[Detailed description of the invention] This invention relates to a tape guide with a built-in detection element used in a cassette tape recorder. The feature is that the detection element is housed in the storage window of the light guide member. When inserted into the mounting hole of the tape guard, the sensing element is positioned and held by the frame of the storage window and the wall of the mounting hole, which reduces the number of parts and does not require adhesive, making installation easier. The detection element can be positioned accurately and easily, and there is no malfunction due to adhesive adhesion.
Furthermore, since it is easy to disassemble, parts can be replaced after assembly.
