Description
This disclosure relates to a ground improvement composite pile foundation, a ground improvement composite pile combined independent footing foundation, and a design method for a ground improvement composite pile combined independent footing foundation.
Conventionally, ground improvement has been carried out to increase the bearing capacity of soft ground and suppress subsidence. For example, the ground improvement disclosed in
When a horizontal force acts on a pile, the ground around the pile becomes plastic and rises, reducing the horizontal resistance of the pile. In this case, the uplift of the ground is thought to be caused by the propagation of a slip line diagonally upward from the part of the pile located at the boundary depth between plastic zone I and plastic zone II in the ground. The horizontal resistance of the pile depends on the shear force acting on the slip surface, and since the shear force is related to the internal friction angle φ and the adhesion force c, it is thought that if these can be increased over the entire area of the slip line, the horizontal resistance of the pile can be increased.
In contrast,
In view of the above, an object of at least one embodiment of the present invention is to provide a ground improvement composite pile foundation with improved horizontal resistance, an independent footing foundation combined with ground improvement composite piles, and a design method for an independent footing foundation combined with ground improvement composite piles.
(1) At least one embodiment of the ground improvement composite pile foundation of the present invention is
An improvement body provided on the surface layer of the ground and composed of soil and sand from the surface layer and a solidification material mixed with the soil and sand;
and one or more piles sunk into the improvement body;
The surface layer of the ground is composed of clay ground,
When the outer diameter of the pile is Dp and the distance from the center of the pile to the outer edge of the improvement body or a virtual polygon circumscribing the improvement body is Lpi,
The clay ground has a depth of 2.5 Dp or more,
The distance Lpi is expressed by the following formula:
2.6 Dp < Lpi < 3.4 Dp
The relationship shown in
The vertical support force , which is the sum of the peripheral friction force of the outer surface of the improved body and the tip support force of the bottom surface of the improved body, is configured to be set based on the outer periphery and bottom area of the improved body.
Clayey soil ground has the characteristic that the internal friction angle φ is small and has cohesion c, and since the internal friction angle φ is generally considered to be ≈ 0, in clayey soil (including clayey soil), the boundary depth between plastic zone I and plastic zone II is a maximum of about 2.5 times the outer diameter Dp of the pile, and the slip line propagates diagonally upward at an angle of 45 degrees from the boundary depth. Therefore, the range that the slip line reaches on the surface of the ground is a range of about 6 Dp from the pile center.
Considering this, in the above configuration (1), the distance Lpi from the center of the pile to the outer edge of the improved body or to the polygon circumscribing the improved body is set to more than 2.6 Dp and less than 3.4 Dp. This allows almost the entire area of the slip line propagating from the boundary depth to pass through the improved body, making it possible to increase the viscosity and therefore the shear force at the slip line. As a result, the occurrence of slip lines is suppressed and the horizontal resistance of the pile can be increased.
(2) In some embodiments, in the above configuration (1),
The one or more piles do not have protrusions for transmitting vertical loads to the improvement.
(3) In some embodiments, in the above configuration (1) or (2),
