Description

This invention relates to a mounting device for mounting vehicle interior components.

In a vehicle such as an automobile, an assist grip is detachably attached to a panel of the vehicle body by an attachment device that includes a U-shaped leaf spring clip and a cap with legs that are inserted between the opposing parallel parts of the clip (see, for example, Patent Document 1). The attachment device inserts the open end of the parallel part of the clip into an opening in a base that connects to the assist grip, and hooks the step on the parallel part onto the opening edge of the opening, assembling the clip to the base. Next, the tip of the clip bent into a U-shape is inserted into a mounting hole in the panel, and the anti-pullout claw on the clip is hooked onto the opening edge of the mounting hole. Then, by inserting the legs of the cap between the opposing parallel parts of the clip, the deformation of the parallel parts is restricted by the legs, and the clip is held hooked to the panel.

Patent No. 5477674

The thickness dimensions of vehicle body panels may vary depending on the vehicle model. The clip described above has a retaining claw set to fit panels of a specific thickness, and if the panel is thinner than the specific thickness, the gap between the retaining claw and the panel will be large. In this case, the clip will rattle against the panel and the assist grip will not be able to be firmly fixed. Also, if the panel is thicker than the specific thickness, the retaining claw will not hook properly onto the panel, and even in this case the assist grip will not be able to be firmly fixed to the panel.

The present invention has been proposed in consideration of the above problems associated with the conventional technology, and aims to provide a mounting device for vehicle interior components that can be used to mount objects with different plate thickness dimensions.

2 and 3, the assist grip 20 according to the first embodiment includes a grip body (vehicle interior member body) 22 and mounting devices 24 provided on each end of the grip body 22. As shown in Fig. 3, the assist grip 20 is mounted to a plate portion (mounting target) 10 of the vehicle body by the mounting device 24, sandwiching a wall material 14 constituting a wall surface of the vehicle interior. The assist grip 20 has the grip body 22 supported by a support shaft 26 relative to the mounting device 24, and the grip body 22 is displaced between a storage position (solid line in Fig. 3) in which the grip body 22 is arranged on the front side of the plate portion 10 and aligned with the wall material 14, and a usage position (two-dot chain line in Fig. 3) in which the grip body 22 stands up from the wall material 14.

In the following description, the direction in which the mounting holes 12 are formed in the plate portion 10 so as to penetrate the plate portion 10 in the thickness direction is referred to as the front-back direction, and the side facing the vehicle interior in the front-back direction is referred to as the front, and the side facing the outside of the vehicle is referred to as the back. The assist grip 20 refers to a direction based on the state of attachment to the plate portion 10, and the direction in which the two ends of the grip body 22, which are arranged at a distance from each other at the front and rear of the vehicle, are separated (the axial direction of the support shaft 26) in the assist grip 20 is referred to as the left-right direction, and refers to the left and right as viewed from the vehicle interior side. In the assist grip 20, the grip portion of the grip body 22 supported by the attachment device 24 with the support shaft 26 extending in the left-right direction is arranged above the attachment device 24 in the stored position, and the grip body 22 is displaced downward from the stored position to the usage position.

4 and 5, the mounting device 24 includes a base member 28 that supports the grip body 22 so that it can be displaced, and a mounting member 30 whose one end is fixed to the base member 28 and whose other end is attached to the mounting hole 12 provided in the plate portion 10. The mounting device 24 also includes a holding member 32 that is attached to the base member 28 and holds the mounting member 30 in an assembled state to the base member 28. A torsion spring 34 is incorporated between the mounting device 24 that supports the left end of the grip body 22 and the grip body 22 as a biasing means for biasing the grip body 22 toward the storage position. A damper 36 is incorporated between the mounting device 24 that supports the right end of the grip body 22 and the grip body 22 as a braking means for braking the positional displacement between the storage position and the use position. The configurations of the mounting devices 24 provided at the left and right ends of the grip body 22 are basically the same except for the difference between the biasing means 34 and the braking means 36 described above, so only one of them will be described below.

