Wind instruments such as trombones, horns, saxophones, and clarinets that generally have a sound emitting section called a morning glory are difficult to hear when practicing playing wind instruments because, due to the nature of the instrument, the player cannot hear the sound emitted from the sound emitting section very clearly. It is extremely difficult to properly hear the sound of the instrument you are playing, which is why in the past, players had to face the wall and play while listening to the sounds bouncing back. Additionally, if there is a monitor speaker facility, the performer can listen to the sound of the performance while playing, but when performing with a full band or orchestra, the sound heard from the monitor speaker is the total sound of each instrument, so it is necessary to listen to the sound of the performance. It is extremely difficult for students to listen to the sounds of the instruments they are playing while playing, and this has hindered the improvement of their playing ability, especially in amateur bands formed by students.

[Purpose of the invention] This invention was created in view of the above-mentioned circumstances, and its purpose is to enable the performer to correctly hear the sound of the instrument by simply attaching it to the instrument. By providing a sound reflector for wind instruments that allows the player to play, it eliminates the need to face a wall when practicing, and
To enable performers to hear the sounds they are producing even when performing with a full band or orchestra.

That is, in the sound reflector for a wind instrument of this invention, an angle-adjustable arm is attached to an instrument fastening tool that is removably fixed to a proper position of a wind instrument, and the arm is attached to the tip of the arm by adjusting the angle of the arm. This configuration includes a sound reflecting plate that is set in front of the sound emitting part of the player and reflects a portion of the performance sound toward the player.

As shown in FIG. 1, the sound reflector of this embodiment consists of a clip-type instrument fastener 1 that is removably fastened to a suitable position on a wind instrument, and an angle-adjustable arm 2.
A sound reflecting plate 3 made of acrylic resin or the like is attached to the tip of the arm 2.The arm 2 consists of two arm members 2a and 2b.
The sound reflecting plate 3 is rotatably attached to the front end of the arm 2. The sound reflecting plate 3 is rotatably attached to the front end of the arm 2. 5 is a fixing screw for the sound reflection plate 3. In addition, the clip-type instrument holder 1 is applied with a closing force by a spring 6 to clamp the wind instrument at the appropriate position, and the part of the instrument holder 1 that grips the instrument is designed to prevent damage to the instrument. Rubber 7 is attached to prevent this from occurring.

FIGS. 2 to 4 each show an example of how the sound reflector is used. This sound reflector is designed to attach the instrument fastening tool 1 to a suitable place of the wind instrument, such as the edge of the sound emitting part (edge of morning glory). A, and the sound reflecting plate 3 is used by adjusting the angle to reflect a part of the performance sound emitted from the radiating section toward the player.

However, if this sound reflector is attached to a musical instrument, a portion of the sound of the instrument will be reflected back to the player, making it easier for the player himself to hear the sound of his own instrument. Therefore, if you use this sound reflector for wind instruments, you won't have to face the wall when practicing, and when playing with a full band or orchestra, you will be able to hear your own sound separately from the overall sound. You can play while listening to the sound of the instrument.

Although the sound reflector is attached to the morning glory edge A of the wind instrument in Figures 2 to 4, it is also possible to use the sound reflector by attaching it to other parts of the instrument. If the surface of the sound reflection plate 3 is treated with silver vapor deposition or the like and the sound reflection plate 3 is used as a mirror,
This sound reflector can be attached to a musical instrument so as to face the performer's mouth as shown by the chain line in FIG. 3, and the player can practice while seeing the shape of his/her lips reflected by the sound reflection plate 3.

Further, in the above embodiment, the instrument fastening device 1 is of a clip type, but this instrument fastening device may be of a screw type, for example, and the arm 2 is also a single metal piece that can be freely bent and extended. It may also be made of wire.

The sound reflector for a wind instrument of this invention has an angle-adjustable arm attached to an instrument fastening device that is removably fixed to a suitable position of a wind instrument, and a sound reflector that can be attached to the tip of this arm to allow the sound of the wind instrument to be released by adjusting the angle of the arm. It is constructed with a sound reflecting plate that is set in front of the sound section and reflects part of the performance sound towards the performer.
Simply attaching it to a musical instrument allows the performer to hear the sound of the instrument correctly, eliminating the need to face a wall when practicing, and also when performing with a full band or orchestra. You can also make the performer hear the sound you are making.
