Conventionally, rear suspensions for front-wheel drive vehicles, such as the one shown in Figure 4.19 on page 103 of "Automotive Engineering Complete Book Volume 11 Steering Suspension" (Sankaido, first edition published August 20, 1980), have been developed. Are known. This suspension has an axle beam with an inverted U-shaped cross section rigidly connected to the rear of the left and right sheet metal trailing arms, and a spindle that rotatably supports the rear wheel is fixed to both ends of the axle beam. A torsion bar is provided to fix the left and right ends. In this type of suspension, the axle beam and torsion bar twist as the vehicle rolls when the vehicle turns, and the torsional reaction force generated at this time ultimately exerts an anti-roll function. The suspension characteristics are greatly influenced by the setting of this torsional rigidity. By the way, an example of a conventional vehicle axle device used in the above suspension will be explained based on FIG. 1. Reference numeral 1 indicates the entire axle device, and the axle device includes a U-shaped axle beam 2
Plate-shaped wheel support members 3 and 4 are respectively fixed to both ends of the axle beam, and spindles 5 and 6 on which the wheels are rotatably supported are coaxially attached to the upper end of the wheel support member. are installed respectively. Furthermore, the above axle beam 2

are provided, and both ends of the torsion pipe pass through holes 8, 9 drilled in the wheel support members 3, 4 and are welded 10, 11 to the wheel support members 3, 4. Note that 12 and 13 are plate-shaped reinforcements fixed between the upper ends of the wheel support members 3 and 4 and the axle beam 2.

In such an axle device, the axle beam is involved in torsional rigidity and bending rigidity,
The torsion pipe is responsible only for torsional rigidity.

Incidentally, preferences for setting the strength of the anti-roll effect of the suspension vary depending on the user, and some users desire to change the setting of the anti-roll effect.

In such a case, it would be good if it were possible to replace the torsion pipe alone, which greatly affects only the torsional rigidity, but according to the above conventional structure, the torsion pipe 7 is welded to the left and right wheel support members 3 and 4. Therefore, when changing the torsional rigidity of the axle device 1, there was a problem that the entire axle device 1 had to be replaced.

The present invention was devised to solve the above-mentioned problems, and the left and right wheel support members on which the spindles are disposed are provided between an axle beam fixed at both left and right ends and the left and right wheel support members. In the vehicle axle device having a torsion member, the torsion member has a first plate welded to one end, an engaging portion is formed at the other end, and the torsion member has a first plate welded to one end thereof, an engaging portion is formed at the other end, and the torsion member has the above-mentioned torsion member welded to the insertion hole provided in the left and right wheel support members. A second hole is provided to be inserted from the other end side, and the engaging portion has an engaging hole for preventing rotation of the engaging portion.
The gist of the present invention is a vehicle axle device, wherein the plates are fitted together, and the first and second plates are bolted to outer surfaces of the left and right wheel support members, respectively.

According to the present invention, since the torsion member is bolted to the left and right wheel support members via the first and second plates, when changing the torsional rigidity of the axle, the bolts are removed and the second plate and the torsion member are connected by bolts. By unfitting the torsion member, the torsion member can be removed from the wheel support member, and by replacing the torsion member, the torsional rigidity of the entire axle can be easily changed, and compared to replacing the entire axle, the torsion member can be removed from the wheel support member. This has the effect of being cheaper.

Hereinafter, an embodiment of the present invention will be described in detail based on FIG. 2. Note that parts that are the same or substantially the same as those in the conventional structure are given the same reference numerals as in the conventional structure, and a description thereof will be omitted. The torsion pipe 7 is placed through insertion holes provided in the left and right knuckle members 3 and 4, and one end 12 of the torsion pipe 7 passes through a hole 14 bored in the plate 13 and is inserted around the hole 14. It is welded to a plate 13, which is removably fixed to the outer surface of the wheel support member 4 via bolts and nuts 15. Furthermore, a spline 17 is formed at the other end 16 of the torsion pipe 7, and a spline hole 1 that engages with the spline 17 is formed at the other end 16 of the torsion pipe 7.
A plate 19 formed on the inner circumferential surface of 8 is used for bolts and
It is detachably fixed to the outer surface of the wheel support member 3 via a nut 20.

According to the above structure, when changing the torsional rigidity of the axle device 1, the torsion pipe 7
Since it is removably fixed to the axle device 1 via the nuts 15 and 20, the torsion pipe 7 can be easily replaced, and the cost is lower than that in which the axle device 1 is replaced.

Furthermore, the torsion pipe 7 can be easily replaced by removing the bolts and plate 19, pulling out the torsion pipe 7 in the vehicle width direction, and pushing the replacement torsion pipe in the vehicle width direction.
Excellent workability and easy replacement work. Furthermore, since a plate 13 is welded to one end of the torsion pipe 7, the torsion pipe 7
When pulling out the torsion pipe 7, the plate 13 plays the role of a handle during work, and when inserting the torsion pipe 7, the plate 13 plays the role of a stopper, which further improves workability and allows for high precision processing. Since the required spline or the engaging portion for preventing rotation in place of the spline is formed only on the other end side, there is also the effect of keeping costs low compared to conventional non-replaceable parts.