As shown in Figs. 6(a) and (b), the base member 28 comprises a cylindrical main body 38 having a retaining hole 40 penetrating in the front-back direction on the inside, and a pair of arms 42, 42 extending downward from the cylindrical main body 38. The pair of arms 42, 42 are provided at a distance from each other on the left and right, and each has an axle through hole 42a penetrating in the left-right direction. The base member 28 rotatably supports the grip body 22 via the support shaft 26 fitted into the axle through hole 42a. It is preferable that the base member 28 is a resin molded product made of a highly rigid resin material such as 6-nylon filled with glass fiber. As shown in Fig. 9, the base member 28 is placed on the front side of the plate portion 10 with the retaining hole 40 formed to penetrate in the front-back direction aligned with the mounting hole 12 penetrating the plate portion 10 in the front-back direction, and the back side of the cylindrical main body 38 is placed against the front side of the plate portion 10.

As shown in Figs. 6(a) and (b), the base member 28 has a retaining hole 40 formed in a substantially rectangular opening shape that is long in the left-right direction. The base member 28 has retaining protrusions 44 protruding from each of the upper and lower opposing wall surfaces (one opposing wall surface of the retaining hole 40) of the retaining hole 40. The upper and lower retaining protrusions 44, 44 are arranged opposite each other in the center of the retaining hole 40 in the left-right direction. The retaining protrusions 44 are formed in a quadrangular prism shape, and it is preferable to form them in a tapered shape in which the dimension in the front-back direction increases as the tip of the retaining protrusion 44 moves toward the base side (see Fig. 6(c)). The retaining protrusions 44 are formed such that at least one of the wall surface facing the front side and the wall surface facing the back side is inclined so as to intersect with the front-back direction. In the cylindrical main body 38, the upper and lower retaining protrusions 44 are provided in a symmetrical relationship with respect to the retaining hole 40.

As shown in FIG. 12, the base member 28 has a retaining portion 48 protruding from each of the opposing left and right wall surfaces of the retaining hole 40 (wall surfaces perpendicular to the wall surface on which the retaining protrusion 44 is provided in the retaining hole 40). The retaining portion 48 is located at the rear opening edge of the retaining hole 40 and is disposed in the vertical center of the retaining hole 40. In the cylindrical main body 38, the retaining portion 48 is provided in a symmetrical relationship on both sides of the retaining hole 40.

As shown in FIG. 7, the mounting member 30 has a pair of mounting pieces 52, 52 arranged opposite each other above and below, and one end (rear end) of both mounting pieces 52, 52 is connected to form an approximately U-shape in side view. The mounting member 30 is configured to be elastically deformable so that both mounting pieces 52, 52 approach each other relatively, with the connecting end where both mounting pieces 52, 52 are connected as a fulcrum, and the distance between both mounting pieces 52, 52 can be reduced by operating the end on the open end side (open end (other end)) (two-dot chain line in FIG. 6(c)). The mounting member 30 is assembled to the base member 28 by arranging (storing) the open end sides of both mounting pieces 52, 52 whose one ends (connecting ends) are connected in the retaining hole 40, and at this time, the connecting end sides of both mounting pieces 52, 52 protrude to the rear side from the rear opening of the retaining hole 40 (see FIG. 9). The mounting member 30 is attached to the plate portion 10 by inserting the connecting ends of both mounting pieces 52, 52 protruding from the rear side of the cylindrical body 38 into the mounting holes 12 from the front side. Each part of the mounting member 30 is formed by bending a single metal plate that has been punched into a predetermined shape.

As shown in FIG. 10(a), the mounting member 30 is set so that the distance between a pair of opposing mounting pieces 52, 52 is greater than the distance between the opposing retaining protrusions 44, 44 in a natural state where no external force is applied. The mounting member 30 can make the distance smaller than the distance between the opposing retaining protrusions 44, 44 by bringing the mounting pieces 52, 52 closer together (see the two-dot chain line in FIG. 6(c)). The mounting member 30 is set so that the left and right width of each mounting piece 52 is the same or approximately the same as the left and right width of the retaining hole 40, and when the mounting pieces 52 are inserted into the retaining hole 40, they are positioned by hitting the left and right wall surfaces of the retaining hole 40.

9, the mounting piece 52 has a retaining opening 54 provided on the open end side of the mounting piece 52 and capable of receiving the retaining protrusion 44 provided in the retaining hole 40 of the base member 28. The retaining opening 54 has a substantially rectangular opening shape that matches the external shape of the retaining protrusion 44 and is formed so as to penetrate the mounting piece 52 from top to bottom. More specifically, the retaining opening 54 has an opening dimension in the front-back direction that is larger than the front-back dimension of the tip of the retaining protrusion 44, and has an opening dimension in the front-back direction that matches the middle part of the retaining protrusion 44. When the retaining opening 54 is fitted into the retaining protrusion 44, the mounting member 30 is positioned relative to the base member 28 and movement in the front-back direction is restricted. The mounting member 30 is attached to the base member 28 in such a way that its relative position in the front-to-back direction does not change, even when the plate portion 10 has a first plate thickness (e.g., 1.0 mm) (see FIG. 11) or when the plate portion 10 has a second plate thickness (e.g., 1.6 mm) that is thicker than the first plate thickness (see FIG. 10).

