Description
曲がる方向に向かって車体を傾けることでコーナを走行する車両に設けられた車両用灯具であって、
ハイビーム配光パターンを形成する第一ランプと、
側方配光パターンを形成する第二ランプと、
対象物を検出する外部センサと、
前記ハイビーム配光パターンおよび前記側方配光パターンを調節するように前記第一ランプおよび前記第二ランプを制御する制御部と、
を備えており、
前記ハイビーム配光パターンおよび前記側方配光パターンの少なくとも一方は、前記対象物を含む第一領域と、前記第一領域以外の第二領域を含み、
前記外部センサが前記対象物を検出した場合、前記制御部は、少なくとも前記第二領域に光が照射されるように前記ハイビーム配光パターンおよび前記側方配光パターンを調節する。
図1は、第一実施形態における車両の一例として自動二輪車100を示している。自動二輪車100は、曲がる方向に向かって車体を傾けることで道路のコーナー(カーブ)に沿って走行することが可能な車両である。本実施形態の車両は、この自動二輪車100のように、曲がる方向に向かって車体を傾けることでコーナーを走行可能な車両であればよく、車輪の数は限定されない。したがって、例えば自動三輪車、自動四輪車などであっても、この自動二輪車100と同様に走行可能であれば本実施形態の車両に含まれる。
速度センサ8は、自動二輪車100の速度を検出する。
ホルダ34は、図示しない支持部材を介してランプボディ11に取り付けられている。
基準線Lは、対向する自動車の前照灯よりも低くてもよい。すなわちランプ制御部5は、対向する自動車の前照灯よりも低い位置に光が照射されるようにハイビーム配光パターンPHまたは側方配光パターンPCを調節してもよい。この場合に本実施形態は、基準線Lが対向する自動車の前照灯よりも低いため、対向する自動車の運転者の顔に光が当たらず、対向する自動車の運転者に対するグレアを防ぐことができる。
外部センサ7が歩行者Pを検出した場合、歩行者Pの顔には光を照射せず、歩行者Pの胴体等に光が照射されるように、ハイビーム配光パターンPHおよび側方配光パターンPCを調節してもよい。この場合、歩行者Pの顔以外が第一領域となる。歩行者Pの顔を含まない第一領域に光を照射するので、自動二輪車100の運転者は歩行者Pを視認しつつ、歩行者Pに対するグレアを防止し、運転支援の視認性を向上することができる。
Claims (6)
- 曲がる方向に向かって車体を傾けることでコーナを走行する車両に設けられた車両用灯具であって、
ハイビーム配光パターンを形成する第一ランプと、
側方配光パターンを形成する第二ランプと、
対象物を検出する外部センサと、
前記ハイビーム配光パターンおよび前記側方配光パターンを調節するように前記第一ランプおよび前記第二ランプを制御する制御部と、
を備えており、
前記側方配光パターンは、少なくとも前記ハイビーム配光パターンよりも車体の左右方向に広がって形成されており、
前記ハイビーム配光パターンおよび前記側方配光パターンの少なくとも一方は、前記対象物を含む第一領域と、前記第一領域以外の第二領域を含み、
前記外部センサが前記対象物を検出した場合、前記制御部は、少なくとも前記第二領域に光が照射されるように前記ハイビーム配光パターンおよび前記側方配光パターンを調節し、
前記制御部は、前記車体の傾きに応じて、前記第二領域に光が照射されるように少なくとも前記側方配光パターンを調節する、車両用灯具。 - 前記外部センサが前記対象物を検出した場合、前記制御部は前記第二ランプを消灯する、請求項1に記載の車両用灯具。
- 前記制御部は、前記外部センサの検出結果に関わらず、所定の基準線または当該基準線よりも下方の領域に光が照射されるように前記側方配光パターンを調節し、
前記基準線は、前記車体の左右方向に延びる、水平線に平行な線であり、前記水平線から所定の高さを有する、請求項1または請求項2に記載の車両用灯具。 - 前記対象物は対向車または前走車の少なくとも一方を含み、
前記外部センサが前記対向車または前記前走車を検出した場合、前記制御部は、前記第一領域に光が照射されないように前記ハイビーム配光パターンおよび前記側方配光パターンを調節する、請求項1~3のいずれか一項に記載の車両用灯具。 - 前記対象物は対向車または前走車の少なくとも一方を含み、
前記基準線は、前記対向車の窓ガラスまたは前記前走車の窓ガラスよりも低い、請求項3に記載の車両用灯具。 - 前記対象物は歩行者を含み、
前記外部センサが前記歩行者を検出した場合、前記制御部は、前記第一領域に光が照射されるように前記ハイビーム配光パターンおよび前記側方配光パターンの少なくも一方を調節する、請求項1~3のいずれか一項に記載の車両用灯具。
