Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the driving power cost of an air conditioner and air feed and exhaust fans and to extremely reduce running cost by lowering the flow velocity of the clean air supplied into a painting booth to the rate lower than in a normal operation while a conveyor is under operation. CONSTITUTION:The material W to be coated under transfer by a conveyor 1 is successively painted in the plural painting zones 5, 9, 11 provided in a painting booth 2 with air feeding. The material W is transferred by a conveyor 1 operated intermittently at the prescribed timing into the painting booth 2. The conveyor 1 is stopped and the material is subjected to the painting when the material to be coated arrives at the respective painting zones. The flow velocity of the clean air to be supplied in the painting booth is lowered than the rate in the normal operation during the time when the conveyor is under operation. As a result, the length of the painting booth is shortened and the floor area thereof is extremely decreased; in addition, the initial cost and running cost over the entire part of the painting booth are extremely reduced.

After completing the preparation for painting in the painting preparation zone and moving to the automatic painting zone, the reciprocating coating equipment will automatically paint while moving within the automatic painting zone, and then move to the setting zone where the coating will be applied from within the coating. After flushing the solvent and adjusting the paint film condition, it moves to the hand-sprayed painting zone, and after correction painting is applied while moving within the hand-sprayed painting zone, it moves to the setting zone and flushes out the solvent. has been done.

However, when painting an automobile body with a total length of approximately 5 m while being continuously transported by a conveyor, each zone needs to be approximately 20 m long, so the total length of the painting booth may exceed 100 m. As a result, the installation space becomes very large, and at the same time, the air conditioning capacity of the air conditioner that supplies clean air into the painting booth and the supply and exhaust capacity of the air supply and exhaust fan become large, resulting in a significant increase in equipment costs and running costs. was there.

Therefore, the present invention significantly reduces the installation space by shortening the overall length of the painting booth, and also reduces the capacity and power cost of the air conditioner and supply/exhaust fan that supplies clean air into the painting booth. The objective is to provide a coating method that can significantly reduce the equipment costs and running costs of the entire coating booth, and also provides a coating with a very good coating surface, while also making it extremely easy to apply automatically using a manipulator. do.

In order to achieve this object, the present invention provides a coating method in which a workpiece to be coated transported by a conveyor is sequentially coated in a plurality of coating zones provided in a supply coating booth.
The object to be coated is transferred to a supply coating booth by a conveyor that operates intermittently at a predetermined timing, and when the object to be coated arrives at each coating zone in the coating booth, the conveyor is stopped and the coating is performed. , while the conveyor is operating, the flow velocity of the clean air supplied into the painting booth is lowered than in normal times.

According to the present invention, since the object to be coated is stopped and painted in each coating zone, the length of each coating zone is shortened to reduce the total length of the supply and coating booth, thereby saving the installation space of the coating booth. In addition, the coating surface of the coating film becomes extremely good, and automatic coating by a manipulator becomes easy.

In addition, while the conveyor that transfers the object to be coated is operating, the flow speed of clean air supplied into the painting booth is reduced, so the length of the painting booth can be shortened and the size of the painting booth can be reduced. Together, the capacity and power costs of air conditioners and supply/exhaust fans that supply clean air can be significantly reduced.

As a result, since the car body W is painted while it is stopped, the length of the automatic painting zone 5 can be shortened to about one-third of the conventional one, and the surface of the paint film is very good. , painting by the manipulator 4 can be performed extremely easily without requiring complicated control.

As described above, according to this example, the car body W is intermittently transferred by the floor conveyor 1 at predetermined timing.
is stopped in each coating zone 5, 9, and 11 and coated in state B-, and is stopped in each setting zone 6.10 for a certain period of time when being transferred from the previous coating zone to the next coating zone. Since the solvent is flushed out by the process, the length of each of these zones can be significantly shortened compared to the conventional method, and the installation space of the entire painting booth 2 can be significantly reduced, and the painting can be performed while the automobile body W is stopped. As a result, the coating surface of the coating film becomes extremely good, and automatic coating by the manipulator 4 becomes easy.

Also, in Fig. 1, setting zones 6 and 10 are provided between each coating zone, but as shown in Fig. 2, the setting zones between the coating zones are omitted, and the object to be coated is set in the previous coating zone. Even after finishing painting, the conveyor should be stopped for a certain period of time in that coating zone to flush out the solvent, or the objects to be coated that had been coated in the previous coating zone should be immediately transferred to the next coating zone and transferred to the conveyor. During this one minute, no painting is done in either the automatic painting zone 9 or the hand-blown painting zone 11, so the wind speed of the clean air flowing into the painting booth 2 is reduced to about one-third of the normal speed. .

When the car body W arrives at the hand-blown painting zone 11, the floor conveyor 1 is stopped for 3 minutes, and when there is 1 minute left in the stop time, the wind speed of the clean air flowing into the painting booth 2 is adjusted to the normal speed. At the same time, hand-blown correction painting is performed on the automobile body W that has been completely flushed with the solvent.

When the 3-minute stop time has elapsed, the floor conveyor 1 is operated for 1 minute to transfer the automobile body W that has been painted in the hand-blown painting zone 11 to the setting zone 12. 12, the floor conveyor 1 is stopped for 3 minutes to completely flush out the solvent in the coating film.

In this way, not only the length of each zone is shortened (but also a setting zone is not required between painting zones 9 and 11, the total length of the painting booth 2 is shorter than that shown in Fig. 1). Furthermore, it becomes shorter, the installation space is significantly reduced, and the equipment cost and running cost of the entire painting booth 2 are significantly reduced.

As described above, according to the method of the present invention, it is possible to shorten the length of the coating booth and significantly reduce the installation space, and at the same time, the coating surface of the coating film is good, and automatic coating using a manipulator is possible. This has the great effect of making it extremely easy.

In addition, as the paint booth becomes smaller, the capacity of the air conditioner and air supply/exhaust fan that circulate clean air within the paint booth is also small, which significantly reduces the equipment cost of the entire paint booth. There is an effect.

Furthermore, while the conveyor is operating and the object to be coated is being transferred, the flow velocity of clean air supplied into the coating booth is reduced, reducing power costs for air conditioners and air supply/exhaust fans. It also has the excellent effect of significantly reducing running costs.
