Abstract

PURPOSE:To realize the real time control for demand of commodities and to quickly detect the high/low demand commodities by checking the total stock and the demand information for a each sale of commodities and at the same time calculating a demand coefficient and deciding the high/low demand commodities based on the demand coefficient. CONSTITUTION:A commodity total stock monitor circuit 5 replaces the total stock of commodities stored in a storage device 9 and at the same time decides whether the procedure reaches or not a check point where a demand command is calculated. A demand coefficient calculating circuit 6 calculates a demand coefficient based on the total stock and the time point when the commodities are stocked in case of the first check point and then on the information on the total stock and the time point at the preceding arrival at the check point in case of the second and subsequent check points. The information on said calculation is sent to a high/low demand deciding circuit 7. The circuit 7 transmits a warning to a monitor terminal equipment 3 for display of this warning at the outside of the range of the limit coefficient value decided from the comparison with the limit coefficient value of the high/low demand set previously. In such a way, the demand of commodities can be monitored in real time.

(Problem to be solved by the invention) In the conventional method for detecting high and low demand products described above, high and low demand products are detected after or during aggregation of sales data, so it is difficult to grasp changes in product demand while the system is operating. The disadvantage is that it is impossible to do so, and there is a risk that if a sudden change in demand occurs, there will be a situation of out-of-stock or unnecessary orders.
