Abstract

PURPOSE:To shorten polishing time and to prevent the generation of transverse warpage of a polished surface by disposing pads for polishing lined with electrodes zigzag in plural rows onto a polishing truck and forming the pads for polishing in such a manner that the pads can rotate. CONSTITUTION:Rails 2 are disposed along the material to be electrolytically polished such as steel sheet 1 and a traveling truck 3 is run thereon. The polishing truck 5 is mounted on the truck 3 and polishing heads 9 consisting of the pads 14 for polishing lined with the electrodes 13 are disposed zigzag in plural rows via electrode driving shafts 11, a distributing gear box 7, and lifting cylinders 8 on the truck 5. The polishing heads 9 consisting of the electrodes 13 and the pads 14 are rotated with respect to the steel sheet 1 to which an electrolyte is sprayed. While the heads 9 are held under a specified pressure with respect to the steel sheet 1 by the lifting cylinders 8, the truck 5 is run and the steel sheet 1 is polished in the transverse direction.

The electrode heads constructed in this manner are arranged in a staggered manner in multiple rows, as one example is shown in FIG. Note 19
indicates wiring. Here, it is desirable that the direction of rotation of the polishing head including the electrode head is changed for each row as shown by the arrows in FIG. FIG. 7 shows the configuration of the power transmission gear in the distribution gear box 7 for imparting such rotation to the polishing heads arranged in a staggered manner in multiple rows6.
Although the number of columns is two in this example, it can also be three or more. Here, a is the motor shaft gear, b is the electrode rotation gear, and C
is the intermediate gear.

That is, the polishing heads 9, which are arranged in a staggered manner and consist of the electrodes 13 and polishing bands 14, are rotated on the steel plate 1 on which the electrolytic solution has been sprayed, with the button I plate 1 as the anode and the electrode side as the cathode. Next, the polishing cart 5 is run while the polishing head 9 is held at a constant pressure against the steel plate 1 by the lifting cylinder 8.
First, the steel plate is polished in the width direction, and then the traveling cart 3 is moved to polish the next width, and the steel plate is polished in sequence.
゛Ken I? Once this is completed, a sludge-like electrolyte remains on the steel plate. Various methods can be used as a cleaning method, but for example, in order to reduce the waste liquid processing load of the subsequent stage (L+H) and to reduce the amount of waste liquid, the sludge-like waste liquid is first collected with the scraper 20, and then the sludge-like waste liquid is collected in the form of a thin film. It is desirable to use the spray header 22 and the brush roll 23 to clean the electrolyte.
