弁箱内に弁棒を挿入し、該弁棒の下端にフロート
等の弁体を取着し、該弁体の浮力と前記弁棒の上

弁座板に密着するまで排気作用を行い、前記スプ
リングの付勢力に抗して前記弁箱内の負圧により
前記弁体と前記弁座板の密着を解除し弁体を開い
て吸気作用を行う空気弁において、前記弁体を開
口面積の小さなフロート弁体と開口面積の大きな
主弁体の二重構造とし、前記フロート弁体を主弁
体の下部の案内室に設け、該案内室に排気時フロ
ート弁体を作動させるべく水の流入口と、主弁体
に貫通した貫通孔よりボンネツトの開口に空気を
逃すべく空気孔とを設けると共に、前記スプリン
グのバネ常数を吸気時ボンネツトの開口から空気
を流入させるべく弁箱内の負圧により始めて主弁
体と弁座板の密着を解除させ主弁体を開放するよ
