Abstract

PURPOSE:To decrease man-hours by masking non-painting areas with conductive tapes and grounding the conductive tapes, then coating a conductive primer. CONSTITUTION:After a bumper 1 for vehicles is pretreated, the conductive tapes 4 are stuck on the surface 2 to mask the non-painting areas 3. The bumper 1 for vehicles is then imposed in a receiving part 6 provided on a grounded painting carriage 5. The front face of the receiving part 6 is formed to correspond to the rear face shape of the bumper 1 and the conductive tapes 4 are grounded when the bumper 1 is imposed in the receiving part 6. The conductive primer 7 contg. conductive fillers is then coated over the entire part of the surface 2. The coating is subjected to a drying treatment and, therefore, a top coat 8 is electrostatically painted. The working efficiency is thereby improved.

Detailed Description of the Invention A1 Object of the Invention (1) Industrial Application Field The present invention provides a method for applying a conductive primer to a part of the surface of a synthetic resin component, a part of which is set as a non-painting area, excluding the non-painting area. The present invention relates to an electrostatic coating method for synthetic resin parts that must be electrostatically coated with a top coat C after painting.

(2) Conventional technique (i) Conventionally, the method of electrostatically coating the surface of synthetic resin parts with Topcoal I after coating a conductive primer is as follows:
For example, it is known from Japanese Unexamined Patent Publication No. Sho b 1 249570.

(3) The problem to be solved by the invention is that the above-mentioned conventional method avoids deterioration in appearance quality due to the presence of conductive filler such as conductive carton contained in the conductive primer. During electrostatic painting, a metallic substance such as aluminum foil is tightly fixed on the side opposite to the surface of the synthetic resin part to prevent the decrease in conductivity due to the decrease in the content of the conductive feeler. The aim is to avoid this and obtain good finish quality.

On the other hand, to leave the non-painted area unpainted is to apply masking tape to the non-painted area and remove the masking tape after electrostatic painting is completed. , No. 11 method has been used in the past, and if you simply combine this method with the above conventional method, you will need a step of grounding the conductive primer, a step of grounding the metal material, and a step of pasting masking tape. It requires a process of putting on clothes, so it cannot be said that the work efficiency is excellent.

When electrostatically painting the vehicle bumper 1, first of all, as shown in Figure 1 (
As shown in a) and (b), after the vehicle humber 1 is pretreated, a conductive tape 4 is attached to the surface 2 to mask the non-painted area 3. This conductive tape 4 may be made of any material as long as it has conductivity; for example, it may be made of aluminum. Furthermore, as long as the entire non-painted area 3 is masked, the conductive tape 4 can be attached in any way.
Considering the grounding work described later, it is desirable to attach both ends of the conductive tape 4 to the back surface of the +lL dual-use bumper l.

Next, as shown in FIG. 3, the vehicle hanger 1 with the conductive tape 4 attached thereto is placed on the support section 6 provided on the painting truck 5 which is in the grounded state. The painting cart 5 and the receiving part 6 are made of conductive metal.
The upper surface of the receiver part 6 is formed to correspond to the shape of the back surface of the east and dual use hamper 1. Therefore, by placing the vehicle damper 1 on the receiver part 6, both ends of the conductive tape 4 are brought into close contact with the receiver U part 6, and the conductive tape 4 is grounded.

Thereafter, as shown in FIG. 4, a conductive primer 7 containing a conductive filler is applied to the surface 2 containing the conductive tape 4''-4. As a result, the conductive primer 7 is grounded via the conductive tape 4 and the receiving part 6. After coating this conductive primer 7, the coating truck 5 is introduced into a drying oven (not shown) to dry the conductive primer 7.

After the electrostatic coating of the top coat 8, the coating truck 5 is introduced into a drying oven (not shown) to dry the top coat 8. After this drying process, as shown in FIG. 6, by peeling off the conductive tape 4, it is possible to obtain a product in which the surface 2 is electrostatically coated, except for the uncoated area 3, which remains uncoated. can.

C6 Effects of the invention As shown in 1-2, according to the method of the invention, there is a step of massaging the non-painted area with a conductive tape, a JL culm for grounding the conductive tape, and a synthetic resin part. A step of painting a conductive primer over the entire surface, a step of electrostatically applying a top coat on the conductive primer, and a step of applying a conductive tape to the surface are performed in this order. So,
By using a conductive tape to mask the non-painted area and grounding the conductive tape, it is possible to eliminate the electrical conductivity that was conventionally necessary [grounding of raw primer, adhesion of metal to the back side of synthetic resin parts, and grounding]. This eliminates the need for work and improves work efficiency.
