Description

The present invention relates to a sheet deployment device for disaster prevention equipment that suppresses and extinguishes fires that occur in large spaces such as warehouses.

Conventionally, disaster prevention equipment for suppressing and extinguishing fires that break out in monitored areas includes a fire alarm system (Patent Document 1) that closes metal fire shutters in response to a fire detector detecting a fire, forming a fire compartment to suppress the spread of the fire, and a sprinkler fire extinguishing system (Patent Document 2) that receives hot air currents from a fire and opens a sprinkler head to spray water to suppress and extinguish the fire.

A disaster prevention curtain fire extinguishing system for mechanical parking lots is also known (Patent Document 3). This disaster prevention curtain fire extinguishing system is provided with multiple parking stages with parking areas for vehicles in the mechanical parking lot, disaster prevention curtains are provided on the front and both sides of the ceiling of each parking area, and when a fire in a parking area is detected by a fire detector, the disaster prevention curtains descend to seal off the front and both sides, and extinguish the fire by spraying extinguishing gas from a fire extinguishing nozzle.

In addition, conventional disaster prevention curtains are driven down by a motor and then rolled up by a motor once the fire has been extinguished.

However, such conventional disaster prevention equipment had problems when applied to facilities with large spaces such as warehouses.

For example, metal fire shutters do not have sufficient heat insulation, and the equipment structure is large, so repairs after a fire are not easy.

Conventionally, protected areas have been created over a relatively large area in accordance with the layout of rooms and floors, but in large warehouses and the like, due to the structural characteristics of constructing a large space and the logistical characteristics of storing and retrieving materials on racks and other equipment placed within the warehouse, it is not realistic to create detailed fire compartments using conventional fire shutters.

In addition, in buildings with high ceilings, such as warehouses, water used for fire extinguishing using sprinkler fire extinguishing equipment will splash as it falls, reducing the amount of water sprayed per unit area and resulting in low water spray efficiency, while at the same time spraying water over a wide area, causing extensive water damage.

In addition, while conventional disaster prevention curtain fire extinguishing systems are no problem when the area to be extinguished is a compartment structure that is divided into upper, lower, left and right sections by a support structure, such as the parking section of a mechanical parking lot, it is difficult to apply them to large spaces that do not have a partition structure, such as warehouses.

Furthermore, in a large space such as a warehouse, even if there is a partition structure, a disaster prevention curtain needs to be lowered from a height of more than 10 meters to seal off the target area, and if the curtain is lowered by a motor, it takes time for the curtain to descend completely, during which time the fire can spread, creating the problem that it is not possible to sufficiently suppress and extinguish the fire.

The present invention aims to provide a sheet deployment device for disaster prevention equipment that can reliably suppress and extinguish fires in facilities such as warehouses that have high ceilings and large structural spaces.

The present invention is characterized by comprising:

(Basic Effects)
The present invention is a sheet deployment device for disaster prevention equipment that suppresses and extinguishes a fire in a protected space, comprising: a partition sheet made of a cloth-like material having fire retardancy, fire resistance, heat resistance or smoke insulation; main body means that is installed at a predetermined position on the upper side of the protected space and has one end side of the partition sheet fixed thereto; holding means having one end fixed to the main body means and having a holding part that holds the partition sheet, including the other end side of the partition sheet, in an undeployed state on the main body means side under normal circumstances; and deployment means that, in the event of a fire in the protected space, heats the holding means to melt and cut off the holding part, thereby releasing the hold of the partition sheet and allowing the other end side of the partition sheet to fall downward, and deploys the partition sheet in an deployed state so as to partition any target section including the location of the fire in the protected space. Therefore, when a fire breaks out in a large protected space such as a warehouse, a partition section is formed within the protected space by deploying the partition sheet to separate the target section including the location of the fire from the surrounding area, and the effects of preventing the fire from spreading and the smoke from spreading due to the flame, smoke and heat insulation can be expected.

