Abstract

PURPOSE:To keep a rivet from rotating to avoid a burnout of a lead, by providing rivets which have protrusions on the back of the flange and pass through a lid, terminals connected to the tops of the rivets and an insulating plate which has holes for the protrusions to be inserted into and is fixed on the lid. CONSTITUTION:On an insulating plate 8 of about 0.5mm thickness, four or more recessed portions 9 are established in the depth of about 1mm and in the width of about 1mm. Into the recessed portions 9, protrusions 6 of rivets 4 are inserted. Between rivet through holes 11 made on the insulating plate 8, a partition wall 10 is set up to gain a creeping by arc discharge. Bushings 13 through which rivets pass are in contact with rubber packings 12, insulating terminals 7 from a lid 3. By virtue of this structure, the rivets are kept from rotating by an existence of the protrusions 6 of the rivets and the recessed portions 9 of the insulating plate, resulting in prevention of a burnout of a lead.

(Prior art) MP capacitors, for example, have a 41 structure in which the capacitor element is housed in a metal case and sealed (problem to be solved by the invention) However, with the conventional lid, rotational force is applied to the terminals. This has the disadvantage that it easily rotates together with the rivet, causing the lead wire connected to the rivet to twist and break.
