  1. 【実用新案登録請求の範囲】 一対の相対向して配置された少なくとも一方が
    透明な基板と、該基板の相対向する面にそれぞれ
    形成された電極層と、該基板の間にセル空間を形
    成すべく該基板の周縁部に固着されたスペーサと
    、該セル空間内に封入された高絶縁性の分散媒と
    、該分散媒中に分散された分散粒子とからなる電
    気泳動表示素子において、 前記電極層のうち透明な基板側の透明電極層は
    、前記分散媒と接する面が前記分散粒子が嵌着す
    る多数の凹部で形成されていることを特徴とする
    電気泳動表示素子。
