Description
The present invention relates to an autonomous driving device and an autonomous driving method, and in particular to an autonomous driving device and an autonomous driving method suitable for a cleaning device used to clean and remove deposits (accumulated powder) within a specified area.
For example, in a coke plant, coal dust (fallen dust) accumulates on the top of a coke oven due to leakage from coal dust cars that load coal into the oven or from coal storage. If this accumulated coal dust is left alone, the sulfur components in the coal dust will accelerate corrosion of metal structures such as riser pipes, and it will also scatter into the surrounding area, causing adverse effects on the environment. Therefore, the coal dust that has accumulated on the top of the oven is cleaned and removed to protect the oven body and prevent dust from scattering. However, cleaning and removing coal dust that has accumulated on the top of the oven is heavy physical labor performed in a high-temperature, dusty environment, and is dangerous work that poses the risk of heatstroke and dust inhalation.
For example,
When a large amount of fallen powder (usually 1 kg/ m2 or more) exists, such as at the top of a coke oven, a method of suctioning and collecting the powder and storing it in a cleaning device requires a very large device, and therefore a method of scraping the fallen powder with a scraper or the like and accumulating it in a specified location is preferable. However, the cleaning device of
In contrast, with general SLAM technology, which uses a map of the cleaning area to perform autonomous navigation, it is possible to clean the same area in the same pattern every time, and also to scrape up the fallen powder and accumulate it in a specified location. However, if a large amount of fallen powder has accumulated at the top of the coke oven that exceeds the pushing force of the autonomous navigation device, causing it to become stuck when the scraper is unable to push it all away, or if an object is placed there that completely blocks the path of movement, the autonomous navigation device will become stuck and be unable to continue cleaning.
Therefore, an object of the present invention is to provide an autonomous driving device and an autonomous driving method that solve the problems of the conventional technology described above, and that can travel a fixed route easily and in a short time while reducing the risk of getting stuck along the route.
In order to solve the above problems, the present invention provides an autonomous driving device and an autonomous driving method for autonomously driving a mobile dolly while passing through a plurality of waypoints p within a specified area, and when the mobile dolly is autonomously driven to a waypoint p i , the device estimates the self-position of the mobile dolly by a method such as comparing obstacle information a acquired in real time by a range measurement device with obstacle position information a 0 stored in advance, calculates a driving route to the waypoint p i using the estimated self-position and waypoint information b stored in advance, and moves the mobile dolly to the waypoint p i according to the driving route. In order to prevent the mobile dolly from getting stuck during autonomous driving, if it is determined that the mobile dolly is stuck and cannot reach the waypoint p i during the autonomous driving, the device changes the waypoint p of the mobile dolly's destination based on the waypoint information b stored in advance, and more preferably, if it is determined that the driving route of the mobile dolly cannot be generated based on the obstacle information a, an abnormality process is performed to change the waypoint p of the mobile dolly's destination based on the waypoint information b stored in advance. That is, for example, when applied to an autonomous driving device that cleans up deposits within a specified area by scraping them up with a cleaning scraper while autonomously driving, if the cleaning scraper becomes unable to push through a large amount of deposits and becomes stuck, or if the driving path is blocked by an obstacle that is not included in the pre-stored obstacle position information a0 , abnormality processing is performed to change the way point p of the destination of the mobile cart based on the pre-stored way point information b, so that the mobile cart does not get stuck while autonomously driving.

