Abstract

PURPOSE:To remove small protrusion and contamination on a plane and a curved surface without damaging the plane and the curved surface of a paint surface, particles for polishing are mixed in a plastic flexible material. CONSTITUTION:A flexible grinding stone is pressed against an uniformly rigid plane to form a plane on the grinding stone. In this case, particle for polishing enters the interior of a flexible material from the plane thereof, and the edge of the particle for grinding is prevented from protrusion from the plane of the flexible material. When the low protrusion part of a paint surface is covered with the plane of the flexible grinding stone, a small hole is formed in the plane of the flexible grinding stone by means of the low protrusion and enters therein. Thereafter, the flexible grinding stone is repeatedly reciprocated along the paint surface. In the cut part of the flexible material, formed during the movement, since fine particles are not uniformly pressed in by means of the low protrusion, the particles for polishing are collided with the low protrusion to remove the low protrusion and contamination.

Detailed Description of the Invention "Industrial Application Field" The present invention is used to polish and remove small protrusions that have formed on painted surfaces of vehicles and machinery, and to remove dirt and oil films that have adhered to window glass surfaces. This invention relates to a plastic flexible grindstone used for.

``Conventional technology'' When a vehicle is parked in a parking lot near railroad tracks or an ironworks, or near a construction site where painting work is being performed, iron powder and paint mist fly onto the painted surface of the vehicle, causing small particles on the painted surface. Attach as protrusions. Conventionally, to remove such small protrusions, it has been common practice to polish the surface with a conband or sandpaper. Also, to remove oil film and dirt from the glass surface, detergent was used and wiped with a cloth.

``Problem to be solved by the invention'' When attempting to remove small protrusions from a painted surface using a sandpaper or sandpaper as in the past, the sandpaper comes into contact with the painted surface other than the small protrusions, resulting in a flat painted surface. There was a problem with it causing damage. In addition, if the stain on the glass surface is strongly adhesive, it may not be easily removed even with detergent.

Therefore, the present invention has been developed with a plastic flexible grinding wheel that can remove only small protrusions on a painted surface by polishing it without damaging the flat painted surface, and can also remove strongly adhesive dirt by polishing it. The purpose is to provide

The fine particles for polishing are preferably silica sand, calcium charcoal, alumina, green carporundum, etc., which have a certain degree of hardness, and the particle size of the fine particles is preferably from 3 to 50 pLm because this improves the polishing performance and provides a clean finish on the polished surface.

"Operation" When using the plastic flexible grindstone of the above means to remove small protrusions from a painted surface, the flexible grindstone is first pressed against a flush hard flat surface to form a flat surface on the flexible grindstone. In this state,
The abrasive particles penetrate into the interior of the flexible material from the plane, and the edges of the abrasive particles do not protrude from the plane of the flexible material.

Next, when the flat surface of the flexible whetstone is placed over the small protrusions on the painted surface, the small protrusions make small holes in the flat surface of the flexible whetstone and enter into the holes (as shown in Figure 1).

Thereafter, when the flexible whetstone is repeatedly moved back and forth along the painted surface (in the direction of the arrow in FIG. 1), the flat surface of the flexible whetstone moves while being cut by the small protrusions. In the cut portion of the flexible material that occurs during this movement, the fine abrasive particles are not pushed flush by the small protrusions, so the edges of the fine abrasive particles protrude from the surface of the flexible material. Therefore, the protruding fine particles for polishing come into contact with the small protrusions, and polishing can be performed.

In this case, the flat surface formed on the flexible whetstone contacts the painted surface, but the edges of the polishing particles do not protrude from the flat surface of the flexible material at that point, so the painted surface will not be damaged, and the flexible whetstone cannot be moved. Spraying water on the area to be rubbed or on the flexible whetstone itself reduces the frictional resistance between the flexible whetstone and the painted surface, making the work easier.

A sponge 3 having a central hole 2 is adhered to a plate l. A flexible whetstone is put into the central hole 2 of the holder and adhered to the bottom plate l, and after soaking a sponge 3 with water, the flexible whetstone is pressed against a hard flat surface to form a flat surface on the flexible whetstone. After this, I held the retainer in my hand, applied the flat surface of the flexible grindstone to the painted surface with the small protrusions, and moved the retainer back and forth along the painted surface, and was able to remove the small protrusions in about 30 seconds. .
