This cycloconverter has the drawback that it requires a large amount of reactive power from the power supply because its component thyristor is commutated by the power supply voltage. Moreover, the reactive power constantly fluctuates in synchronization with the frequency on the load side. This not only increases the installed capacity of the power supply system, but also causes various adverse effects on electrical equipment connected to the same system due to reactive power fluctuations.

Since this reactive power compensator compensates for fluctuations in reactive power, it must have a high control response speed, and is made of semiconductor elements such as thyristors and is expensive.

A controlled cycloconverter has been proposed. However, in this conventional reactive power control type cycloconverter device, a positive group converter and a negative group converter must be configured as a pair for each output phase.
In order to use the cycloconverter in an induction machine or a synchronous machine that is normally driven by three-phase alternating current, at least six power converters must be prepared. Therefore, not only the main circuit configuration but also the accompanying control circuit configuration become complicated and expensive.

The cycloconverter body CC is composed of three AC/DC power converters (converters) SS 1 , SS 2 , SS 3 and DC reactors L 1 , L 2 , L 3 with intermediate taps. The AC input sides of converters SS 1 , SS 2 , and SS 3 are insulated by a power transformer TR, and the DC sides are connected to DC reactors L 1 , so that a unidirectional circulating current flows.
Connected via L 2 and L 3 . It constitutes a so-called triangular circulating current type cycloconverter. Intermediate taps of DC reactors L 1 , L 2 , L 3 are connected to three-phase windings of a three-phase AC motor M.

である。 The other input signals I 1 , I 2 , and I 3 are the output currents of each converter when the circulating current I 0 does not flow, and are determined from the detected load current values. In Figure 5, I 1 , I 2 , I 3
A specific detection circuit is shown below. In the figure, I U , I V , and I W are line current detection values supplied to the load and can be seen as current sources in this case. In addition, D 1 , D 2 , D 3 are rectifiers,
R 1 , R 2 , and R 3 are resistors, and the currents flowing through the resistors R 1 , R 2 , and R 3 become the detected values of I 1 , I 2 , and I 3 . Figure 6 shows the resistances R 1 , R 2 ,
This is a waveform diagram showing the relationship between the currents I 1 , I 2 , and I 3 flowing through R 3 , and it can be seen that it is exactly the same as that shown in FIG. 3. That is, the output currents I 1 , I 2 , and I 3 of each converter when the circulating current I 0 does not flow are detected.

Further, these are added together by an adder AD4 , and the inverted value thereof is inputted to the next adder AD5 . this adder
The signal I * cap from the reactive power setting device VR is input to AD 5 , and its output signal a is as follows.
a=I* cap−(I1・sinα1+I2・sin

指令値I* 0として次式のものが与えられる。 b=sinα 1 +sinα 2 +sinα 3 These two signals a and b are input to the divider DIV, and a/b calculation is performed. As a result, the following formula is given as the circulating current command value I * 0 . .

バータの入力電流ICCの無効分IQ0は、
IQ0=k{I1sinα1+I2sinα2+I3sinα3+I* 0
(sinα1+sinα2+sinα3)}=k・I* cap
となる。故に、I* cap=Icap/kに選ぶことにより、
IQ0=Icapとなつて受電端の無効電力を零に制御
することができ、基本波力率は1に保持される。 I * 0 = I * / cap − (I 1・sinα 1 + I 2 si
nα 2 + I 3 sin α 3 ) / sin α 1 + sin α 2 + sin α 3 ... (23)
If the circulating current I 0 is controlled to be equal to the relevant threshold value I * 0 , the reactive component I Q0 of the input current I CC of the cycloconverter shown by equation (22) is: I Q0 = k{I 1 sinα 1 +I 2 sinα 2 +I 3 sinα 3 +I * 0
(sinα 1 + sinα 2 + sinα 3 )}=k·I * cap . Therefore, by choosing I * cap = Icap/k,
I Q0 = Icap, the reactive power at the receiving end can be controlled to zero, and the fundamental wave power factor is maintained at 1.

た。 As described above, the reactive power control type cycloconverter device of the present invention can control the fundamental wave power factor at the power receiving end to always be 1 without providing a special external reactive power compensation device, and moreover, Compared to conventional devices, this has the advantage that the main circuit configuration is simple and economical. Furthermore, since the circulating current command value is calculated directly from the current value supplied to the load and the firing phase of the converter, there is no need for a reactive power detector at the power receiving end, which was required in the past. Control errors caused by delays are eliminated, and reactive power control characteristics with good followability can now be obtained.