The present invention is also a sheet deployment device for disaster prevention equipment that suppresses and extinguishes fires in a protected space, comprising a partition sheet made of a fabric-like material having fireproofing, fire resistance, heat resistance, or smokeproofing properties, a main body means that is installed at a predetermined position in the protected space and has one end of the partition sheet fixed thereto, a holding means made of resin tape that passes under the partition sheet in a non-deployed state and has both ends fixed to the main body means, and a deployment means that, in the event of a fire in the protected space, melts the holding means by applying electrical heat from a heater arranged at a position across the holding means, causing the other end of the partition sheet to fall, and deploys the partition sheet to a deployed state so as to partition any target compartment including the location of the fire in the protected space. Therefore, by spraying extinguishing water or extinguishing foam or other extinguishing agent into the partition compartment separated by the deployment of the partition sheet, the sprayed extinguishing agent does not spread to the surroundings, and it is possible to spray it in a concentrated manner at the location of the fire, thereby reliably suppressing and extinguishing the fire, improving fire extinguishing efficiency, suppressing and preventing the spread of the extinguishing agent to the surroundings, and minimizing water damage, etc.

(Effect of the partition sheet holding state)
In addition, since the holding means holds the partition sheet in a rolled up state or folded accordion-like state on the main body means, the sheet deployment device is placed on the ceiling side of a protected space with a large spatial area, such as a warehouse, but since the partition sheet is normally held compactly, less installation space is required in the protected space.

In addition, in the event of a fire, by releasing one end of the partition sheet, which is held in a rolled or accordion-like state, the sheet can fall reliably under its own weight and deploy reliably up and down. Compared to conventional disaster prevention curtains that deploy using motor drive, the sheet can be deployed quickly and in a short time to deal with a fire, even when the deployed height of the partition sheet exceeds 10 meters, such as in a warehouse. It can be deployed without the need for complicated devices or controls.

(Effect of the length of the partition sheet)
In addition, the partition sheet has a sheet length that is longer than the installation height of the main body means. With conventional steel fire shutters, if there is an obstacle on the floor, the shutter will not descend to the floor, creating a gap that reduces fire extinguishing and fire spread prevention. However, since the partition sheet is in a cloth state and is flexible, measuring it to be longer can prevent gaps from occurring, thereby reducing the degree to which fire extinguishing and fire spread prevention are reduced.

(Effect of spraying coolant on the seat)
In addition, a coolant spraying means is provided for spraying a coolant on the partition sheet deployed by the deployment means, and the coolant spraying means sprays the coolant on one or both sides of the partition sheet deployed by the deployment means. Furthermore, the coolant spraying means sprays cooling water as a coolant, so that the partition sheet is wetted by spraying the cooling water with the spraying means, thereby further improving the fireproofing, smokeproofing, and heatproofing properties of the partition sheet. In addition, the cooling water spraying means sprays cooling water on one or both sides of the partition sheet as necessary, so that, for example, fire-extinguishing foam is sprayed on the fire outbreak side of the partition sheet, and in this case, by spraying cooling water on the outer sheet surface opposite to the fire outbreak side, the fire-extinguishing foam sprayed on the inside of the sheet is not lost by the spraying of cooling water, and the fireproofing, smokeproofing, and heatproofing properties of the partition sheet against fire can be improved by spraying cooling water on the outer sheet surface. Note that here, the side facing the center of the target compartment is the inside, and the opposite side is the outside.

