拾う雑音も大きな問題となる。そこで従来におい
ては第1図a,bに示す斜視図および断面図のよ
うに、コネクタの一方例えば雄コネクタ1を金属
シエル2により包囲し、これを細線3を雌コネク
タ4を取付けた金属パネル5に取付ねじ6を利用
して接続することによつてアースして、シールド
することが行われている。(なお7は接続端子で
ある。)しかし実験によれば上記の細線3によつ
て雑音電波を拾うため、シールドが完全に行われ
にくい欠点がある。また雌雄コネクタの嵌合接続
および接続解除時一々細線を金属パネルに接続し
たり、はずしたりしなければならないため、接続
操作が非常に面倒である大きな欠点があり、しか
も細線が露呈するため外見的にすつきりしない。
このため最近のようにデザインが洗練された機器
に用いた場合大きく見劣りして、デザイン的な調
和を乱す欠点がある。
