Abstract

PURPOSE:To easily and rapidly detect recording contents for every fixed tape length by performing a reproducing action for a given period of time when a count value of a traveling control signal pulse (CTL) is discriminated to be a multiple of integer of a prescribed value and performing otherwise a fast forwarding or rewinding action. CONSTITUTION:The CTL pulse is counted by counters 11a and 11b and the count value is discriminated as to whether or not the value is the multiple of integer of the prescribed value by a count number discriminating means 12, and then the tape retrieval is performed repeatedly by controlling its traveling based on a discriminating result. Consequently, whenever the count value of the CTL pulse becomes the multiple of integer of the prescribed value, the retrieval, i.e., the reproducing action for the given period of time after the fast forwarding or rewinding action is turned to be effective and then turned into the fast forwarding or rewinding action again. By this method, the recording contents per tape length corresponding to the prescribed value can easily and rapidly be known without operating such a thing as to calculate the count value for tape retrieval and then to deal with the calculated value for setting up one by one.

【特許請求の範囲】[Claims] （１）磁気テープの再生、早送り、巻戻しをおこなう走
行制御手段と、磁気テープ上に記録された走行制御信号
を読みとつて走行制御信号パルスを発生するパルス発生
手段と、上記走行制御信号パルスをカウントする計数手
段と、この計数手段によるカウント値を入力して判別処
理をおこない上記走行制御手段に走行制御信号を出力す
る計数判別手段とを具備し、上記カウント値が所定の値
の整数倍と判別されたとき一定時間に亘る再生動作をお
こない、それ以外のとき早送りまたは巻戻し動作をおこ
なうように構成したことを特徴とする磁気記録再生装置