[Basic Concept of the Embodiment]
The sheet deployment device 10 of the present embodiment is installed to suppress and extinguish a fire that breaks out in a space such as a warehouse, and has a partition sheet 14, which is a partition means made of a cloth-like material having fireproofing, fire resistance, heat resistance, or smoke insulation properties, and one end of the partition sheet 14 is fixed to an apparatus main body 12, which is a main body means fixed to a predetermined position such as the ceiling side of a protected space, by a fixing member 15, which is a fixing means, and the partition sheet 14 is held in an undeployed state in which it is wound into a roll or folded into an accordion-like shape by a holding member 16, which is a holding means, and in the event of a fire in the protected space, the partition sheet 14 is released from its hold by a latch release operating unit 18, which is a deployment means, to drop the other end side, and the partition sheet 14 is deployed to partition any target section including the location of the fire in the protected space. Therefore, when a fire breaks out in the protected space, the partition sheet 14 is deployed to separate the target section including the location of the fire from the surrounding area, thereby forming a partition section within the protected space, and the effects of preventing the fire from spreading and the smoke from spreading can be expected by blocking flames, smoke, and heat.

In addition, by spraying fire extinguishing water or fire extinguishing foam or other fire extinguishing agent into the partitioned compartment separated by the deployment of the partition sheet 14, the sprayed fire extinguishing agent is prevented from scattering to the surrounding area, allowing for concentrated spraying at the location where the fire started, ensuring that the fire is contained and extinguished. Also, the spraying of fire extinguishing agent to the surrounding area is suppressed and prevented, minimizing water damage, etc.

In addition, by spraying coolant from the coolant spray head 28, which is a coolant spraying means, onto the partition sheet 14 deployed in the event of a fire to wet the sheet, the flame-proofing, smoke-proofing and heat-proofing properties of the partition sheet 14 can be further improved.

[Sheet unfolding device]
As shown in FIG. 1, the sheet deployment device 10 has a device main body 12, which is the main body means, fixed to the ceiling surface side of the protected space, and one end of a partition sheet 14, which is the partition means, is fixed to the device main body 12 by a fixing member 15, which is the fixing means. The partition sheet 14 is in an undeployed state wound up in a roll shape and is held in a suspended state at two points, left and right, below the device main body 12 by a holding member 16, which is a holding means using a wire or rope.

The partition sheet 14 may be wound around a rotating shaft in the non-deployed state, and the latch on the rotating shaft may be released in the event of a fire to allow the partition sheet 14 to fall and deploy under its own weight. Alternatively, the partition sheet 14 of the sheet deployment device 10 may be folded bellows-like in the non-deployed state, and released in the event of a fire to allow the partition sheet 14 to fall and deploy.

The partition sheet 14 can withstand high heat, for example, 1200°C, and is also called a fireproof sheet, fireproof curtain, fireproof screen, etc. Note that the partition sheet 14 may be any sheet that has heat resistance of several hundred degrees or more, even if it is below 1200°C.

The weight of the partition sheet 14 is approximately 35 kilograms for a size of, for example, 5 meters wide and 10 meters long. A steel shutter of the same size weighs more than 600 kilograms, so this is only about 1/20 of the weight, making it easy to install the sheet deployment device 10 in the protected space.

One end of the retaining member 16, which is made of a wire or rope, is fixed to the device body 12, and the other end is detachably held by the latch release operating unit 18, which is a deployment means provided on the device body 12, through the underside of the rolled partition sheet 14, and is prevented from falling off. The latch release operating unit 18 releases the latch by, for example, passing electricity through a solenoid in response to an operating signal from the outside.

When the sheet deployment device 10 activates the latch release actuator 18 in response to an external activation signal in the event of a fire, one end of the partition sheet 14 is fixed to the device body 12, while the other end of the partition sheet 14 is released from the holding member 16, and the partition sheet 14 falls under its own weight and deploys downward, as shown in Figure 2.

When the latch release operating unit 18 releases the retention member 16, the partition sheet 14, which weighs approximately 35 kilograms, drops and unfolds with one side fixed, allowing it to fall and unfold up and down more quickly than the conventional method of unrolling the partition sheet 14 using motor drive.

The length of the partition sheet 14 deployed as shown in Figure 2 is measured to be longer than the installation height of the sheet deployment device 10 in the protected space to allow for some extra length. This is because there may be luggage, equipment, and other materials placed on the floor under the protected space, and when the partition sheet 14 is dropped and deployed, even if there is equipment on the floor, the sheet will sag to prevent gaps from forming.

