Description
The present invention relates to an X-ray tube device and an X-ray imaging device using the same, and in particular to the structure of a rotating anode type X-ray tube device.
The rotating anode body that constitutes the X-ray tube device has a rotor connected to the anode and a rotating shaft supported by a fixed part via a rotary bearing. The rotor is further divided into a heat dissipation part and a rotating support shaft. The heat dissipation part is made of a material with high thermal conductivity to dissipate heat generated by the anode, while the rotating support shaft is made of a material that has high heat resistance, a small thermal expansion coefficient, and great mechanical strength. As the two are made of different materials, they are integrated by joining the separate parts. This joint requires a robust joint to withstand the high load placed on the anode when it rotates at high speed.
However, even if the brazing material has excellent fluidity, if the parts to be joined are curved when they come together, there is a risk that the brazing material will not flow between the parts that are in close contact. Furthermore, if the joint is made into an annular toothed part as described in
The objective of the present invention is to provide an X-ray tube device that provides a robust joint structure in which the brazing material is distributed over the entire curved joint surface even if the shape of the joint is curved, thereby enabling stable high-speed rotation of the anode.
In the X-ray tube assembly of the present invention, which solves the problem, the rotor supporting the anode has a rotor rotation support shaft and a rotor heat dissipation section, which are joined by brazing at the peripheral end surfaces of each other, and the joint is bent. At least one of the rotor heat dissipation section and the rotor rotation support shaft has multiple radial grooves formed on the contact surface perpendicular to the axial peripheral surface in the bent joint. The grooves provided in part of the bent section act as tunnels for injecting brazing material into the joint to perform brazing, allowing the brazing material to flow between the closely-contacted parts and flow over the entire peripheral surface of the bent joint, resulting in a firmly bonded rotor structure.
That is, the X-ray tube device of the present invention comprises a cathode that emits an electron beam, an anode that is arranged opposite the cathode, a rotating support that rotatably supports the anode, and an enclosure that hermetically encloses the cathode, the anode, and the rotating support, and the rotating support has a fixed part that is fixed to the enclosure, a rotating shaft part that is connected to the fixed part via a bearing, and a rotor that is connected to the rotating shaft part via a heat insulating part and has the anode fixed thereto, and the rotor has a rotor rotating support shaft part to one end of which the anode is fixed, and a cylindrical heat dissipation part that is joined by brazing to the other end side of the rotor rotating support shaft part, and the heat dissipation part has a seat part that is formed at the joint with the rotor rotating support shaft part and that is in close contact with the rotor rotating support shaft part, and a groove is formed in either the seat part or the joint surface of the rotor rotating support shaft part that abuts against the seat part.
The X-ray imaging device of the present invention is equipped with the above-mentioned X-ray tube device as an X-ray source, and can be applied to, for example, medical and industrial X-ray inspection devices and X-ray CT devices.
According to the present invention, even if the joint between the rotation support shaft supporting the anode and the heat dissipation section has a curved structure, the brazing material flows into the entire structure through the groove, so that the tight bonding between the components in places where no groove is provided is strong, and the rotor rotation support shaft is less likely to tilt. This reduces vibrations during anode rotation, making it possible to extend the life of the X-ray tube device itself and to mitigate the impact of vibrations of the X-ray tube device on X-ray imaging.
First, the overall configuration of a rotating anode type
The
The
The
The
The
The
In the
Only 1% of the energy of the electron beam EB is converted into X-rays, and most of the remaining energy becomes heat. In an X-ray tube device installed in a medical X-ray CT device, the tube voltage is several hundred kV and the tube current is several hundred mA, so the
Next, the structure of the
The
The configuration of each part of the
The fixed portion 34 is a metal member having a shape combining a columnar shape with a bottom surface at one end and a cylinder, and the bottom surface side is supported by the
The rotating shaft 32 is a stepped cylindrical metal member, and the small diameter shaft portion is rotatably supported by the fixed portion 34 via the rotary bearings 33a and 33b. The large diameter end of the rotating shaft 32 is fitted with the cylindrical insulating portion 31, which is connected to the insulating portion 31 by the screw 38b. The insulating portion 31 is fitted to the inside of the rotor 35, and connected to the rotor 35 by the screw 38a. The insulating portion 31 is made of a metal member with a lower thermal conductivity than the rotor 35.
Screw 38a is used to connect rotor 35 to heat insulating section 31, and screw 38b is used to connect heat insulating section 31 to rotating shaft section 32. Multiple screws 38a and 38b are arranged on a circumference centered on rotating shaft P according to the required connecting force.
