Since resistors R1 to R3 are connected to capacitors C1 to C3, each capacitor C1 to C3 is charged and discharged by resistors R1 to R3, making accurate measurement and display difficult. . This will be explained using the capacitor CI system in Figure @4 as an example. If the input impedance of the converter 3 is very large, the discharge time constant of the capacitor C1 is represented by the product of the capacitance value of the capacitor C1 and the resistance value of the resistor R1. This time constant is determined by the visual discomfort (unnatural feeling due to the time delay from when the sound disappears to when it is displayed that the frequency component is absent) and the time required for measurement and display. When the operating clock for measurement and display is low, or when the number of filters la to 1c that extract each frequency component is large and measurement and display are performed in a time-sharing manner as shown in Figure 4, measurement and display may be delayed. The time required for display becomes longer. In such a case, in order to accurately measure and display the level, it is necessary to increase the resistance value of the resistor R1 to increase the time constant. However, if the time constant is made large, even if the input audio signal A suddenly disappears, the discharge will occur slowly due to the large time constant, so there will be no situation where the display still shows the fossa level. This has the problem of causing a visual discomfort.

The transistor Ql in the switch means 9 defined by the series circuit of the transistor Q1 and the resistor R1 is in an off state, and the resistor R1 is electrically disconnected from the capacitor c1. Therefore, the output signal of the first frequency filter 1a [Fig. 2 (a)] is rectified by the diode DI and charged to the capacitor CI, and if the impedance after the switch is very high, no discharge is occurring. You can see that there is no. Holding voltage of capacitor C1 [Fig. 2 (
d)] is outputted to the subsequent stage via switch 2 to accurately display the maximum level. When the switch 2 switches to the state in which the capacitor C2 is selected in the period T2, a switching signal si [Fig. 2 (g)] is generated, the transistor Q1 is turned on, and the charge of the capacitor C1 is transferred to the resistor R1. The discharge occurs as shown at 6 in FIG. 2(d). Period T

is electrically disconnected from capacitor C2. Therefore, the output signal of the second frequency filter 1b [Fig.

It is discharged as shown at 7 in FIG. IC
It can be seen that the output signal [FIG. 2(C)] is rectified by the diode D3 and charged to the capacitor C3, and is not discharged. The voltage held by the capacitor C3 [FIG. 2(f)] is outputted to the subsequent stage via the switch 2, and an accurate level display is performed.

By repeating the operations 1 to T3, the maximum levels of components 1 to f3 extracted by the first to third frequency filters 1a to IC are displayed. To do this, the switch means is turned off and the discharge circuit is set to high impedance to maintain the level of each frequency component with high precision. When the charging period ends, the switch means is turned on and the discharge circuit is set to low impedance. Can be discharged quickly. Therefore, as mentioned above, it is possible to perform a highly accurate display, and also to provide a good display that does not give any discomfort to the eye, improving the functions of spectrum analyzers, etc. in audio/visual equipment. It is useful for