The sheet deployment device 10 is also provided with a coolant spray head 28, which is a coolant spraying means for spraying, for example, cooling water as a coolant onto the deployed partition sheet 14 in the event of a fire. The coolant spray head 28 is provided on piping 29 extending out on both sides of the device body 12, and a cooling piping 44 is connected to the coolant spray head 28 through the device body 12 via an on-off valve 46. In the event of a fire, the coolant spray head 28 receives a supply of cooling water from a coolant supply facility 40 (described below), and sprays the cooling water as a coolant onto one side of the deployed partition sheet 14, as shown by the dashed dotted line in Figure 2, for example, onto the outer sheet surface (the left sheet surface in the figure), which is the opposite side to the side where the fire occurred, assuming that the right side of the partition sheet 14 in Figure 2(B) is the location of the fire (inside).

The cooling water sprayed from the coolant spray head 28 wets the outer sheet surface of the unfolded partition sheet 14 almost uniformly and flows down along the outer sheet surface. Partition sheets 14 are available in two types: those with a resin coating on the surface of the fabric weave, and those without. When an uncoated partition sheet 14 is used, the cooling water sprayed from the coolant spray head 28 wets the sheet surface of the unfolded partition sheet 14, and the cooling water permeates the fabric weave of the partition sheet 14, closing gaps, improving smoke insulation, and suppressing the spread of smoke to the outside of the partition sheet 14. In addition, the partition sheet 14 is cooled by the impregnation of the sprayed water and the flow down along the outer sheet surface, improving its fireproofing and heat insulation properties. Of course, the desired effect can also be obtained with a coated sheet.

The reason why cooling water is sprayed on the outer sheet surface of the partition sheet 14 deployed from the coolant spray head 28, which is opposite the side where the fire has started, is that extinguishing foam is sprayed from the fire extinguishing head 26 (described below) within the target compartment partitioned off by the deployment of the partition sheet 14, and if the sprayed extinguishing foam is splashed with cooling water from the coolant spray head 28, the extinguishing foam will disappear, so this is to prevent the extinguishing foam from disappearing.

When spraying fire extinguishing water into a partitioned area that includes the location of the fire, separated by the deployment of the partition sheet 14, cooling water may be sprayed onto the inner sheet surface, or onto both the inner and outer sheet surfaces.

In this embodiment, one coolant spray head 28 is provided on each side of the sheet spreading device 10, but multiple coolant spray heads 28 may be arranged side by side depending on the sheet width. Also, the cooling pipes 44 for the coolant spray heads 28 may be arranged on the outside without passing through the device main body 12. Also, the opening and closing valve 46 may be built into the device main body 12 instead of being external.

In addition, the release of the partition sheet 14 by the deployment means in the sheet deployment device 10 can be achieved not only by an external activation signal in the event of a fire, but also by a heat-sensitive activation type using a fusible link that releases the hold by blowing a fuse exposed to heat from the fire. Also, a composite type that combines each method depending on the application, scale, and shape can be used.

Furthermore, the holding member 16 as the holding means and the latch release operating unit 18 as the deployment means are not limited to these, and any suitable method can be adopted. For example, a strong and wide resin tape can be used as the holding means, and the partition sheet 14 wound in a roll shape on the device main body 12 can be hung and held by the resin tape through the underside of the resin tape, and a heater wire can be embedded in the resin tape as the deployment means at a position across the resin tape, and in the event of a fire, the resin tape can be melted by passing an electric current through the heater wire, releasing the hold of the partition sheet 14 and causing it to fall, thereby deploying it vertically.

[Installation of a sheet deployment device for a protected space]
Fig. 3 is an explanatory diagram showing the installation state of the sheet deployment device in the disaster prevention facility. As shown in Fig. 3, the disaster prevention facility 20 using the sheet deployment device 10 of this embodiment is installed for a protected space 22 such as a large warehouse. Twelve sheet deployment devices 10 that deploy the partition sheet 14 in the event of a fire are arranged in a lattice pattern on the upper flat surface on the ceiling side of the protected space 22. The sheet deployment devices 10 can be installed not only on the ceiling surface of the protected space 22, but also in a space position slightly below the ceiling surface, for example.

