Conventionally, in sliding windows for vehicles, in order to prevent rainwater etc. from entering the vehicle interior, for example, as described in Japanese Utility Model Publication No. 57-18174, both the inner and outer sides of the central part of the window frame have been installed. It is generally known that a weather strip having a lip that tightly contacts both the inner and outer glass is fixed to the lap portion of the glass between the upper and lower window frames. Furthermore, as described in Japanese Patent Publication No. 57-36167, a center sash is installed in a spanning manner between the upper and lower window frames, and this center sash is elastically applied to the above-mentioned inner and outer glass. A weather strip has been proposed in which the sealing between the inner and outer glass is improved by providing a weather strip having a substantially V-shaped cross section and having a pair of lips in contact with each other.

However, in the conventional seal structure described above, holes are provided in which the upper and lower ends of the center sash and the weather strip attached to the center sash are fitted into the glass runs that are attached to the window frame in order to slide the inner and outer glass in a sliding manner. Since it is necessary to drill a hole in the glass run, problems may arise in the sealing performance at the joint between the glass run and the end of the center sash or weather strip. That is, as shown in FIGS. 3 and 4,
A cross section approximately E in which a center protrusion 12 having an umbrella-shaped cross section is formed
When providing an elongated hole 11 in the center of the character-shaped glass run 2 for inserting the center sash 6 and fixing it to the window frame 1, the outdoor side of the center protrusion 12 of the glass run 2 surrounding the elongated hole 11 is provided. The edge 12a is
A straight cut is made in a direction perpendicular to the axis of the glass run 2 so as to coincide with the positions of the expanded end edges 8a, 9a of the V-shaped lips 8, 9. Therefore, a substantially triangular hole 13 is formed between the notch edge 12a and the outwardly expanding surfaces 8c, 9c of the ends of the lips 8, 9, and a hole 13 having a substantially triangular shape is formed through the hole 13 through the elongated hole 11. As a result, rainwater and the like can enter the interior of the vehicle. Third
As shown in the figure, the lower ends 8b, 9b in the longitudinal direction of the lips 8, 9 are in contact with the left and right bottom surfaces 14, 15 sandwiching the base end of the center protrusion 12 of the glass run 2. A flow path is formed from the hole 13 to the interior of the vehicle via a gap 16 between the lower ends 8b, 9b of the lip and the inner side 1c of the window frame 1. In order to remove the holes 13, the linear notch edge 12a of the center protrusion 12 is forcibly pressed down to the base 10a of the pair of lips 8, 9. It is conceivable that the lips 8, 9 may be elastically deformed along the shape of the glasses 3, 4, but if this is done, the problem arises that the lips 8, 9 will be expanded more than necessary at the pressed area, increasing the sliding resistance of the glasses 3, 4. Therefore, the above measures cannot be adopted. The present invention was devised under the above-mentioned circumstances, and solves the above-mentioned problems by connecting the ends of the weather strip 10 and the glass run 2, specifically, the pair of lips 8 of the weather strip 10. ,
To provide a sealing structure for a sliding window for a vehicle, which improves the sealing performance of the abutting part between a glass run 9 and a center protrusion 12 of a glass run 2, and prevents rainwater etc. from entering a vehicle interior.

In the present invention, at the junction of the center protrusion provided in the center of the glass run and the weather strip provided on the outdoor edge of the center sash, the center protrusion is cut out in accordance with the shape of the weather strip. The glass run and the weather strip are brought into close contact to improve sealing performance. By cutting the center protrusion, including the umbrella-shaped portion at the tip, in accordance with the shape of the outwardly expanding surface of the pair of lips formed on the weather strip, the center protrusion can be cut out. The entire surface is in close contact with the outward expanding surface of the end of the lip, and as a result, the triangular holes in the conventional example are eliminated, and the infiltration route of rainwater etc. is blocked, creating a reliable sealing structure. can be formed. Further, even when the center protrusion is pressed against the weather strip, the entire cutout surface of the center protrusion is pressed, and the lip is not expanded excessively at the pressed area, and the sliding of the glass is prevented. There is no possibility that the resistance will increase. On the other hand, by bringing them into elastic contact with an appropriate pressing force, the sealing performance can be further improved.

