Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the oil separation effect by bringing blow-by gas flowing in a passage formed in a cylinder head cover into contact with a bolt for fastening the cover while it penetrates this passage vertically, thereby liquefying this gas. CONSTITUTION:On the upper part of a head cover 3 covering a cylinder head with its cover chamber 2, there are provided a blow-by gas passage 5 passing blow-by gas to be sent out of a crank chamber 4, and a pair of bolt fitting holes 6, 7 communicated wit the chamber while opened at the upward and downward of this passage 5. The holes 6, 7 are engaged with one bolt 8, whereby the cover 3 is attached to the head 1. It is thus possible to bring and liquefy the blow-by gas flowing inside the passage 5 into contact with the bolt 8, and to drop it into the chamber 2 along the bolt 8. As a result, it is possible to improve the separation effect of oil in the blow-by gas.
