自動車用エンジンユニツトを下方から担持する自
動車用センタメンバにおいて、 前記センタメンバは、並行に配設された2本の
パイプ材が長手方向所定部位で互いに連結され、
且つ、前記2本のパイプ材を、各パイプ材に加わ
るエンジンユニツトからの荷重負担に応じて強度
を異ならせたことを特徴とする自動車用センタメ
ンバ。 (2) 前記2本のパイプ材のうち、荷重負担が大
きい側のパイプ材のパイプ径が荷重負担が小さい
側のパイプ材のパイプ径よりも大径に形成するこ
とで荷重負担に応じて強度を異ならせた請求項1
記載の自動車用センタメンバ。 (3) 前記センタメンバが車体幅方向に延在して
取付けられ、小径パイプ材を車両前側とし、大径
パイプ材を車両後側として底形状が前上がりにな
るように配設されている請求項2記載の自動車用
センタメンバ。 (4) 前記2本のパイプ材のうち、荷重負担が大
きい側のパイプ材のパイプ肉厚が荷重負担が小さ
い側のパイプ材のパイプ肉厚よりも肉厚に形成す
ることで荷重負担に応じて強度を異ならせた請求