In the present invention, the mobile cart is made to travel autonomously while passing through a plurality of way points p within a designated area, and when the mobile cart is made to travel autonomously to way point p i , the self-position of the mobile cart is estimated by a method such as comparing obstacle information a acquired in real time by a range measurement device with obstacle position information a0 stored in advance, and a travel route to way point p i is calculated using this estimated self-position and way point information b stored in advance, and the mobile cart is made to travel to way point p i along that travel route. Therefore, the mobile cart can be moved to a desired location along a fixed route easily and in a short time. For example, when applied to an autonomous traveling device that cleans by scraping up deposits within a designated area with a cleaning scraper (including the case where a rotating brush is used in combination) while autonomously traveling, the same area can be cleaned in the same pattern every time, and the deposits can be accumulated in a designated location, so that the designated area can be cleaned easily, quickly, and efficiently.
Furthermore, if it is determined that the moving mobile cart is stuck and cannot reach way point p i , then the way point p of the destination of the mobile cart is changed based on the way point information b stored in advance, and more preferably, if it is determined that a travel path for the mobile cart cannot be generated based on the obstacle information a, abnormality processing is performed to change the way point p of the destination of the mobile cart based on the way point information b stored in advance, so that the risk of the mobile cart getting stuck during autonomous driving can be reduced and the mobile cart can be moved to the desired location more reliably and in a shorter time by autonomous driving.
For this reason, for example, when applied to an autonomous traveling device that cleans a designated area by scraping up deposits with a cleaning scraper (including the case where a rotating brush is used in combination) while autonomously traveling, if the cleaning scraper cannot push through a large amount of deposits and becomes stuck, or if the traveling route is blocked by an obstacle that is not included in the pre-stored obstacle position information a0 , abnormality processing is performed to change the way point p of the moving destination of the mobile dolly based on the pre-stored way point information b, so that the mobile dolly does not get stuck during autonomous traveling, and the designated area can be cleaned more efficiently. Also, even when a stuck state occurs or a traveling route cannot be generated and the way point p of the moving destination of the mobile dolly is changed, the way point p to which the moving destination is changed is specified in advance, which has the advantage that there is no need to implement a complicated abnormality processing program.
For the above reasons, the autonomous driving device and method of the present invention are suitable as a cleaning device for the top of a coke oven where coal powder (fallen coal) accumulates, and can efficiently and appropriately carry out cleaning and removal work of the deposits.

The
The waypoint change destination n (waypoint p n ) can be determined in any way, but generally, a waypoint that allows the most efficient movement and work is selected as the waypoint change destination.
The arithmetic and
Furthermore, when estimating the self-position using the SLAM algorithm, it is possible to estimate the self-position of the mobile cart 1 with high accuracy while reducing the calculation load by combining odometry using a movement
The arithmetic and
In addition, the arithmetic and
Furthermore, in order to prevent the
As explained above, examples of cases in which the
Whether or not the
T=αΔL+βΔθ+γ …(1)
Here, the target travel time T is calculated, for example, when the i-th way point p is reached and the i+1-th way point p is set as the next way point, using the distance ΔL between the i-th and i+1-th way points p and the amount of change in attitude angle Δθ (change in attitude angle θ of the carriage). The target travel time T is preferably calculated by the following formula (1) using coefficients α, β, and γ determined taking into account the translational speed and turning speed of the
T = αΔL + βΔθ + γ ... (1)
As another method of determining whether or not the

A sliding guide mechanism (such as a so-called slide guide) is usually used as the mechanism that supports the cleaning

The autonomous driving method of the autonomous driving device is performed according to the flow shown in Figure 7. The
If the driving route can be generated (step S5 success), autonomous driving begins toward way point number 1 (way point p 1 ) in step S6. On the other hand, if the driving route cannot be generated (step S5 failure), way point number i (way point p i ) is changed to way point destination n in step S7, and it is determined in step S8 whether way point number i is greater than way point number j. If way point number i is equal to or less than way point number j (No in step S8), the process returns to step S2 and the way point information of way point destination n is read. On the other hand, if way point number i is greater than way point number j (Yes in step S8), an error is determined in step S9, an error is displayed, and the flow ends.
During the autonomous driving toward waypoint number 1 (waypoint p 1 ) in step S6, the elapsed time t from the start of driving is measured, and in step S10, it is determined whether the elapsed time t exceeds the target driving time T. If the elapsed time t does not exceed the target driving time T (No in step S10), it is determined in step S11 whether the target point (waypoint number 1) has been reached. On the other hand, if the elapsed time t exceeds the target driving time T (Yes in step S10), the process proceeds to step S7, and thereafter the same flow as above is followed. That is, in step S7, the waypoint number i (waypoint p i ) is changed to waypoint destination n, and in step S8, it is determined whether the waypoint number i is greater than the number of waypoints j. If the waypoint number i is equal to or less than the number of waypoints j (No in step S8), the process returns to step S2 and the waypoint information of waypoint destination n is read. On the other hand, if the waypoint number i is greater than the number of waypoints j (Yes in step S8), an error is determined in step S9, an error is displayed, and the flow ends.
In step S11, whether the target point (way point number 1) has been reached is determined based on the estimation of the self-position. That is, until the target point is reached, the self-position is estimated at regular time intervals, a driving route to the target point is generated based on the estimated self-position, and driving is performed along the driving route. This procedure is repeated while driving toward the target point, and it is determined that the target point has been reached when the distance between the successively estimated self-position and the target point (way point number 1) becomes equal to or less than a certain value. If it is determined that the target point (way point number 1) has been reached (step S11 is Yes), the next way point is set in step S12 (i = i + 1), and it is determined in step S13 whether the way point number i is equal to or greater than the way point number j (i ≥ j). If the way point number i is less than the way point number j (step S13 is No), the process returns to step S2, and the flow from step S2 onwards is repeated. On the other hand, if the way point number i is equal to or greater than the way point number j in step S13 (step S13 is Yes), the flow ends. Also, if it is determined in step S11 that the target point (waypoint number 1) has not been reached (step S11 is No), the process returns to step S2 and repeats the flow from step S2 onwards.