The rotary bearings 33a and 33b are so-called rolling bearings, and are configured by arranging multiple spheres on the outer circumference of the rotary shaft 32, and the surfaces of the spheres are coated with a soft metal such as lead as a lubricant. When the temperature of the rotary bearings 33a and 33b exceeds the melting point of the lubricant, the lubricant is partially lost, increasing the friction of the rotary bearings 33a and 33b and adversely affecting the rotation. By providing a heat insulating section 31 with low thermal conductivity between the rotary shaft 32 and the rotor 35 as described above, the amount of heat transferred from the
The rotor 35 is a metal member having a shape combining a cylindrical column and a cylindrical portion, in which the rotation support shaft portion 36 and the heat dissipation portion 37 are brazed with a soldering material. The
The rotary support shaft 36 is made of a metal material with a low coefficient of thermal expansion, high heat resistance, and high mechanical strength, such as molybdenum or a molybdenum alloy. The heat dissipation section 37 is made of a material with a relatively high coefficient of thermal expansion and high mechanical strength, such as stainless steel. Since these are made of different materials, they are integrated by joining them with brazing. Brazing materials such as copper and silver are used. The thinner the thickness of the brazing material at the joint 350, the higher the joint strength. However, there is a characteristic that the joint strength decreases if the brazing material becomes thinner beyond a certain thickness. The appropriate thickness varies depending on the type of brazing material, but for example, in the case of silver brazing, this appropriate thickness is approximately 50 μm.
Taking into account the configuration of the

This embodiment is characterized in that a rotor 35 having a structure in which brazing is performed at a joint structure in which a cylindrical rotation support shaft portion 36 is supported by a cylindrical heat dissipation portion 37 has a structure in which a groove is formed on the surface where the rotation support shaft portion 36 and the heat dissipation portion 37 are in close contact with each other. The groove may be provided in either one of the members of the rotation support shaft portion 36 or the heat dissipation portion 37, or may be provided in both. In this embodiment, a case in which a groove is provided on the heat dissipation portion 37 side will be described.
As shown in FIG. 2, the rotating support shaft 36 has a cylindrical shape, and the end opposite to the end to which the
Furthermore, as shown in FIG. 3, the seat surface 371a of the bent portion 371 of the heat dissipation portion has multiple grooves 39 (four in the figure) formed in the radial direction of the ring shape. The grooves 39 are formed to connect the inner circumferential surface above the seat surface with the inner circumferential surface below, and act as tunnels during brazing.
The configuration and function of the groove 39 will be described in detail below with reference to Figures 4 and 5. Figures 4 and 5 are enlarged cross-sectional views of the joint 350 when the heat dissipation section 37 is cut along lines B-B and A-A in Figure 3, respectively.
As shown in FIG. 4, the outer peripheral surface of the disk-shaped portion 361 and the inner peripheral surface of the heat dissipation portion 37 are brazed with brazing material 40, thereby firmly joining the two components at the joint 350.
For example, as shown in the figure, the heat dissipation section 37 is brazed by fitting the rotation support shaft section 36 so that the disk-shaped section 361 of the rotation support shaft section 36 rests on the seating surface 371a of the heat dissipation section 37 with the bent section 371 side facing down, and pouring the brazing material 40 between the outer periphery of the large diameter section of the disk-shaped section 361 and the inner periphery of the heat dissipation section 37. At this time, the weight of the rotation support shaft section 36 causes the rotation support shaft section 36 to come into close contact with the seating surface 371a, so the flow of the poured brazing material 40 may be stopped at this contact area and may not be able to flow to the bottom. In that case, the joint between the heat dissipation section 37 and the rotation support shaft section 36 is generally only the brazing section between the outer periphery of the large diameter section and the inner periphery of the heat dissipation section 37, and durability against the load during high-speed rotation decreases.
In this embodiment, as shown in Fig. 5, a groove 39 is provided in the seating surface 371a with which the disk-shaped portion 361 of the rotation support shaft portion 36 comes into close contact, so that the brazing material injected from above can pass through the groove 39 and flow between the inner peripheral surface of the lower side of the heat dissipation portion 37 and the outer peripheral surface of the small diameter portion of the disk-shaped portion 361. As a result, the brazing material 40 is injected into the entire surface where the bent end of the heat dissipation portion 37 and the stepped cylindrical portion 361 of the rotation support shaft portion 36 come into contact, realizing a strong joint. In addition, the inside of the groove 39 is filled with the brazing material 40, so that the joint strength is also increased at the seating surface.
In the above explanation, the case where the brazing material is injected from the upper side in FIG. 3 is described. However, even if the brazing is performed upside down, the groove 39 still functions as a tunnel for the inflow of the brazing material, and the same effect can be obtained.
As described above, the groove 39 may have any shape or structure that functions as a tunnel. For example, the cross-sectional shape of the groove 39 perpendicular to the longitudinal direction may be any of V-shape (A), U-shape (B), and concave-shape (C) as shown in Figs. 6(A) to (C). The shape is appropriately determined taking into consideration the ease of flow of the brazing material, the rigidity of the groove 39 filled with the brazing material, and ease of processing. For example, in the three shapes shown in Fig. 6, when the groove width and groove depth are the same, the cross-sectional area of the V-shape (A) is the narrowest, the U-shape (B) is the next widest, and the concave-shape (C) is the widest. In addition, when the groove length is the same, the volume of the brazing material 40 filled in the groove is (A) < (B) < (C). In general, the smaller the amount of brazing material 40 used, the higher the rigidity of the brazed body, so the rigidity of each groove is (A) > (B) > (C).