It further includes a ground surface reinforcing layer covering the surface of the surrounding ground around the improvement body.
If the piles and the improvement body are highly integrated and there is a large difference in strength between the surrounding ground and the improvement body, there is a risk that slip lines will develop in the ground around the improvement body, causing the surrounding ground to deform and reducing horizontal resistance.
In this regard, according to the above configuration (3), by covering the surface of the surrounding ground with a ground surface reinforcing layer, deformation of the surrounding ground can be suppressed and the horizontal resistance force of the pile can be increased.
(4) In some embodiments, in any one of the above configurations (1) to (3),
The improved body further includes an improved body surface reinforcing layer covering the surface of the improved body.
According to the above configuration (4), by providing a surface reinforcing layer on the improved body, deformation of the improved body can be suppressed, and the horizontal resistance of the pile can be further increased.
(5) In some embodiments, in the above configuration (4),
The improved body surface reinforcing layer is composed of a metal plate,
The improvement body further includes a protrusion formed integrally with the plate and embedded inside the improvement body or at the boundary between the improvement body and the surrounding ground around the improvement body.
According to the above configuration (5), by providing the protrusions, deformation of the improvement body can be suppressed and the horizontal resistance force of the pile can be increased.
(6) In some embodiments, in the above configuration (5),
The protrusion is configured to interrupt a straight slide line having a passive collapse angle in cross-sectional view that propagates obliquely upward from a portion of the outer surface of the pile located at the boundary depth between plastic zone I, which attempts to displace diagonally upward when a horizontal force acts on the head of the pile in the ground, and plastic zone II below plastic zone I.
According to the above configuration (6), the projections suppress the occurrence of slip lines and increase the horizontal resistance of the pile.
(7) In some embodiments, in the above configuration (5) or (6),
The plate has one or more through holes.
According to the above configuration (7), the unhardened improvement body penetrates into the through-hole of the plate and then hardens, which enhances the integrity of the plate and the improvement body. Therefore, the plate can further suppress deformation of the improvement body, and the horizontal resistance of the pile can be increased.
(8) In some embodiments, in any one of the above configurations (5) to (7),
The plate is joined to the pile.
According to the above configuration (8), the deformation and displacement of the pile are transmitted to the improvement body via the plate, thereby suppressing the deformation and displacement of the pile, thereby further increasing the horizontal resistance force of the pile.
(9) In some embodiments, in any one of the above configurations (1) to (8),
The improvement body has a protrusion attached to the pile inside,
The protrusion is positioned so as to interrupt a straight slide line having a passive collapse angle in cross-sectional view that propagates obliquely upward from a portion of the outer surface of the pile located at the boundary depth between plastic zone I, which tends to displace diagonally upward when a horizontal force acts on the head of the pile in the ground, and plastic zone II below plastic zone I.
According to the above configuration (9), the projection portion can suppress the occurrence of slip lines and increase the horizontal resistance of the pile.
0.8Ai≦Af≦1.2Ai