The details of the autonomous driving method of the present invention and the device used to implement it are the same as those described above for the autonomous driving device, and detailed description thereof will be omitted.
The autonomous mobile device and method of the present invention are suitable for use as a cleaning device for the top of a coke oven where coal dust (fallen coal) accumulates, and can efficiently and appropriately carry out cleaning and removal work of the deposits.

FIG. 8 shows the building plan in which the test was conducted, expressed in a coordinate system, and indicates the positions of the pillars, the area where the coal powder was scattered, the initial position (starting point) of the carriage, the final position (end point) of the carriage, and the location where the coal powder was collected.
Figure 9 shows the cleaning route taken by the cleaning device (note that points [1] to [13] described below are indicated by circled numbers in Figure 9, and the same applies to Figures 10 to 16). The cleaning route taken by this cleaning device involves cleaning (moving) from point [1] to point [2], scraping up coal powder and temporarily storing it near point [2]. In the same way, it cleans (moves) from point [3] to point [4], from point [5] to point [6], from point [7] to point [8], and from point [9] to point [10] in sequence, scraping up coal powder and temporarily storing it near point [4], point [6], point [8], and point [10], respectively. Next, the route is to clean (move) between point [11] and point [12], gradually gathering up the coal powder that has been temporarily stored and accumulated in multiple locations as described above, and then to accumulate all of the coal powder at the coal powder collection site at point [12], after which it heads to the final point [13].