As shown in FIG. 7, the mounting member 30 has a restricting piece 56 that is branched from the mounting piece 52 and can elastically deform in the outward and inward directions in the opposing direction of the two mounting pieces 52, 52. Unless otherwise specified, the outward direction refers to the direction in which one mounting piece 52 moves away from the other mounting piece 52 in the opposing direction (upward and downward direction) of the two mounting pieces 52, 52, and the inward direction refers to the direction in which one mounting piece 52 moves closer to the other mounting piece 52 in the opposing direction (upward and downward direction) of the two mounting pieces 52, 52. The restricting piece 56 has a hook portion 56a whose root portion is connected to the mounting piece 52 and extends away from the other mounting piece 52 as it moves from the connecting end side (back side) of the mounting piece 52 toward the open end side (front side) (see FIG. 7(b)). The hook portion 56a is provided in the center of the mounting piece 52 in the left-right direction. The hook portion 56a is provided on the connecting end side of the mounting piece 52 and extends obliquely so as to overhang outward from the mounting piece 52. The upper and lower hook portions 56a, 56a extend away from each other as they move from the back side to the front side, and the distance between the tips of the upper and lower hook portions 56a, 56a is set to be larger than the vertical dimension of the mounting hole 12 (see FIG. 9). The hook portion 56a is elastically deformable in the vertical direction (the opposing direction of both mounting pieces 52, 52) with its base connected to the connecting end side of the mounting piece 52 as a fulcrum. The upper and lower hook portions 56a, 56a pass through the mounting hole 12 by displacing relatively closer to each other (see FIG. 10(b)), and after passing through the mounting hole 12, they elastically return to their original position so that their tips face the opening edge of the mounting hole 12 and are positioned on the back side of the plate portion 10 (see FIG. 10(c) and FIG. 11(a)). When the hook portion 56a is attached to the plate portion 10, the tip that faces the front side faces the back side of the plate portion 10 with a small clearance (see Figure 9).

7, the restricting piece 56 is provided at the tip of the hook portion 56a, branching off from the hook portion 56a, and has an engaging portion 56b that extends so as to inwardly incline from the back side to the front side. The engaging portion 56b extends obliquely from the outside to the inside of the opening of the mounting hole 12, and is adapted to abut against the back opening edge of the mounting hole 12 when the mounting member 30 is attached to the plate portion 10 (see FIG. 9). Here, when the base member 28 is applied to the surface of the plate portion 10, one or both of the hook portion 56a and the engaging portion 56b are displaced depending on the thickness of the plate portion 10, and the engaging portion 56b abuts against the back opening edge of the mounting hole 12 (see FIG. 10(c) and (d) and FIG. 11). In other words, the restricting piece 56 is set so that the engaging portion 56b abuts against the rear opening edge of the mounting hole 12 when the plate portion 10 has a thin first plate thickness (see FIG. 11), and when the plate portion 10 has a thick second plate thickness (see FIG. 10), the engaging portion 56b displaces inward from the first plate thickness to absorb the difference in plate thickness of the plate portion 10. In this way, the engaging portion 56b can abut against the rear opening edge of the mounting hole 12 even if the plate thickness dimension setting of the plate portion 10 changes. When the mounting member 30 is attached to the plate portion 10, the engaging portion 56b is hooked on the rear opening edge of the mounting hole 12 to restrict movement toward the front side, and when a stronger force is applied, the tip of the hook portion 56a is hooked on the plate portion 10 to prevent it from coming off.