(10) At least one embodiment of the present invention relates to a ground improvement composite pile combined independent footing foundation,
A ground improvement composite pile foundation according to any one of the above configurations (1) to (9),
A footing made of concrete is placed on the piles and the improvement body,
When the bottom area of the footing is Af and the surface area of the improved body is Ai, the following formula is obtained:
0.8Ai≦Af≦1.2Ai
The relationship shown in is satisfied.
According to the above configuration (10), since the footing is provided over almost the entire surface of the improved body, the deformation of the improved body can be suppressed by the footing, and the horizontal resistance of the pile can be increased. In addition, since the footing is provided over almost the entire surface of the improved body, the vertical load from the superstructure can be directly borne by the improved body. Therefore, there is no need to transmit the vertical load of the superstructure to the improved body via the pile, which simplifies the pile head joint structure and makes it possible to use piles with low compressive strength.

An improvement body provided on the surface layer of the ground and composed of soil and sand from the surface layer and a solidification material mixed with the soil and sand;
One or more piles sunk into the improvement body;
A method for designing a composite pile-assisted independent footing foundation for ground improvement comprising: a footing made of concrete placed on the piles and the improvement body; and a surface layer of the ground made of clay,
When the outer diameter of the pile is Dp and the distance from the center of the pile to the outer edge of the improvement body or a virtual polygon circumscribing the improvement body is Lpi ,
The clay ground has a depth of 2.5 Dp or more,
The distance Lpi is expressed by the following formula:
2.6 Dp < Lpi < 3.4 Dp
The outer diameter Dp of the pile and the distance Lpi are set so as to satisfy the relationship shown in
When the bottom area of the footing is Af and the surface area of the improved body is Ai, the following formula is obtained:
0.8Ai≦Af≦1.2Ai
The bottom area Af of the footing and the surface area Ai of the improved body are set so as to satisfy the relationship shown below.
The vertical support force , which is the sum of the peripheral friction force of the outer surface of the improved body and the tip support force of the bottom surface of the improved body, is configured to be set based on the outer periphery and bottom area of the improved body.
According to the above configuration (11), by setting the distance Lpi from the center of the pile to the outer edge of the improved body or to the polygon circumscribing the improved body to more than 2.6 Dp and less than 3.4 Dp, the entire area of the slip line propagating from the boundary depth passes through the improved body, and the viscosity and therefore the shear force at the slip line can be increased. As a result, the occurrence of slip lines is suppressed, and the horizontal resistance of the pile can be increased.
According to the above configuration (11), the footing is provided over almost the entire surface of the improved body, so that the deformation of the improved body can be suppressed by the footing, and the horizontal resistance of the pile can be increased. Also, since the footing is provided over almost the entire surface of the improved body, the vertical load from the superstructure can be directly borne by the improved body. Therefore, there is no need to transmit the vertical load of the superstructure to the improved body via the pile, so that the pile head joint structure can be simplified and piles with low compressive strength can be used.

(12) In some embodiments, in the above configuration (11),
The one or more piles are not provided with protrusions for transmitting vertical loads to the improvement body.
According to the above configuration (12), by setting the distance from the center of the pile to the outer edge of the improved body or to the polygon circumscribing the improved body based on the boundary depth between plastic zone I and plastic zone II, it is possible to make almost the entire area of the slip line propagating from the boundary depth pass through the improved body. As a result, it is possible to increase the viscosity and therefore the shear force at the slip line, suppress the occurrence of slip lines, and increase the horizontal resistance of the pile.
According to the above configuration (12), the footing is provided over almost the entire surface of the improved body, so that the deformation of the improved body can be suppressed by the footing, and the horizontal resistance of the pile can be increased.

As shown in Figures 1 to 3, the ground improvement

In other words, in the ground improvement
2.6 Dp < Lpi < 3.4 Dp
The relationship shown in is satisfied.

Figure 4 is a diagram to explain the deformation of the ground when a horizontal force acts on the pile head. Figure 5 is a graph showing the relationship between undrained shear strength Cu and boundary depth Zpc in clay ground. Boundary depth Zpc indicates the depth of the boundary between plastic zone I and plastic zone II, and is standardized by the outer diameter of the pile. Therefore, the actual boundary depth can be obtained by multiplying boundary depth Zpc by the outer diameter of the pile.
As shown in Figure 4, when a horizontal force acts on the pile head, the soil in plastic zone I on the front side (front surface) in the direction of the horizontal force is pushed by the pile, causing a slip line to form and displace the soil diagonally upward, while on the rear side (back surface) in the direction of the horizontal force, the soil in plastic zone I sinks as the pile deforms.
On the other hand, even if the pile is deformed by a horizontal force, the soil in the plastic zone II in front of the horizontal force will move around the side of the pile and toward the rear due to the action of overburden pressure, and will not move upward.
Therefore, in order to suppress deformation of the ground around the pile due to horizontal forces, it is important to improve the plastic zone I, and for this it is important to understand the depth of the plastic zone I.
As shown in Figure 5, in clay ground, the boundary depth between plastic zone I and plastic zone II is a maximum of about 2.5 times the outer diameter Dp of the pile, and the slip line propagates diagonally upward at an angle of 45 degrees from the boundary depth. Therefore, the range that the slip line reaches on the ground surface is a range of about 6 Dp from the center of the pile.
Taking this into consideration, in the above configuration, the outer diameter Di of the

Figure 6 (b) is a schematic plan view of a ground improvement

According to the above configuration, by providing the improved body
Here, Figure 9 is a diagram for explaining the action and effect of the improved body

Figure 21 is a schematic plan view of a soil improvement composite pile combined independent footing foundation (hereinafter simply referred to as a footing foundation) 3 according to another embodiment of the present invention. The
On the other hand, the

It is judged whether the following holds true or not.
In addition, the symbols in the formula are as follows.