[Test Example 1]
In this test example, a cleaning test was carried out using the cleaning device with coal powder scattered between the pillars at approximately 1 kg/ m2 to a nearly uniform thickness (total amount of coal powder scattered: 1.25 kg). The movement trajectory of the cleaning device based on Figure 9 is shown in Figure 10.
The cleaning device was able to move to way point p17 (final position) via way points p1 to p16 in order. The amount of coal powder collected (recovered amount) at the coal powder collection location (way point p16 ) was 1.04 kg. The collection rate calculated by (collected amount)/(scattered amount)×100 was 83%, which indicates that the coal powder was properly cleaned up.
[Test Example 2]
In this test example, coal powder was spread at approximately 1 kg/ m2 to a substantially uniform thickness between pillars other than the positions shown in Fig. 11 (positions between points [5] and [6]), and coal powder was spread at approximately 10 kg/ m2 to a substantially uniform thickness between the positions shown in Fig. 11 (positions between points [5] and [6]) (total amount of coal powder spread: 3.5 kg), and a cleaning test was carried out using the cleaning device in the same manner as in Test Example 1. The movement trajectory of the cleaning device based on Fig. 11 is shown in Fig. 12.
In this test, the cleaning device was able to move up to point [5] (way point p7 ) in the same way as in Test Example 1, but it became unable to push the coal powder while cleaning (moving) between point [5] (way point p7 ) and point [6] (way point p8 ), and it was determined that the cleaning device was stuck when the elapsed time t from leaving point [5] (way point p7 ) exceeded the target travel time T. As a result, based on the way point information (way point change destination n) at way point p8 , the next way point to move to was changed to way point p10 , and the cleaning device moved to way point p10 by passing way point p8 . After that, it was able to move along the same route as in Test Example 1. The amount of coal powder (recovery amount) collected at the coal powder collection site (way point p16 ) was 0.82 kg. The recovery rate, calculated as (amount recovered) ÷ (amount spread (excluding the amount spread between point [5] and point [6])) × 100, is 82%, which indicates that the coal powder was properly cleaned up. The target travel time T was calculated using formula (1), with coefficients α, β, and γ set to 0.5, 0.5, and 20, respectively.
For comparison, the movement trajectory of an autonomous cleaning device using general SLAM technology is shown in Figure 13. In this case, the cleaning device (mobile cart) became unable to push through the coal powder while cleaning (moving) between point [5] (way point p7 ) and point [6] (way point p8 ), and was unable to move just before point [6] (way point p8 ), becoming stuck.
[Test Example 3]
In this test example, a pail can was placed as an obstacle at the position shown in Figure 14 (near point [6]) to physically prevent access to point [6], and coal powder was spread (spread amount 1.0 kg) between the pillars other than the pail can in a nearly uniform thickness at about 1 kg/ m2 , and a cleaning test was carried out using the cleaning device in the same manner as in Test Example 1. The movement trajectory of the cleaning device based on Figure 14 is shown in Figure 15.
In this test, the cleaning device was able to move to point [5] (way point p 7 ) in the same way as in Test Example 1, but based on the obstacle information a acquired by the measurement by the
For comparison, the movement trajectory of an autonomous cleaning device using conventional SLAM technology is shown in Figure 16. In this case, the path was completely blocked by the pail, making it impossible for the mobile vehicle to proceed to point [6] and causing it to become stuck.
Next, in order to evaluate the cleaning ability of the autonomous mobile device (cleaning device) of the present invention having a cleaning
[Test Example 4]
In this cleaning device, when the cleaning
In this test, under the conditions shown below, dust was modeled in advance as a mixture of Φ5 mm (assuming powder) and Φ50 mm (assuming lumps), and the improvement in dust cleaning efficiency was evaluated using particle behavior calculations generally known as DEM analysis.
Figure 17 shows an outline of the DEM analysis, and the behavior of dust being swept out of a narrow space created by a pillar and a wall was simulated using the model of the system shown in the figure. The basic conditions for this analysis are as follows:
・Cross-sectional dimensions of pillar: 200mm x 200mm
Wall shape: Simulated as a vertical plane in contact with a pillar Dust (sediment) particle size: Powder 0.5 mm, lump 50 mm
・Powder angle of repose: 54° (adjust interparticle friction coefficient to within ±5°)
Dust (sediment) density: 1.4 g/ cm3
・Initial placement of dust (deposit): 200 mm x 200 mm, 50 mm high flat surface in front of the pillar. ・Lumps (large particles): 3 x 3 placed at equal intervals to touch the four corners of the boundary of the above range. ・Powder (small particles): Randomly filled in areas other than the lumps in the above range. ・Cleaning scraper speed: 0.4 m/s (+Y direction).
In this analysis, a total of four cases were considered in which the shapes and conditions of the cleaning
Figure 19 shows the results of the DEM analysis, and in order to compare the ability of the rotating brush to scrape out dust (deposits) to the side, it shows the time history of the number of small particles (number of powder particles) remaining in the range in front of the pillar (within 200 mm from the wall surface in the x direction) in
Based on the above-mentioned preliminary evaluation, a cleaning test was carried out in the same manner as in Test Examples 1 to 3 above. As a result, the recovery rate of coal powder was improved from approximately 80% to approximately 90%, confirming the effect of using the rotating brush.
As shown in the above test examples 1 to 4, the cleaning device (autonomous traveling device) of the present invention autonomously travels through the way points p i in sequence based on the way point information b stored in advance and executes the operations required for cleaning. Also, when it is determined that the cleaning device has become stuck while moving toward the way point p i , it can change the way point p to be moved to based on the way point information b and move to the new way point p n , thereby avoiding getting stuck. Furthermore, even when it is determined that a travel route to the way point p i to be moved to cannot be generated based on the measured obstacle information a, it can change the way point p to be moved to based on the way point information b and move to the new way point p n , thereby avoiding getting stuck. As a result, it can be seen that the designated area can be efficiently cleaned to the end without getting stuck in the middle of the moving route.