Here, the sections divided by dotted lines in the protective space 22 corresponding to the grid-like arrangement of the sheet deployment device 10 are defined as target sections A1 to A9 that are separated by the deployment of the partition sheet 14 by the sheet deployment device 10. In addition, the size and number of target sections in the protective space 22 are determined arbitrarily according to the size of the partition sheet 14 deployed by the sheet deployment device 10.

A sheet deployment control device 32 is provided corresponding to the sheet deployment device 10, and the sheet deployment control device 32 pre-stores the relationship of the sheet deployment device 10 that should operate in response to the target sections A1 to A9 in order to deploy the partition sheet 14 to surround each of the target sections A1 to A9 in which a fire has occurred if a fire occurs in any of the target sections A1 to A9.

Fire detectors 24 are installed on the ceiling side of each of the target sections A1 to A9 in the protected space 22 shown in Figure 3, and are connected to a signal line 45b drawn from the fire receiving panel 34.

For example, the fire detector 24 is equipped with a transmission function and is assigned a unique address. When a fire is reported, the fire detector 24 transmits a fire signal including its own address, allowing the fire receiver panel 34 to identify in which of the target sections A1 to A9 the fire has occurred. Based on this, the fire alarm is output and a signal transfer indicating the target section in which the fire has occurred is sent to the fire extinguishing control panel 38.

For this reason, the sheet deployment control device 32, based on the report signal received from the fire receiving panel 34, operates the sheet deployment device 10 to deploy the partition sheet 14 to surround the target compartment where the fire has occurred, corresponding to one of the target compartments A1 to A9 where the fire has occurred.

Fire extinguishing heads 26 that spray extinguishing agents such as extinguishing water or extinguishing foam are disposed on the ceiling surface side of each of the target compartments A1 to A9 in the protected space 22 shown in FIG. 3, and the extinguishing heads 26 are connected to a fire extinguishing pipe 42 from an extinguishing agent supply facility 36 via an on-off valve 30.

The extinguishing agent supply equipment 36 is a fire pump equipment or a foam fire pump equipment. When a fire alarm is output from the fire receiving panel 34, the fire pump equipment is started to supply fire water, or the foam fire pump equipment is started to supply foam extinguishing liquid. The fire pump equipment or the foam fire pump equipment is started by manual operation or by linked start-up via a signal transfer from the fire receiving panel 34.

A signal line 45c drawn from the fire extinguishing control panel 38 is connected to the on-off valve 30. The fire extinguishing control panel 38 sends an open drive signal to the on-off valve 30 located in the target compartment where the fire has occurred, corresponding to one of the target compartments A1 to A9 where the fire has occurred, indicated by the report signal received from the fire receiving panel 34, to open the valve, and sprays fire extinguishing water or fire extinguishing foam to the target compartment where the fire has occurred. The fire pump and on-off valve can be started based on a start signal sent from the sheet deployment control device 32 to the fire extinguishing control panel 38.

As a fire extinguishing means for spraying fire extinguishing agent on the target sections A1 to A9, for example, a closed sprinkler head may be provided for each of the target sections A1 to A9, or a water cannon device may be provided that sprays fire extinguishing water from a water nozzle onto the target sections A1 to A9.

In the event of a fire, cooling water is supplied as a coolant from the coolant supply equipment 40 to the coolant spray head 28 provided on the sheet deployment device 10, and the cooling water is sprayed as a coolant onto the sheet surface of the partition sheet 14 deployed as shown in Figure 2.

