, such as by extrusion laminating a polyolefin resin of the same quality as the warp in the woven fabric.

The rubber adhesive is attached to the exposed surface of the woven fabric in the supporting base material. In this case, in the present invention, the material is attached in the form of a solid material containing substantially no solvent. Thereby, deterioration of the supporting base material can be suppressed and the ease of manual tearing can be preserved. The attachment method may be determined as appropriate. In the example and line 0, a rubber adhesive such as a solution type or a water dispersion type is coated on a separator and dried to form a solid material that does not substantially contain a solvent. A method in which the layer is transferred to the exposed surface of the woven fabric of the support substrate, or a calendar method in which a solid rubber adhesive is rolled into a sheet using a roll and this is attached to the exposed surface of the woven fabric of the support substrate. Examples include methods. From the viewpoint of manufacturing efficiency, etc., a single calendar type is preferable. In that case, it is important to control the temperature of the rolled sheet-like rubber adhesive at 60 to 80°C at the stage of attaching it to the exposed surface of the woven fabric of the supporting base material using three or more rolls. It is more preferable in terms of preservation. By the way, 3
When using book rolls, such control may include controlling the temperature of the first, second, and third rolls, e.g., about 150°C, about 1
This can be achieved by successively lowering the temperature by 10°C and about 60°C. In the above case, a fourth roll may be added for cooling if necessary.

The tensile strength and elongation in the warp direction, the tearing force in the weft direction, and the hand tearability of the adhesive tapes obtained in the evaluation test examples and comparative examples, and the supporting substrate itself were examined. The ease of cutting by hand is determined based on the difficulty of cutting by hand and the shape of the cutting line.
Evaluation was made in four stages: extremely good (◎), good (○), slightly poor (△), and poor (×).
