Description
The present invention relates to a driving assistance device for a vehicle in which the driving paths subject to driving assistance control are expanded to racing paths.
In recent years, driving assistance devices have been put into practical use to assist the driver in driving operations in automobiles and other vehicles, with the aim of reducing the burden of driving operations on the driver and improving safety. In this type of driving assistance device, various technologies have been developed for a driving assistance mode that performs steering assistance control and acceleration/deceleration control on the premise that the driver performs the main driving operation, and a driving assistance mode for driving the vehicle without the need for driving operations by the driver (so-called automatic driving mode) (for example, see Patent Document 1).
Driving assistance control is generally applied when the vehicle travels a route from the current location to a destination (i.e., a route consisting of public roads such as general roads and expressways). On the other hand, if such driving assistance control is extended and applied to a competition road, it is expected that even drivers who are unfamiliar with competition driving can safely learn competition driving techniques.
However, the driving assistance devices described above are basically designed to control the vehicle's behavior with a certain margin of safety. Therefore, some of the driving assistance controls are not suitable for competitive driving, and there is a risk that the various controls that are used on roads other than competition roads may interfere with competitive driving if they are executed as is.
On the other hand, because competition tracks are expected to be driven at higher speeds than other tracks, it is desirable to ensure a minimum level of safety, especially for drivers who are inexperienced in competition driving.
The present invention was made in consideration of the above circumstances, and aims to provide a vehicle driving assistance device that can provide driving assistance on a competition track while ensuring safety and without interfering with the competition run.

The vehicle driving assistance device of the present invention can provide driving assistance on a racing track while ensuring safety and without interfering with the racing run.
An embodiment of one aspect of the present invention will be described in detail below with reference to the drawings. The driving support device 1 shown in FIG. 1 is mounted on a vehicle (own vehicle) such as an automobile. The driving support device 1 has a
The
The
The
The map information acquisition unit 12b also transmits the acquired route map information (lane data on the route map) to the vehicle position estimation unit 12a. The vehicle position estimation unit 12a acquires the position coordinates of the vehicle based on the positioning signal received by the GNSS
In addition, in an environment where a valid positioning signal from a positioning satellite cannot be received due to reduced sensitivity of the
Furthermore, the vehicle position estimation unit 12a estimates the vehicle's position on a road map based on the positioning signal received by the
また、走行環境を認識するためのユニットとして、カメラユニット21に代えて、他のセンサ(例えば、レーダ、LIDAR(Light Detection and Ranging、Laser Imaging Detection and Ranging)等)を用いたセンサユニットを採用することも可能である。
The
IPU 21c processes the forward driving environment image information of the area in front of the vehicle captured by both
Based on distance image information received from IPU 21c, the driving
The driving
The driving
The vehicle position estimated by the vehicle position estimation unit 12a of the
The output side of the
The driving modes set in the driving_ECU 22 are a manual driving mode, a first driving assistance mode and a second driving assistance mode which are modes for driving assistance control, and an evacuation mode.
Here, manual driving mode refers to a driving mode that requires the driver to maintain steering, for example, a driving mode in which the vehicle is driven according to driving operations such as steering, accelerator, and brake operations by the driver.
Similarly, the first driving assistance mode is a driving mode that requires the driver to maintain steering. In other words, the first driving assistance mode is a semi-automated driving mode that drives the vehicle along a target driving route by appropriately combining mainly adaptive cruise control, active lane keep centering control (ALKC), and active lane keep bouncing control, for example, through control of the E/
The second driving assistance mode is an autonomous driving mode in which the vehicle travels along a target driving route by performing an appropriate combination of preceding vehicle following control, lane centering control, and lane departure prevention control, for example, through control of the E/
Furthermore, in the manual driving mode and the first and second driving assistance modes, if an obstacle is present ahead on the road, or if the vehicle is predicted to enter a curve ahead on the road at an excessive speed, the driving_ECU 22 is able to appropriately perform emergency braking control, deceleration control, etc., through control over the BK_ECU 25, etc.
The evacuation mode is a mode for automatically stopping the vehicle on a roadside or the like when, for example, while driving in the second driving assistance mode, driving in that mode cannot be continued and the driver cannot take over driving operations (i.e., when the vehicle cannot transition to the manual driving mode or the first driving assistance mode).
Each driving mode set in this way can be selectively switched in the
A
An electric
A
In such a driving assistance device 1, the driving_ECU 22 has at least two driving control settings with different control characteristics and control contents as driving control settings executed in the above-mentioned driving assistance control (first and second driving assistance modes). Specifically, the driving_ECU 22 has a first driving control setting that is applied to driving paths other than the competition driving path, and a second driving control setting that is applied to the competition driving path. Then, the driving_ECU 22 performs driving assistance control using the first driving control setting when the road type of the driving path on which the vehicle is currently traveling is other than the competition driving path, and performs driving assistance control using the second driving control setting when the road type of the driving path on which the vehicle is currently traveling is the competition driving path. Thus, in this embodiment, the driving_ECU 22 realizes each function as a driving assistance control means and a control switching means.