The coolant supply equipment 40 is a water pump equipment, and is started, for example, in conjunction with the extinguishing agent supply equipment 36 by the fire extinguishing control panel 38, and supplies cooling water to the coolant spray head 28 of the sheet deployment device 10 through the cooling pipe 44. A signal line (not shown) drawn from the fire extinguishing control panel 38 is connected to the on-off valve 46, and the fire extinguishing control panel 38 transmits an open drive signal to the on-off valve 46 (see FIG. 2) corresponding to the outer sheet surface of the sheet deployment device 10 that separates the target section where the fire has occurred, corresponding to one of the target sections A1 to A9 that are the location of the fire, received by the fire receiving panel 34 through a report signal, to open the valve, and spray cooling water on the outer sheet surface of the deployed partition sheet 14. Note that the on-off valve 46 is omitted in FIG. 3. Note that the extinguishing agent supply equipment 36 and the coolant supply equipment 40 may be shared, and similarly, the fire extinguishing pipe 42 and the cooling pipe 44 may be shared.

[Disaster prevention equipment operation]
Fig. 4 is an explanatory diagram showing the operation of the sheet deployment device that deploys the partition sheet to surround the fire site, omitting the illustration of the coolant spray head 28. Fig. 5 is an explanatory diagram showing the spraying of cooling water to the deployed partition sheet of Fig. 4 in a plan view.

As shown in FIG. 4, if a fire breaks out in the target area A5 and the corresponding fire detector 24 issues a fire alarm, the latch release operating parts 18 of the four sheet deployment devices 10 arranged in a rectangular shape on the ceiling surface above the target area A5, which has been determined to be the location of the fire, are activated to release the latches of the holding members 16, the rolled-up partition sheet 14 is released and falls, and the partition sheet 14 is deployed to surround the four sides of the target area A5, closing off the perimeter of the target area A5 and forming a partition area.

As a result, flames, smoke, and heat from a fire that breaks out in the target compartment A5 are blocked by the partition sheet 14 deployed around it, preventing it from escaping to the outside, essentially forming a fire compartment.

In addition, the fire extinguishing head 26 sprays extinguishing water or extinguishing foam onto the target area A5 surrounded by the deployed partition sheet 14 by opening the on-off valve 30. Therefore, in the case of a protected space 22 such as a large warehouse, even if the fire extinguishing head 26 is located at a high position, for example more than several meters, close to the ceiling surface, the water is sprayed in a concentrated manner within the target area A5 surrounded by the partition sheet 14 without scattering to the surrounding area, making it possible to reliably suppress and extinguish a fire occurring in the target area A5.

In addition, when extinguishing water or extinguishing foam is sprayed from the extinguishing head 26, it is blocked by the partition sheet 14 deployed around the periphery and hardly leaks out to the surrounding area, making it possible to minimize damage caused by the spraying of extinguishing water or extinguishing foam.

In addition, in the target section A5, which is surrounded by the unfolded partition sheets 14, gaps will occur at the seams of the four partition sheets 14. In order to close these gaps, for example, an auxiliary partition sheet may be unfolded diagonally across the inside of the corner to close the gaps.

As shown in FIG. 5, cooling water is sprayed onto the outer sheet surface from the coolant spray heads 28 installed on the outside of the four sheet deployment devices 10 that deploy the partition sheets 14 around the target section A5, improving the flame, smoke and heat insulation properties, and the water flows down along the outer sheet surface, providing a high cooling effect and improving heat resistance.

In addition, as the cooling water flows down along the unfolded partition sheet 14, the weight of the partition sheet 14 increases, and the force pulling the sheet down and spreading it out increases the tension of the unfolded partition sheet 14, allowing it to maintain its shape.

The above embodiment takes as an example a case in which multiple sheet deployment devices are arranged in a grid pattern on the upper flat surface of the protected space, but as long as the partition sheets can be deployed to surround the location where the fire occurs, the sheet deployment devices can be arranged as necessary.

In addition, if the width of the target section is long, multiple sheet deployment devices are arranged side by side. In this case, multiple sheet deployment devices are arranged side by side so that adjacent partition sheets overlap at the ends to close the gap.