Regarding ease of processing, when forming a groove on the seat surface 371a on the inside of the cylinder of the heat dissipation part 37 as in this embodiment, the V-shape or concave shape shown in Figures 6(A) and (C) is easy to process. Also, when processing is possible from the outside like the stepped part of the rotation support shaft part 36 as in the embodiment described later, the shape of Figure 6(B) can also be easily processed by drilling or the like.
The groove shape may be a shape other than that shown in FIG. 6, for example, a trapezoid as shown in FIGS. 7(D) and 7(E).
The depth of the groove is preferably equal to or greater than the appropriate thickness for the type of brazing material, and as a guideline, the depth is preferably about three times the appropriate thickness for the type of brazing material. For example, when silver brazing is used, the lower limit of the groove depth is 50 μm and the upper limit is 150 μm.
The narrower the groove width, the greater the contact area between the seating surfaces of the rotation support shaft portion 36 and the heat dissipation portion 37, and the more the tilt of the rotation support shaft portion 36 can be suppressed. However, the narrower the groove width, the more difficult it becomes for the solder to flow into the groove, and the risk of incomplete soldering increases. As a guideline, it is desirable for the groove width to be 10 times larger than the groove depth. For example, when using silver solder, the groove width is set to 500 μm to 1500 μm.
Regarding the placement of the grooves, FIG. 3 shows a case where four grooves are formed at 90-degree intervals when the seat surface of the heat dissipation section 37 is viewed from above (from the top side of FIG. 4), but the number and arrangement of the grooves are not limited to this. However, with one groove, there is a risk that the brazing at the position opposite the groove will be incomplete, and with two grooves, there is a risk that the rotation support shaft section 36 will tilt from the brazing position of the groove as a starting point. For the above reasons, it is preferable to have at least three grooves, and it is also preferable that the grooves are arranged at equal intervals. For example, as shown in FIGS. 8(A) and (B), three grooves can be arranged at 120-degree intervals, or six grooves can be arranged at 60-degree intervals.
The above-mentioned groove shape, groove arrangement, and dimensions such as groove depth and width are determined appropriately according to the brazing conditions. Brazing conditions mainly include the amount of brazing material, brazing temperature, brazing time, etc. The amount of brazing material is determined by the amount supplied, and is the volume required to fill the gaps created by the difference in thermal expansion coefficient during brazing. The brazing temperature requires that the temperature of each component be raised to the melting point of the brazing material, but care must be taken because excessive heat can impair the fluidity of the brazing material. The brazing time indicates the time it takes for the brazing material to spread throughout the brazing part; if it is too short, the brazing material will not spread, and if it is too long, the brazing material will overflow from between the components. Also, the narrower the cross-sectional area of the groove, the slower the flow rate of the brazing material, so care must be taken with the brazing time.
As described above, in the X-ray tube device of this embodiment, as shown in FIG. 5, the joint 350 where the rotation support shaft 36 and the heat dissipation section 37 are joined has a plurality of bent joint surfaces, of which the joint surface (soldered section) parallel to the rotation shaft 32 is filled with solder, so that the joint strength is not impaired, and the joint surface perpendicular to the rotation shaft 32 does not have solder except for the groove 39, so that the surfaces of the rotation support shaft 36 and the heat dissipation section 37 are in close contact with each other. This results in a structure in which the axis of the rotation support shaft 36 is less likely to tilt relative to the rotation shaft 32.
By making the rotation support shaft 36 less likely to tilt, the
<Embodiment 2>
In the first embodiment, the grooves 39 of the joint 350 are provided on the heat dissipation section 37 side, but in this embodiment, they are provided on the rotation support shaft section 36 side. An example is shown in Fig. 9. Fig. 9 is a view of the rotation support shaft section 36 as seen from the anode fixed side, and a plurality of grooves 39 are formed on a ring-shaped surface 361a of a large diameter section of a disk-shaped section 361 of the rotation support shaft section 36, which is generated by the difference in diameter between a large diameter section and a small diameter section. Here, an example in which four grooves are provided is also shown, but the number and arrangement of the grooves are the same as in the first embodiment, and it is preferable that the number of grooves is three or more and that the grooves are equally spaced from each other (angle direction intervals).
Even when a groove is provided on the rotating support shaft portion 36 side as in this embodiment, the function of the groove 39 is the same as in
In the above embodiment, the grooves 39 are provided on either the rotating support shaft side or the heat dissipation side, but they can also be provided on both sides. In that case, the grooves 39 on both sides can be provided in the same position to form a pair of tunnels, or they can be provided in a staggered pattern. When provided in a staggered pattern, even if two grooves are provided on each side, a total of four grooves are formed, which prevents the rotating support shaft 36 from tilting.
Furthermore, in the above embodiment, the shape of the joint 350 has been shown to have a single step, but the same can be applied to a structure with two or more steps.