Here, each driving control setting is a combination of various control contents such as the preceding vehicle following control, lane centering control, lane departure prevention control, emergency brake control, and deceleration control, etc., with predetermined control characteristics. The first driving control setting can be subdivided as necessary into types of driving roads (e.g., general roads, mountain roads, and expressways, etc.), and multiple driving control settings that differ for each type of subdivided driving road can be set. That is, as the first driving control setting, for example, a control setting to be used when driving on an expressway and a control setting to be used when driving on a general road can be set. In this case, for example, lane departure control can be appropriately combined with collision damage mitigation control, etc.
For example, in lane centering control, the
That is, the
In addition, the
Then, the
Iff=Giff・κ …(1)
Iff = Giff · κ ... (1)
Here, Giff denotes a feedforward gain that is set in advance through experiments, calculations, etc., and κ denotes a curvature component of the target path.
Furthermore, the
Ifb=Gifb・Δx …(2)
Ifb = Gifb · Δx ... (2)
Here, Gifb indicates a feedback gain that is set in advance through experiments, calculations, etc.
Then, the
Icmd=Ipsb+Iff+Ifb …(3)
Icmd=Ipsb+Iff+Ifb (3)
The electric motor current value Icmd calculated in this manner is output to the
In addition, instead of controlling the drive of the electric
In this embodiment, this lane centering control is included only in the first driving control setting, and not in the second driving control setting.
In other words, in competitive driving, which is all about how fast you can drive on a competition track, lane center keeping control, which is a comfortable control for driving in the center of the lane, is actually an obstacle to driving, so it is not adopted in the second driving control setting.
However, in the second driving control setting, instead of lane centering control, it is possible to include ideal path keeping control for maintaining an ideal path for high-speed driving on the competition course.
To realize this ideal route maintenance control, the
Alternatively, the
Then, when the
In addition, instead of controlling the drive of the electric
For example, as lane departure prevention control, the
In this lane departure prevention control, the
θyaw=tan-1((BL+BR)/2) …(4)
θyaw=tan −1 ((BL+BR)/2) ... (4)
As shown in FIG. 4, BL and BR indicate the inclinations of the left and right lane markings in the width direction of the vehicle.
In addition, the
xv=(CL+CR)/2 …(5)
xv = (CL + CR) / 2 ... (5)
As shown in FIG. 4, CL and CR indicate the positions of the left and right lane markings in the width direction of the host vehicle.
The travel_ECU22 also calculates the lane-vehicle distance L, for example, using the following formula (6).
L=(CL-CR)-TR)/2-xv …(6)
L = (CL-CR)-TR) / 2-xv ... (6)
Here, TR is the tread of the vehicle, and in this embodiment, the tire position is used as the criterion for determining lane departure.
In addition, the
Tttlc=L/(V・sin(θyaw)) …(7)
Tttlc=L/(V·sin(θyaw)) ... (7)
In addition, the
γt=-θyaw/Tttlc …(8)
γt = -θyaw / Tttlc ... (8)
In addition, the
Mzt=Kp・(γt-γ)+Ki・∫(γt-γ)
+Kd・d(γt-γ)/dt (9)
Mzt = Kp (γt-γ) + Ki ∫ (γt-γ)
+ Kd d(γt-γ) / dt (9)
Here, Kp is the proportional gain, Ki is the integral gain, and Kd is the differential gain.
Then, the
In addition, prior to controlling the drive of the electric
In this embodiment, this lane departure prevention control is included in the first driving control setting and the second driving control setting. However, the control characteristics are different between the first and second driving control settings.
That is, in a competition run that pursues how fast the vehicle can run on a competition runway, it is assumed that the vehicle will go out of the way and go out of the way around a curve. In addition, in a competition run, there is little need to perform driving control from the viewpoint of driving at a deceleration or lateral acceleration that does not cause the driver to feel uneasy or uncomfortable, and it is acceptable for the lateral acceleration and yaw moment acting on the vehicle to be greater than in driving on other runs. Therefore, the threshold value for the lane departure expected time Tttlc is set relatively smaller (shorter) in the second driving control setting than in the first driving control setting. In addition, the gains used in calculating the target yaw moment Mzt are set relatively larger in the second driving control setting than in the first driving control setting. Furthermore, in the lane departure suppression control in the second driving control setting, it is also possible to virtually move the position of the lane marking to the edge of the road shoulder (for example, the boundary between the asphalt and the grass).
For example, as emergency brake control, the
That is, the
The travel_ECU22 also searches to see if there are any obstacles or other three-dimensional objects within the selected area.