An embodiment of the present invention is shown below in Figures 5 to 7.
This will be explained in detail based on the drawings. Note that the same members as in the conventional example are given the same reference numerals. This embodiment is an example in which the present invention is applied to a joint between a center sash and a lower window frame of a sliding window for a vehicle. The window frame 1 is a rectangular member made of channel material having a substantially U-shaped cross section, and is attached to the vehicle body by an appropriate means. A rib 14a is formed upright in the longitudinal direction at the center of the inside of the channel material, and the rib 14a divides the inside of the channel into a part where the inner glass 4 is inserted and a part where the outer glass 3 is inserted. ing. The glass run 2 fitted inside the window frame 1 has a substantially E-shaped cross section, extends substantially parallel from the E-shaped base 2a, and has a lip 1 extending inward from the top.
A pair of side walls 17, 18 formed with 9, 20, extending parallel to the both side walls 17, 18 from the base 2a to an intermediate part of the both side walls 17, 18, and having a top portion facing toward the both side walls 17, 18. It has a center protrusion 12 having an umbrella-shaped cross section and once forming a pair of extending lips 23, 24. The glass run 2 is fitted so that its outer side fits snugly into the channel of the window frame 1. In addition, the above-mentioned both side walls 1
7, 18 and the inner and outer slide grooves 15a, 16a constituted by the center protrusion 12, the inner and outer glasses 3, 4 are installed.
are slidably fitted in a sliding manner, respectively, and the inner glass 4 slides while being elastically pinched and guided by the lips 19 and 23, and the outer glass 3 is elastically clamped and guided by the lips 20 and 24, respectively. In addition, the above lip 19, 2
Nos. 0, 23, and 24 are preferably treated with velvet-like flocking on their sliding surfaces to reduce sliding resistance. As shown in FIG. 1, in the middle part sandwiched between the two glasses 3 and 4 of the wrap part 5 where the inner glass 4 and the outer glass 3 overlap when the window is closed,
A center sash 6 is attached so as to span over the upper and lower window frames 1a and 1b. The center sash 6 has its end inserted through an elongated hole 11 formed in the glass run 2 and fitted into a mounting hole 30 formed in the window frame 1, and fixed to the window frame 1 by appropriate means. be done. A mounting groove 25 is formed in the outdoor side edge 7 of the center sash 6 over the entire length of the edge.
A weather strip 10, which has a substantially V-shaped cross section and has a pair of lips 8 and 9 that expand toward the weather strip 4 and come into contact with each other elastically, is attached by elastically fitting the base 10b of the weather strip 10. Lips 8 and 9 above
The lower ends 8b and 9b are the bottom surface 1 of the glass run 2.
4 and 15, respectively. In addition, 27,
Reference numeral 28 denotes auxiliary weather strips attached to both sides of the center sash 6, and together with the weather strip 10 provided on the outdoor side edge 7, a double seal structure can be formed. In the present invention, the center protrusion 12 is
The ends of the pair of lips 8 and 9 of the weather strip 10 are cut so as to come into close contact with the outwardly expanding surfaces 8c and 9c. That is, as shown in FIGS. 5 and 6, the notches are cut out in a V-shape in accordance with the shape of the ends of the lips 8 and 9 expanding outward. The center protrusion 12 is connected to the tip lip 23,
24, the center protrusion 12 is cut out over the entire notched surface of the center protrusion 12 by cutting it out in accordance with the V-shaped outward expanding shape of the pair of lips 8 and 9 formed on the weather strip 10. , the ends of the lips 8 and 9 of the weather strip 10 come into close contact with the outwardly expanding surfaces 8c and 9c, thereby eliminating the triangular holes in the conventional example and blocking the infiltration path of rainwater, etc. A seal structure can be formed. Moreover, even if the center protrusion 12 is pressed against the weather strip 10, the center protrusion 12
The entire cutout surface of the weather strip is pressed, and the pair of lips 8 and 9 of the weather strip 10 are not excessively expanded at the pressed area, which increases the sliding resistance of the inner and outer glasses 3 and 4. Nor. On the contrary, the sealing performance can be further improved by making elastic contact with an appropriate pressing force. In FIGS. 5 and 6, the lips 8 and 9 are shown in their natural state, that is, in a state where they are not elastically deformed due to sliding contact with the inner and outer glasses 3 and 4. When it is fitted, the expansion angle becomes smaller than that shown in FIG. Therefore, the cut edge 1 of the umbrella-shaped center protrusion 12
It is preferable to form the notch 2a assuming the shape after the lips 8, 9 are elastically deformed, in order to avoid increasing the sliding resistance of the glass. As mentioned above, the weather strip 10 is sealed by the seal structure of the vehicle sliding window according to the present invention.
The lower end of the weather strip 10 is inserted into the glass run 2, and more specifically, the sealing performance of the abutting part between the pair of lips 8, 9 and the umbrella-like protrusion 12 is improved, and the sealing performance is improved between the weather strip 10 and both glass surfaces 3, 4. Together with the seal of , the seal of the sliding window can be made perfect. The scope of the present invention is not limited to the above-described embodiments. This embodiment is an example in which the present invention is applied to the seal structure at the joint between the center sash 6 and the lower window frame. It can also be applied. Furthermore, in this embodiment, an example is shown in which the lips 8 and 9 of the weather strip 10 have a V-shaped expanded shape.
The present invention can be applied in exactly the same manner to those having an expanded shape such as a U-shape.
