In the conventional optical touch panel described above, the optical coupling means has an arrangement structure in which a plurality of light emitting elements 2 and a plurality of light receiving elements 3 are fixed to each side, so that the light reception depends on the surrounding environmental conditions. When direct light such as illumination light is incident on the element 3, there is a problem in that the detection ability is extremely reduced and detection is likely to become impossible.

Therefore, the present invention has been made in view of the above-mentioned conventional problems, and its purpose is to provide an optical touch panel that can improve detection ability without being affected by environmental conditions. [Means for Solving the Problems] The optical touch panel according to the present invention includes an optical coupling means in which light-receiving elements and light-emitting elements are alternately arranged opposite to each other on each side;
Comparison means for comparing ambient light detection signals from the light receiving element;
and selection means for selecting each side of the optical coupling means as a light receiving side or a light emitting side according to the comparison signal.

Fig. 1 is a plan view of essential parts showing the configuration of an optical touch panel according to an embodiment of the present invention, and Fig. 3 is a circuit block diagram thereof. It is attached. First, in FIG. 1, a light emitting element 2 and a light receiving element 3 are arranged alternately on one side of a frame 1 made of an infrared transmitting resin mold, and a pair of light receiving elements 3' and 3' are arranged on the opposite side, respectively. The light emitting elements 2' are arranged alternately to constitute two sets of optical coupling means. In addition, in FIG. 2, the light receiving element 3 on one side shown in FIG.
The light receiving circuit 4 of the light receiving circuit 4, the light emitting element driving circuit 5 of the light emitting element 2, the light receiving circuit 4' of the light receiving element 3' on the opposite side, and the light emitting element driving circuit 5' of the light emitting element 2' are a pair of opposing light receiving/emitting elements. By forming an element bare, the light receiving circuits 4 and 4' detect the ambient light on each opposing side, and the ambient light detection signals are compared by the comparing circuit 6, and the one with the larger amount of light is selected as the light emitting side,
A selection signal is set in the selection signal holding circuit T so that the side with the smaller amount of light is the light receiving side. Then, the set signal is output to the light receiving signal selection circuit 8 and the light emitting element drive circuits 5, 5', and selects the light emitting element 2 and its light receiving element 3 shown in FIG. 1 or the light emitting element 2' and its light receiving element 3' Make a selection. By holding this selection signal at a certain period, it is possible to respond to changes in the surrounding environmental conditions. By detecting the amount of light on each side in this way and switching the side with the smaller amount of light to the light receiving side, the detection ability can be improved.

As explained above, according to the present invention, it is possible to avoid direct irradiation of the light receiving part side due to the incidence of ambient light.
Extremely excellent effects can be obtained in that the influence of surrounding environmental conditions can be suppressed as much as possible and the detection ability can be improved.