As shown in FIG. 7, the regulating piece 56 has an extension 56c that is connected to the engaging portion 56b and extends from the engaging portion 56b. The extension 56c has a receiving portion 57 at its tip that abuts against a support portion 66 of the retaining member 32, which will be described later. The extension 56c is displaced outward when the receiving portion 57, which is located inward from the engaging portion 56b, abuts against the support portion 66 (see FIG. 9, FIG. 10(d) and FIG. 11(b)). The regulating piece 56 is bent between the engaging portion 56b and the extension 56c, and is formed so that the extension 56c is inclined inward as it extends from the engaging portion 56b. The extension 56c is formed so as to extend from the engaging portion 56b toward the front side, and extends at an angle closer to the front-rear direction than the engaging portion 56b. The restricting piece 56 is configured such that the bent portion between the engaging portion 56b and the extending portion 56c and/or the extending portion 56c itself is elastically deformable, and the engaging portion 56b is biased outward as the extending portion 56c is displaced outward. In addition, the restricting piece 56 is displaced inward as the hooking portion 56a and the engaging portion 56b are displaced inward. When the engaging portion 56b is displaced inwardly, the extending portion 56c is displaced outwardly due to the contact between the receiving portion 57 and the supporting portion 66. When the engaging portion 56b is displaced inwardly, the extending portion 56c is displaced outwardly due to the contact between the receiving portion 57 and the supporting portion 66. When the engaging portion 56b is displaced inwardly, the extending portion 56c is displaced outwardly due to the contact between the receiving portion 57 and the supporting portion 66. In this way, the restricting piece 56 can accommodate different thickness settings of the plate portion 10 by displacing the engaging portion 56b and the extending portion 56c. As shown in FIG. 10(b), the mounting member 30 is configured such that when the mounting pieces 52, 52 and the restricting pieces 56, 56 are in a position where the hook portion 56a can pass through the mounting hole 12, the receiving portions 57, 57 of the opposing restricting pieces 56, 56 are spaced apart such that the support portion 66 of the holding member 32 cannot be inserted.

As shown in FIG. 8, the retaining member 32 has an insertion portion 62 that is inserted between the upper and lower mounting pieces 52, 52 of the mounting member 30, and a covering portion 64 that covers the front opening of the retaining hole 40 in the base member 28. The retaining member 32 has two insertion portions 62 spaced apart on the left and right sides that extend from the back surface of the covering portion 64 toward the back surface, and a support portion 66 that extends from the back surface of the covering portion 64 toward the back surface is provided between the pair of insertion portions 62, 62. Note that the retaining member 32 in this embodiment is a resin molded product made of polypropylene (PP) or the like.

As shown in FIG. 9, the retaining member 32 inserts the insertion portion 62 between the opposing mounting pieces 52, 52, and supports the left and right edge portions of the mounting piece 52 from the inside with the left and right insertion portions 62, 62. The support portion 66 is provided between the left and right insertion portions 62, 62, and is formed to have a smaller vertical dimension than the insertion portion 62 and a smaller protruding dimension from the covering portion 64. In the initial stage of inserting the support portion 66 between the two mounting pieces 52, 52 of the mounting member 30 fixed to the base member 28, the support portion 66 does not overlap the restricting piece 56, and allows the restricting piece 56 to deform inwardly as it passes through the mounting hole 12. In the insertion position of the mounting member 30 in which the hook portion 56a can pass through the mounting hole 12, the support portion 66 is formed so that the vertical dimension of the end portion (tip portion) facing the connecting end side of the two mounting pieces 52, 52 is larger than the distance between the receiving portions 57 of the restricting pieces 56 that are close to each other. As a result, in the insertion posture of the mounting member 30, the holding member 32 can press the mounting member 30 toward the back side by abutting the support portion 66 against the tips of the upper and lower extension portions 56c, 56c. When the support portion 66 is inserted between the mounting pieces 52, 52 of the mounting member 30 to mount the holding member 32 to the base member 28, the support portion 66 is inserted between the upper and lower extension portions 56c, 56c and abuts against the receiving portion 57 of the extension portion 56c so as to push it outward. The support portion 66 supports the restricting piece 56 (extension portion 56c) so as to restrict the inward displacement of the restricting piece 56 under abutment with the receiving portion 57. The tip portion of the support portion 66 is provided with guide surfaces 66a on both the upper and lower faces, which are inclined outward as they move from the back side to the front side, and the guide surfaces 66a guide the receiving portion 57 of the restricting piece 56 when the holding member 32 is mounted to the base member 28. In this way, the support part 66 has a tapered shape that becomes thinner at the tip.

