It has been proposed in the Publication No. The low-pass filter limits the high spatial frequency components of the subject to suppress the generation of false signals.

This type of low-pass filter cannot exhibit sufficient effect if the cross-sectional area of the transmitted light beam is small. Although it is desirable to place this beam at a position where the cross-sectional area of the transmitted light beam can be maximized, it is not always possible to place it at such a position.

。In the third embodiment, a lattice-like uneven portion having an optical low-pass filter function is provided on the lens surface near the aperture of the photographing lens at a location where the pupil function changes, as shown in FIG. 1(A). As a result, the lattice-shaped uneven portion imparts a phase difference to the passing light flux, changes the phase term of the pupil function of the photographing lens, limits high spatial frequency components of the subject, and functions as a phase-type optical low-pass filter. is performing well.

By controlling the refractive index and thickness of the coating film, The function as an optical low-pass filter is exerted by changing the phase difference between the light beam passing through the F-I ring Hq and the light beam passing through other parts.

For example, green light around a wavelength of 550 nm has a relatively high sampling frequency, red and blue have a relatively low sampling frequency, and in an image sensor that generates a luminance signal at the same frequency as the green light, the reflectance at 550 nm is lowered, By weakening the low-pass effect, a higher resolution luminance signal is obtained.

The transmittance of blue and green light with relatively short wavelengths of 80 μm or less is close to 100%, and the transmittance of red and infrared light with relatively long wavelengths of approximately 50 μm or less is 0 in both dark and light areas.
If it is set close to %, it can function not only as an amplitude-type optical low-pass filter that limits high spatial frequency components of the subject, but also as a color filter that blocks infrared light.

It is preferable to use a lens having an optical low-pass filter as the photographing lens of the color television camera as in the embodiment shown in FIG. 2, since there is no need to separately provide an infrared light blocking filter.
