Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve welding strength by using a plug hole to perform arc spot welding on a high damping steel plate and subsequently, performing plug arc welding on between an upper side steel plate and an upper plate of the high damping steel plate at the time of welding the high damping plate to its upper side steel plate. CONSTITUTION:The high damping steel plate 1 consists of a laminated plate holding resin 1c between the upper plate 1a and a lower plate 1b and the plates 1a and 1b are made of steel. The steel plate 2 is provided with the plug hole 3 to perform the plug arc welding of a second stage. The plug hole 3 is first utilized and the arc spot welding is performed on the high damping steel plate 1 at its almost central part. At the second stage, the CO2 plug arc welding is performed on between the steel plate 2 and the upper plate 1a of the high damping steel plate 1 where the upper and lower plates are integrated by a nugget 7 and while blowing CO2 gas, the plug hole 3 is filled up by weld metal 8 and both are subjected to plug welding.

Normally, when repairing, the defective part is removed and reassembled by welding, but even if the part was spot welded during regular assembly, the spot gun cannot access it during repair due to the plate assembly, so spot welding is performed. This is often not possible and it is necessary to attach using other welding methods, for example plug welding. An example of this can be seen when a damping steel plate is attached to a steel plate member such as an automobile body from below, a plug hole is provided in the steel plate member, and plug welding is performed from the upper side to weld the damping steel plate to the steel plate member. It will be done. In addition, arc welding and plug welding between vibration damping steel plates and steel plate members are

However, as in the present invention described below,
There is no disclosure of a method for performing arc spot welding on damping steel plates prior to CO2 plug welding.

However, when a damping steel plate consisting of a laminated plate with resin sandwiched between the upper and lower plates is attached to a steel plate member by ordinary CO2 plug arc welding, as shown in Figure 3, the upper plate of damping steel plate 1 is attached to steel plate 2. Since the side panels 1a are not welded and the lower plate 1b does not function as a strength member, there is a problem in that the welding strength (shear strength) is significantly reduced.

Alternatively, as shown in Fig. 4, there is a method of attaching the damping steel upper plate 1a in the part corresponding to the plug hole 3 and performing plug arc welding, but it takes a lot of man-hours to attach the upper plate 1a. However, the resin layer IC is exposed to the inner surface of the plug hole 3 when the resin layer IC bends, so that there is a problem that organic gas blows out from the resin layer IC during CO2 welding, which has a negative effect on the CO2 plug welding.

According to the present invention, the above problems are solved or alleviated by the following method of welding with a damping steel plate. In other words, when performing plug welding between a damping steel plate with a resin sandwiched between the upper and lower plates and a steel plate located above it during repairs, etc., arc spot welding is first applied to the damping steel plate using the plug holes in the steel plate. The upper and lower plates of the vibration-damping steel plate are fused together, and then plug arc welding is performed between the steel plate and the upper plate of the vibration-damping steel plate to fill the plug hole and weld the steel plate and the upper plate of the vibration-damping steel plate. A unique method of welding with vibration-damping steel plates.

In the method of the present invention, since the steel plate has a plug hole, the vibration damping steel plate is first subjected to arc spot welding using the plug hole. As a result, the upper and lower plates of the vibration-damping steel plate are integrated by arc spot welding nuggets at or near the portion where plug welding is to be performed next. Plug welding is then performed between the vibration-damping steel plate and the steel plate in which the upper and lower plates are integrated, but when the steel plate is welded to the upper plate of the vibration-damping steel plate, it is controlled via the nugget created by spot welding. It is also connected to the lower plate of the swing steel plate, and the welding strength is the same as when properly assembled (spot)? I
The contact strength is improved to the same extent as the contact strength. Furthermore, since the intermediate resin layer is not exposed, there is no adverse effect on CO□ plug welding due to the ejection of organic gas from the intermediate resin layer.

Table 1 Welding strength (unit: kgf) Can be used when spot welding with a spot gun cannot be performed during normal assembly due to arc spot welding, plug welding, or plate assembly as described above, i.e. reassembly during repair. It can be used even when a spot gun is not available, expanding the scope of application to welded structures during repair. Moreover, even if one of the members to be reassembled is the damping steel plate 1, arc spot welding is performed on the damping steel plate 1 prior to plug welding, so it is possible to obtain sufficient welding strength.