8, the retaining member 32 has a crushing rib 68 that interferes with the inner surface of the retaining hole 40 in the base member 28 before the support portion 66 inserted between the mounting pieces 52, 52 and the receiving portion 57 of the regulating piece 56 come into contact, and is crushed when the retaining member 32 is attached to the base member 28. The crushing rib 68 is a thin-walled protrusion that rises from the support portion 66 and is arranged so as to extend in the front-back direction at the center of the left-right direction of the upper and lower surfaces of the support portion 66. The crushing rib 68 in the first embodiment is formed to a size that interferes with the tip surface of the retaining protrusion 44. The retaining member 32 can be held in a state in the middle of being attached to the base member 28 due to the interference between the crushing rib 68 and the retaining protrusion 44.

8 and 12, the retaining member 32 is provided with positioning portions 70 that are formed to protrude in the left-right direction from the outer surface of each insertion portion 62 and come into contact with the left and right wall surfaces of the retaining hole 40 when the retaining member 32 is attached to the base member 28. The positioning portions 70 provided on the left and right insertion portions 62, 62 are formed to protrude rightward from the right surface in the case of the right insertion portion 62, and are formed to protrude leftward from the left surface in the case of the left insertion portion 62, protruding in opposite directions. The distance between the tips of the left and right positioning portions 70, 70 of the retaining member 32 is set to be the same or approximately the same as the left and right opening dimensions of the retaining hole 40. The positioning portions 70 are arranged on the cover portion 64 side of the insertion portion 62.

8 and 12, the retaining member 32 is provided with a retaining portion 72 located at the tip side of the insertion portion 62 and formed to protrude in the left-right direction from the outer surface of the insertion portion 62. The retaining portion 72 provided on the left and right insertion portions 62, 62 is formed to protrude rightward from the right surface if it is the right insertion portion 62, and is formed to protrude leftward from the left surface if it is the left insertion portion 62, so that they protrude in opposite directions. When the retaining member 32 is inserted into the retaining hole 40 and assembled to the base member 28, the retaining portion 72 is hooked on the retaining portion 48 provided in the retaining hole 40, and the movement of the retaining member 32 toward the front side relative to the base member 28 is restricted. When the retaining member 32 is assembled to the base member 28, the covering portion 64 abuts against the opening edge on the front side of the retaining hole 40, and the retaining portion 72 is hooked on the retaining portion 48, so that the retaining member 32 is not displaced relatively in the front-back direction.

Next, the assembly of the mounting device 24 according to this embodiment will be described. First, the open ends of both mounting pieces 52, 52 of the mounting member 30 are inserted from the rear opening of the retaining hole 40 of the base member 28. The open ends of both mounting pieces 52, 52 are deformed so as to approach each other, and the open ends are inserted between the upper and lower retaining protrusions 44, 44, and the mounting member 30 is pushed to the front side. When the retaining protrusions 44 are aligned with the retaining openings 54, the elastically deformed mounting pieces 52 return to their original shape, and the retaining protrusions 44 fit into the retaining openings 54, and the mounting member 30 is fixed to the base member 28 (see FIG. 6(c)).

Next, the insertion portion 62 of the retaining member 32 is inserted partway between the mounting pieces 52, 52 from the front opening of the retaining hole 40 of the base member 28, and is placed in a temporarily fixed state (see FIG. 10(a)). With the retaining member 32 in a temporarily fixed state, the mounting member 30 is inserted into the mounting hole 12 of the plate portion 10. The restricting piece 56 provided on the mounting piece 52 comes into contact with the edge of the opening of the mounting hole 12 and is guided by the inclination of the hook portion 56a and displaces inward (see FIG. 10(b)). As the upper and lower restricting pieces 56, 56 are displaced inward, the gap between the upper and lower receiving portions 57, 57 becomes narrower than the support portion 66, and it becomes possible to push the mounting member 30 to the back side via the retaining member 32. When the mounting member 30 is inserted until the hook portion 56a passes through the mounting hole 12, the elastically deformed restricting piece 56 returns to its original shape, and the gap between the upper and lower receiving portions 57, 57 opens enough to receive the support portion 66 (see Figures 10(c) and 11(a)).