If a three-dimensional object is present within the selected area, the
Then, when the collision prediction time TTC is less than a preset threshold value, the
In addition, prior to controlling the operation of the
In this embodiment, this emergency brake control is included in the first driving control setting and the second driving control setting. The control characteristics in this emergency brake control are set to be the same in the first driving control setting and the second driving control setting.
In other words, emergency brake control is an emergency avoidance control for avoiding a collision with a three-dimensional object by stopping the vehicle at the maximum target deceleration that can avoid slipping, etc., of the vehicle in the current driving state. For this reason, in emergency brake control, priority is given to generating strong brakes to avoid a collision with a three-dimensional object, rather than to avoid giving the driver a sense of anxiety or discomfort. Note that the target deceleration in emergency brake control and the threshold value for the collision prediction time TTC are set in advance based on experiments, simulations, etc.
For example, to control deceleration when entering a curve, the
In other words, when there is a curve on the roadway on which the vehicle is traveling, the
In addition, when the driving_ECU22 determines that the lateral acceleration is greater than the allowable lateral acceleration and that deceleration is necessary before entering the curve, it calculates a target vehicle speed for making the lateral acceleration during curve driving equal to or less than the allowable lateral acceleration, and calculates the deceleration distance required to decelerate to the target speed using a preset target deceleration.
Then, when the distance from the vehicle to the entrance of the curve becomes equal to or less than the deceleration distance, the
In addition, prior to controlling the drive of the
In this embodiment, this deceleration control is included in the first driving control setting and the second driving control setting. However, the control characteristics of the first driving control setting and the second driving control setting are different.
That is, the allowable lateral acceleration (and target vehicle speed) in the first driving control setting is set to a value smaller than the allowable lateral acceleration (and target vehicle speed) in the second driving control setting. More specifically, the allowable lateral acceleration in the first driving control setting is set to a relatively small lateral acceleration that does not give the driver a sense of anxiety or discomfort. On the other hand, the allowable lateral acceleration in the second driving control setting is set to a value as large as possible within a range that can prevent the vehicle from going off course, for example. Also, the target deceleration in the first driving control setting is set to a value smaller than the target deceleration in the second driving control setting. More specifically, the target deceleration in the first driving control setting is set to a relatively small deceleration that does not give the driver a sense of anxiety or discomfort. On the other hand, the target deceleration in the second driving control setting is set to a relatively large deceleration to avoid unintended deceleration by the driver and to achieve rapid deceleration when deceleration is necessary. The target deceleration, target vehicle speed, and allowable lateral acceleration for the first and second driving control settings are set in advance based on experiments, simulations, etc.
Next, the driving control setting switching control executed by the
This routine is executed repeatedly at set intervals. When the routine starts, the
In the next step S102, the
When the process proceeds from step S102 to step S103, the
When the process proceeds from step S103 to step S104, the
On the other hand, when the process proceeds from step S102 to step S105, the
According to this embodiment, the
In other words, by having a second driving control setting that is applied to the competition road and performing driving assistance control according to this second driving control characteristic on the competition road, it is possible to suppress excessive control intervention that interferes with competition driving while retaining a minimum level of safety control. Conversely, by switching the driving control setting according to the type of road on which the vehicle is traveling and applying the second driving control setting only to driving assistance control on the competition road, it is possible to suppress the driver from driving recklessly on roads other than the competition road.
In this case, on a competition track, where the goal is to drive as fast as possible, center keeping control, which is one of the comfortable controls for driving in the center of the lane, can actually be an obstacle to driving, so by applying it only to tracks other than the competition track, it is possible to achieve the optimal course selection for high-speed driving, etc.
In addition, on competition tracks, instead of a target route along the center of the lane, an ideal route for high-speed driving is set, and steering control, etc. is performed along that ideal route, allowing the driver to experience taking the optimal course for high-speed driving, etc.
In addition, safety can be ensured by applying lane departure control, which is one type of safety control, to driving assistance control on all roads, including competition roads. In this case, by making the control characteristics (e.g., gain, etc.) different between the competition road and roads other than the competition road, and delaying the start timing of lane departure control on the competition road compared to the start timing of lane departure control on roads other than the competition road, it is possible to ensure safety on the competition road while suppressing excessive driving assistance.
In addition, emergency brake control, which is one type of safety control, can be applied to both competition tracks and non-competition tracks to effectively reduce the risk of collisions with obstacles and other three-dimensional objects.
Safety can also be ensured by applying deceleration control, which is one type of safety control, to driving assistance control on all roads, including competition roads. In this case, taking into consideration that curves are entered at higher speeds on competition roads than on roads other than competition roads, the allowable deceleration, the target vehicle speed when entering a curve, and the target deceleration are set to values greater than those on roads other than competition roads, thereby ensuring safety on competition roads while suppressing excessive driving assistance.
