Although an aqueous solution of a water-soluble cutting fluid has many advantages over a water-insoluble solution, it is susceptible to the growth of mold and bacteria and is prone to putrefaction, resulting in various undesirable changes.

In particular, the generation of hydrogen sulfide and the like by anaerobic sulfate-reducing bacteria has an adverse effect on the working environment due to its foul odor, making it difficult to carry out work. On days such as the day after a holiday, anaerobic bacteria increase due to lack of oxygen in the liquid, making the odor even worse. Due to the growth of other bacteria and mold, decomposition progresses and the foul-smelling liquid must be replaced.

There is a method of adding a few percent of drugs such as hexahydrotriazine and tribromosalicylanilide, but if these drugs are used continuously, resistant bacteria will gradually increase and the effects will no longer appear, and they may have toxic effects on the human body. This is not necessarily satisfactory.

As a result of repeated research to develop an anti-septic agent, the present invention was completed.

There are isopropyl and butyl esters. The reason for the spoilage of aqueous solutions of water-soluble cutting fluids is that they contain carbohydrates, minerals, and proteins that are food sources for bacteria and mold, and the liquid temperature is suitable for the growth of bacteria and mold. It's for a reason.

Not only mold, but also viruses and algae are widespread, but by utilizing this extremely strong sterilizing power and adding a very small amount of organic peracid to an aqueous solution of water-soluble cutting fluid, bacteria, It can suppress the growth of mold and prevent the occurrence of bad odors. However, although adding more than 11,000 pp has an anti-corrosion effect, on the other hand, the aqueous solution has an organic peracid odor that adversely affects the working environment, making it unsuitable for practical use. The amount added is 20~
11000 ppm, preferably 100 ppm to 20
0 ppm. In practical terms, depending on the working environment and liquid temperature, it is possible to prevent rot caused by bacteria and mold by periodically adding about 1100 pp of organic peracid to the liquid volume once a month.

The results are shown in Table 1. Table 2 shows the bacterial growth status when the peracetic acid preparation was added and when there was a putrid odor.

At the same time, it is possible to prevent an increase in costs due to disposal of the aqueous cutting fluid solution. In addition, after the organic peracid acts, it decomposes into organic acid, water, and oxygen, and becomes a substance that is safe and harmless to the human body.