Next, the retaining member 32, which has been temporarily fixed to the base member 28, is further pushed toward the back side. As a result, the support portion 66 is inserted between the upper and lower receiving portions 57, 57 of the mounting member 30 (see Figs. 10(d) and 11(b)), and the restricting piece 56 is biased outward. Then, the inserting portion 62 is inserted into the retaining hole 40 until the removal prevention portion 72 provided on the inserting portion 62 overcomes the removal prevention receiving portion 48 provided on the back side opening edge of the retaining hole 40 in the base member 28, and the covering portion 64 of the retaining member 32 closes the front side opening of the retaining hole 40 (see Figs. 10(d) and 11(b)). The mounting device 24 restricts the retaining member 32 from coming off the base member 28 by the removal prevention portion 72 being caught on the removal prevention receiving portion 48, and the retaining hole 40 is closed by the covering portion 64, so that the mounting piece 52 of the mounting member 30 cannot be operated from the front side. In addition, by inserting the insertion portion 62, which is larger than the distance between the mounting pieces 52, 52, between the mounting pieces 52, 52, the mounting piece 52 is pushed toward the wall surface of the retaining hole 40, and the retaining opening 54 becomes caught on the base side of the retaining protrusion 44.

In the mounting device 24, the mounting member 30 is fixed to the base member 28 that is placed against the surface of the plate portion 10, but the engaging portion 56b that hits the back opening edge of the mounting hole 12 is displaced according to the plate thickness of the plate portion 10, so that the plate portion 10 can be sandwiched between the base member 28 and the engaging portion 56b even if the plate portion 10 has a plate thickness with different dimensions. The gap between the tip of the hook portion 56a and the back surface of the plate portion 10 becomes larger as the plate portion 10 becomes thinner, but even if the plate portion 10 has a plate thickness with different dimensions, the engaging portion 56b hits the back opening edge of the mounting hole 12, so rattling due to the difference in plate thickness of the plate portion 10 can be prevented. When the mounting device 24 is pulled toward the front side, a force is applied to displace the engaging portion 56b inward. In the mounting device 24, the extension 56c connected to the engaging portion 56b is restricted from inward displacement by the support portion 66 of the retaining member 32, so that the engaging portion 56b is kept hooked on the rear opening edge of the mounting hole 12, preventing rattling when pulled toward the front side. Furthermore, when a very strong force is applied to the front side, the tip of the hook portion 56a hooks on the rear side of the plate portion 10 to prevent it from coming loose, so the mounting device 24 has excellent load resistance.

The mounting device 24 absorbs the difference in thickness of the plate portion 10 by displacing the engaging portion 56b inward as the plate portion 10 becomes thicker. Here, the restricting piece 56 displaces the extension portion 56c due to the abutment between the receiving portion 57 and the support portion 66, so that the restriction piece 56 can absorb the displacement of the engaging portion 56b according to the plate portion 10 thickness described above. Moreover, as the extension portion 56c is pushed outward due to the abutment between the receiving portion 57 and the support portion 66, the engaging portion 56b is pressed against the back opening edge of the mounting hole 12. In addition, the hook portion 56a is biased outward, making it difficult for the mounting member 30 to come loose.

According to the above-mentioned mounting device 24, it is not necessary to prepare multiple configurations of the base member 28, mounting member 30, and holding member 32 for each plate thickness of the plate portion 10, and a single configuration of the base member 28, mounting member 30, and holding member 32 can be used to accommodate plate portions 10 with different plate thickness dimensions. This makes it possible to avoid combining parts corresponding to different plate thicknesses, facilitating parts management, and enabling cost reduction through the standardization of parts. In addition, the mounting device 24 can be shared between vehicles of different vehicle types. By configuring the engaging portion 56b to be supported by the support portion 66 via the extension portion 56c, it is no longer necessary to ensure rigidity with the plate thickness of the regulating piece 56, and the plate thickness of the mounting member 30 can be made thin. This makes it possible to reduce the insertion load when inserting the mounting member 30 from the connecting end side into the mounting hole 12, making it easier to install the assist grip 20.

The restricting piece 56 has a bent portion between the engaging portion 56b and the extending portion 56c, so when the receiving portion 57 hits the supporting portion 66, the bent portion is deformed, displacing the extending portion 56c. In this way, by providing a bent portion that makes it easier for deformation to occur in the restricting piece 56, the extending portion 56c can be displaced stably. In addition, the load when inserting the supporting portion 66 between the upper and lower extending portions 56c, 56c can be reduced. Since the extending portion 56c of the restricting piece 56 extends from the engaging portion 56b toward the front side, the stroke when inserting the supporting portion 66 between the upper and lower extending portions 56c, 56c can be shortened.

