Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate the needs for limiting the documents to be shredded in width by providing each of pair of parallel rotating shafts with rotating teeth rotatable in directly opposite directions in sliding contact with one another between these shafts and making one end of the rotating teeth open outwardly. CONSTITUTION:A toothed par 4 consists of a pair of parallel rotating shafts 41, each of which is provided with a plurality of rotating teeth 40 rotatable in sliding contact with one another between these shafts. A drive means 5 carried at one end of the toothed part 4 cantilevers the rotating shafts 41 and rotate the same in directly opposite directions. The other end of the toothed part 4 is open outwardly, whereby the documents to be shredded are not limited in width. から挿入するだけで紙片の他方が裁断でき、その操作も
容易であることから、回転歯の枚数を少なくしても繰り
返される裁断操作は簡単なものとなり、低出力、小形化
が可能となる。よって裁断幅を小さくすることでコンパ
クトで低価格の裁断装置を提供できるようになり、身近
な場所に、例えば机やカバンの中などに収納でき、電池
タイプでは外部電力が不要になることで海外などどこに
でも持ち運び、使用することができるようになる。また
紙片の所望の側壁を裁断でき、レターオープナ−として
も利用できるなど、実用性にすぐれた効果を奏するもの
である。
