Generally, decorative plywood includes printed paper decorative plywood (printed plywood, melamine plywood) and board decorative plywood. The former lacked a natural feel but was rich in durability, and the latter had a rich natural feel but lacked durability. Therefore, it has been desired to provide decorative plywood that combines the advantages of both.

In addition, when such decorative plywood is used for furniture, it is required to be free from warping, as warping will cause distortion in the furniture, but conventional decorative plywood does not meet these requirements. I couldn't do it. This invention was made in view of the above circumstances, and includes a resin-impregnated sheet-like cured layer, an adhesive layer, a decorative veneer layer, and a synthetic resin film layer successively formed on one surface of the base plate. The gist thereof is a decorative plywood characterized in that a resin-impregnated sheet-like cured layer is further formed on the opposite side.

In other words, this decorative plywood has a hardened layer of resin-impregnated sheet material inside, so it does not warp, and the surface layer is composed of a decorative veneer layer with a natural look and a synthetic resin film layer with high durability. As a result, it has a natural feel and is highly durable. Therefore, it is ideal as decorative plywood for furniture.

The base plate of the decorative plywood mentioned above is usually made of plywood, particle board, hardboard, or the like. The resin-impregnated sheet-like cured layer is composed of a cured resin-impregnated paper obtained by impregnating thick paper such as kraft paper with a resin such as phenol, urea, melamine, polyester, or dap. The adhesive is composed of a coated cured layer of adhesive or a cured layer of adhesive resin-impregnated paper. In addition, the decorative veneer layer is composed of artificial veneer veneer (raw veneers are laminated and bonded to form a frit and then sliced) or natural veneer veneer, and the synthetic resin film layer is made of thin paper. It is composed of a hardened layer of resin-impregnated thin paper or a coated hardened layer of synthetic resin.

Then, on the resin-impregnated kraft paper 2 on the front side, an adhesive layer 4 made of resin or rubber such as phenol, butyral, urea, melamine, vinyl acetate, etc. is placed, and on the adhesive layer 4 is placed a veneer of artificial board. (thickness 0.2-0.6 mm) 5 is placed, and on top of that, resin-impregnated thin paper (10-100 g/ m2 methylcellulose paper etc. is impregnated with resin such as melamine, urea, polyester, datup, etc. and resin content is added 50-100 wt. (adjusted to %) 6 is placed. Next, this is heated at 10 to 30 kg/cm 2 , 130 to 180°C, and 2 to 10 kg using a press plate (not shown).
It is heated and pressurized for 1 minute to form a single piece.

As a result, the desired decorative plywood (not shown) is obtained. This decorative plywood has hardened layers of resin-impregnated kraft paper 2 and 3 formed on the top and bottom of the base plate 1, so that almost no warpage occurs. Moreover, since this hardened layer acts as a backing material, the rigidity of the artificial board veneer 5 is increased. Furthermore, since there is a synthetic resin film layer formed by curing the resin-impregnated thin paper 6 on the surface, it has excellent durability such as heat resistance, crack resistance, and stain resistance. In addition, the strength of the artificial board veneer 5 itself is improved due to the penetration of the impregnated resin of this resin-impregnated thin paper 6 into the artificial board veneer 5 during compression. In addition, this decorative veneer has a rich natural feel because the surface of the artificial veneer 5 (where the wood grain appears) underneath can be seen through the synthetic resin film layer. This artificial board veneer 5 is made of wood and has more elasticity than paper, and has greater pattern retention power than printed paper, etc., and has the effect of hiding the brown color of the resin-impregnated kraft paper layer 2 underneath. demonstrate. It goes without saying that post-painting is not necessary for the decorative plywood obtained in this way.

In addition, in the above decorative plywood, a hardened layer of resin-impregnated kraft paper 3 is also formed on the underside of the base plate.
This hardened layer may be omitted. Furthermore, although the adhesive layer 4 is made of resin or rubber,
An adhesive sheet may be used in which 20 to 60 g of thin paper is impregnated with 40 to 80 wt % of an adhesive made of phenol resin, melamine resin, butyral resin, rubber resin, etc. and then dried. Using such an adhesive sheet prevents the adhesive from seeping out onto the surface of the artificial veneer 5 even if the artificial veneer 5 has a blemish (the adhesive impregnated in the adhesive sheet) Due to drying, the volatile content of the agent decreases, resulting in low fluidity. Furthermore, since the amount of adhesive impregnated in the adhesive sheet can be controlled at a constant level, the entire adhesive surface can be bonded in a uniform state, and the thin paper used can be colored to match the color of the artificial veneer 5. This also makes it possible to hide the defects of the artificial veneer 5. Furthermore, the formation of a synthetic resin film layer on the surface of the decorative plywood may be performed by coating the surface of the artificial board veneer 5 with a resin mixed with microcrystalline cellulose powder (Avicel, manufactured by Asahi Kasei Corporation). be.