When the mounting member 30 is in a position where both the restricting pieces 56, 56 are close to each other and can pass through the mounting hole 12, the gap between the receiving parts 57, 57 of the opposing restricting pieces 56, 56 is such that the support part 66 cannot be inserted. This prevents the support part 66 from entering between the upper and lower receiving parts 57, 57 and hindering the inward displacement of the upper and lower restricting pieces 56, 56 when the mounting device 24 is attached to the plate part 10, and allows the mounting member 30 to be smoothly inserted into the mounting hole 12. In addition, by pressing the holding member 32, the support part 66 can be pressed against the upper and lower extension parts 56c, 56c to press the mounting member 30, making it easier to attach the mounting device 24 to the plate part 10. Moreover, the mounting device 24 can perform the process from fitting the mounting member 30 into the mounting hole 12 to assembling the holding member 32 to the base member 28 in one action just by pressing the holding member 32.

The support portion 66 has upper and lower guide surfaces 66a at the tip facing the connecting ends of both mounting pieces 52, 52 that incline outward as they go from the back side to the front side, and the tip of the support portion 66 has a tapered shape. This allows the support portion 66 to be smoothly inserted between the upper and lower extensions 56c, 56c. In addition, the extension 56c can be guided to displace outward when it comes into contact with the receiving portion 57, and the repulsion of the regulating piece 56 deformed at the bent portion can urge the engagement portion 56b and the hook portion 56a outward.

The mounting device 24 is positioned relative to the plate portion 10 when the base member 28 abuts against the surface of the plate portion 10. The mounting member 30 is restricted from moving in the front-back direction by fitting the holding opening 54 provided on the open end side of the mounting piece 52 into the holding protrusion 44 formed to protrude inward from the opposing wall surface of the holding hole 40 in the base member 28. If the mounting member 30 shifts in the front-back direction, the engaging portion 56b may not abut the rear opening edge of the mounting hole 12, or the hook portion 56a may get caught in the mounting hole 12, resulting in poor engagement. The mounting device 24 has a shape in which the dimensions of the holding protrusion 44 in the front-back direction increase as it moves from the tip side of the holding protrusion 44 toward the base side, so that the holding opening 54 fits into the holding protrusion 44 at a position according to its own opening dimension, and the mounting member 30 can be restricted from moving in the front-back direction without rattling. This prevents the aforementioned engagement failure with the plate portion 10, and allows the mounting device 24 to be attached to the plate portion 10 without rattling. In addition, because the tip of the holding protrusion 44 is smaller than the holding opening 54, it is easy to fit the holding opening 54 into the holding protrusion 44, improving the ease of assembly.

The holding member 32 has a crushing rib 68 that interferes with the inner surface of the holding hole 40 in the base member 28 before the support portion 66 inserted between the two mounting pieces 52, 52 and the receiving portion 57 of the regulating piece 56 come into contact, and is crushed when the holding member 32 is attached to the base member 28. In a temporary fixing state in which the holding member 32 is inserted halfway into the holding hole 40 of the base member 28, the crushing rib 68 interferes with the inner surface of the holding hole 40, so that this state can be maintained. In other words, it is possible to make it easier to handle before the installation work on the plate part 10, such as assembling it up to the temporary fixing state and transporting it. Then, when the holding member 32 is attached to the base member 28, the crushed crushing rib 68 is pressed against the inner surface of the holding hole 40, so that the holding member 32 can be fixed to the base member 28 without rattling.

Second Embodiment
The mounting device 24 of the second embodiment will be described with reference to Figures 13 to 15. In the following description, the same components as those in the first embodiment are denoted by the same reference numerals as those in the first embodiment.

13, the restricting piece 56 is provided at the tip of the hook portion 56a, branching off from the hook portion 56a, and has an engaging portion 56b that extends inwardly as it goes from the back side to the front side. The engaging portion 56b extends obliquely from the outside to the inside of the opening of the mounting hole 12, and is adapted to abut against the back opening edge of the mounting hole 12 when the mounting member 30 is attached to the plate portion 10 (see Figs. 14(c) and (d) and Fig. 15). Here, when the base member 28 is applied to the surface of the plate portion 10, one or both of the hook portion 56a and the engaging portion 56b elastically deform, and the engaging portion 56b is displaced according to the thickness of the plate portion 10 and abuts against the back opening edge of the mounting hole 12. In other words, the restricting piece 56 is set so that when the plate portion 10 has a first thickness, the engaging portion 56b abuts against the rear opening edge of the mounting hole 12 (see FIG. 15(a)), and when the plate portion 10 has a second thickness, the engaging portion 56b is displaced inward from the first thickness to absorb the difference in plate thickness of the plate portion 10 (see FIG. 14(c)). In this way, the engaging portion 56b can abut against the rear opening edge of the mounting hole 12 even if the thickness dimension setting of the plate portion 10 changes. When the mounting member 30 is attached to the plate portion 10, the engaging portion 56b is hooked on the rear opening edge of the mounting hole 12 to restrict movement toward the front side, and when a stronger force is applied, the tip of the hooking portion 56a is hooked on the plate portion 10 to prevent it from coming off.

As shown in FIG. 13(b), the restricting piece 56 has an extension 56c that is connected to the engaging portion 56b and extends from the engaging portion 56b. The extension 56c has a receiving portion 57 at its tip that abuts against the support portion 66 of the holding member 32, and is displaced outward when the receiving portion 57, located inward from the engaging portion 56b, abuts against the support portion 66 (see FIG. 14(d) and FIG. 15(b)). The restricting piece 56 is bent between the engaging portion 56b and the extension 56c, and is formed so that the extension 56c is inclined inward as it extends from the engaging portion 56b. The extension 56c is formed so that it folds back from the engaging portion 56b toward the back side and extends to the back side, and extends at an angle closer to the front-back direction than the engaging portion 56b. The restricting piece 56 is configured such that the bent portion between the engaging portion 56b and the extending portion 56c and/or the extending portion 56c is elastically deformable, and the engaging portion 56b is biased outward as the extending portion 56c is displaced outward. In addition, the restricting piece 56 is displaced inward as the hooking portion 56a and the engaging portion 56b are displaced inward. When the engaging portion 56b is displaced inwardly, the extending portion 56c is displaced outwardly due to the contact between the receiving portion 57 and the support portion 66. When the engaging portion 56b is displaced inwardly, the extending portion 56c is displaced outwardly due to the contact between the receiving portion 57 and the support portion 66. When the engaging portion 56b is displaced inwardly, the extending portion 56c is displaced outwardly due to the contact between the receiving portion 57 and the support portion 66. In this way, the restricting piece 56 can accommodate different thickness settings of the plate portion 10 by displacing the engaging portion 56b and the extending portion 56c. As shown in FIG. 14(b), the mounting member 30 is configured such that when the two restricting pieces 56, 56 approach each other and the hook portion 56a can pass through the mounting hole 12, the gap between the receiving portions 57, 57 of the opposing restricting pieces 56, 56 is such that the support portion 66 of the holding member 32 cannot be inserted. The support portion 66 of the second embodiment has a larger protruding dimension from the covering portion 64 than the first embodiment, corresponding to the extension portion 56c extending toward the back side.

The mounting device 24 of the second embodiment has the same effect as the first embodiment. In the second embodiment, the extension 56c of the restricting piece 56 is formed by folding back from the engaging portion 56b, so the distance from the receiving portion 57 to the base of the hook portion 56a where it connects to the mounting piece 52 is reduced, and the displacement tolerance of the extension 56c can be increased. This allows the force with which the engaging portion 56b presses the opening edge of the mounting hole 12 of the plate portion 10 when the support portion 66 of the retaining member 32 is inserted into the upper and lower receiving portions 57, 57 to be set large.

(Example of change)
The configuration is not limited to the above, and may be, for example, as follows.
(1) In the above embodiment, an assist grip is given as an example of a vehicle interior member, but the present invention can also be applied to mounting devices used for mounting sun visors, room lamps, etc.
(2) The crushing rib is not limited to being provided on the support portion. For example, the crushing rib may be provided on the surface (upper or lower surface) facing the mounting piece in the insertion portion, or on the surface (left or right surface) on which the anti-pullout portion is provided in the insertion portion, as in the retaining member of the modified example shown in Figure 16.
(3) In the above embodiment, the extension 56c of the mounting member 30 is formed to be inclined inward as it extends from the engaging portion 56b, but this is not limited thereto. For example, as in the modified example of the mounting member 30 shown in Fig. 17, the receiving portion 57 may be formed in a convex shape that bulges inward at the tip of the extension 56c, so that the receiving portion 57 is disposed inward from the engaging portion 56b, and the extension 56c may extend parallel to the front-back direction. Also, as in the mounting member 30 of the second embodiment shown in Fig. 13(b), the receiving portion 57 may be formed in a convex shape that bulges inward at the tip of the extension 56c, so that the inward inclination of the extension 56c with respect to the front-back direction can be set to be gentler than that of the mounting member 30 of the first embodiment shown in Fig. 7(b).
