Description

An embodiment of the present invention relates to a passenger conveyor.

A known installation form for passenger conveyors is one in which multiple passenger conveyor bodies are arranged side by side in the left-right direction. In passenger conveyors installed in this manner, guide fences are provided between the boarding and alighting doors of adjacent passenger conveyor bodies in the left-right direction to safely guide passengers to the passenger conveyor body.

The guide fences are fixed by welding their legs to the top surface of the upper frame material at the top of the truss of the passenger conveyor body. This makes it difficult to replace the guide fences, and in some cases, welding work cannot be carried out during modification work on existing passenger conveyors, making it impossible to install the guide fences.

In addition, the installation of the guide fence can be made easier by fixing it to the boarding and alighting board located between the boarding and alighting doors of adjacent passenger conveyor bodies in the left-right direction. However, if a user leans on it and exerts force on the guide fence, the board may be damaged or deformed.

The protruding portion 51b protrudes upward from the upper fixing portion 51a, and a flat mounting portion 51d is formed at the top. The mounting portion 51d supports the intermediate board 19M, which is placed on the mounting portion 51d. In addition, the mounting portion 51d is provided with a female thread portion 51e that screws into the bolt 71 that fixes the guide fence 70, as shown in FIG. 5.

In addition, one or more adjustment plates 54 may be provided between the upper fixing portion 51a and the upper surface portions 21L1, 21R1 of the left and right upper frame members 21L, 21R so that the height of the upper surface of the mounting portion 51d and the upper surfaces of the boarding and alighting board support portions 41R, 41L are the same.

The lower member 52 includes a lower metal fixing portion 52a that abuts against the lower ends of the side portions 21L2 and 21R2 of the upper frame members 21L and 21R, and a metal or rubber rotation restriction portion 52b that protrudes upward from the lower fixing portion 52a.

The lower fixing portion 52a has a length in the left-right direction that is longer than the gap S, and is arranged to bridge the lower ends of the side portions 21L2 and 21R2 from left to right.

The length of the rotation restricting portion 52b in the left-right direction is shorter than the gap S. The rotation restricting portion 52b fits into the gap S from below, restricting the lower fixing portion 52a from rotating around the connecting member 53 when attached.

The connecting member 53 is a metal shaft-shaped member that protrudes upward from the lower member 52, has a lower end fixed to the lower member 52, and has a male threaded portion 53a at its upper end. The male threaded portion 53a of the connecting member 53 is inserted into the hole portion 51c of the upper member 51 and screws into a nut 55 above the upper fixing portion 51a.

The method of mounting such a receiving stand 50 is to provide an upper member 51 on the upper side of the upper frame members 21L, 21R, provide a lower member 52 on the lower side of the upper frame members 21L, 21R, insert a connecting member 53 protruding upward from the lower member 52 into a hole 51c in the upper member, and then screw a nut 55 into the male threaded portion 53a. This allows the upper fixing portion 51a of the upper member 51 and the lower fixing portion 52a of the lower member 52 to sandwich the upper frame members 21L, 21R from above and below, and fix the receiving stand 50 to the upper frame facing portion 40.

(4) Guide fence 70
1 to 3 and 6, the guide fence 70 has a horizontal section 70a made of a bent metal pipe extending in the front-rear direction, and legs 70b, 70b provided at the front and rear ends of the horizontal section 70a. A fixing plate having a rectangular planar shape is provided at the lower end of the front leg 70b, which is provided on the intermediate boarding and alighting plate 19M and is fixed with bolts 71 to the female threaded section 51e of the receiving base 50 that has been attached to the upper frame members 21L and 21R beforehand, sandwiching the intermediate boarding and alighting plate 19M between them, before the installation of the guide fence 70.

In addition, the rear leg 70b is fixed to the floor of the building by an anchor bolt (not shown).

Here, the rear leg 70b is fixed to the floor of the building, but like the front leg 70b, it may be provided on the intermediate boarding and alighting plate 19M and fixed to the support platform 50.

(5) Effect In the passenger conveyor 1 of this embodiment, the guide fence 70 is fixed to the detachable support base 50 on the upper frame opposing portion 40 consisting of the upper frame materials 21L and 21R. Therefore, the guide fence 70 can be installed without requiring welding work, and the guide fence 70 can be easily removed and easily installed again.

In addition, by fixing the support base 50 to the upper frame members 21L and 21R, the force acting on the boarding and alighting board 20M from the guide fence 70 can be reduced. In particular, even if a passenger leans against the guide fence 70 and generates a force lifting it up, the lower fixing portion 52a is provided to bridge the lower ends of the side portions 21L2 and 21R2 of the upper frame members 21L and 21R from left to right, so strength can be maintained and the guide fence 70 will not tilt, preventing damage and deformation of the boarding and alighting board 20M.

In addition, the guide fence 70 and the receiving base 50 can be easily attached and detached, and the receiving base 50 and the upper frame members 21L and 21R can also be attached and detached.

In addition, the guide fence 70 may be installed not only during modification work on an existing passenger conveyor 1, but also during construction work on a new passenger conveyor 1.

In addition, by using an adjustment plate 54 between the receiving base 50 and the upper frame members 21L, 21R, the height of the mounting portion 51d of the receiving base 50 and the top surface of the board support portion 41R, 41L can be easily made the same height, and the boards 19L, 19R and the intermediate board 19M can be installed at the boarding entrances 17L, 17R without any steps.

The lower member 52 of the receiving base 50 is provided with a rotation restriction portion 52b that fits into the gap S formed between the upper frame members 21L and 21R and restricts the lower member 52 from rotating around the connecting member 53. Therefore, when the nut 55 is screwed into the male thread portion 53a of the connecting member 53, the connecting member 53 does not rotate, and the receiving base 50 can be securely attached to the upper frame members 21L and 21R.

Any one of the multiple modifications described below may be applied to the above-described embodiment, or any two or more of the modifications described below may be applied in combination. In addition to the following modifications, various modifications are possible.

(6-1) Modification Example 1
In the embodiment described above, one hole 51c is provided on each of the front and rear sides of the protrusion 51b of the receiving base 50, and the protrusion 51b is connected to the lower member 52 by a connecting member 53. However, as illustrated in Figure 7, multiple holes 51c (two on the front and two on the rear in Figure 7) may be provided on each of the front and rear sides of the protrusion 51b, and the protrusion 51b may be connected to the lower member 52 by multiple connecting members 53.

(6-2) Modification Example 2
In the above-described embodiment, the receiving base 50 was fixed to the upper frame opposing portion 40 by sandwiching the upper frame materials 21L, 21R between the upper member 51 and the lower member 52 from above and below, but the receiving base 50 may also be fixed to the upper frame opposing portion 40 by fixing the receiving base 50 to upper frame connecting members 60A, 60B provided on the upper side of the upper frame materials 21L, 21R.

Specifically, as shown in Figures 8 to 10, the upper frame connecting members 60A, 60B are made of metal plate members with a rectangular planar shape that are arranged above the upper frame members 21L, 21R to span the gap S and connect the left and right upper frame members 21L, 21R, and are composed of a front upper frame connecting member 60A provided on the front side of the receiving base 50 and a rear upper frame connecting member 60B provided on the rear side of the receiving base 50.

The upper frame connecting members 60A, 60B have through holes 61AL, 61AR, 61BL, 61BR that penetrate vertically at both left and right ends, respectively, and female threaded portions 62A, 62B are provided in the center in the horizontal direction.

The through hole 61AL provided on the left side of the front upper frame connecting member 60A is a slit-shaped hole that opens to one of the front and rear ends (e.g. the front end) of the upper frame connecting member 60A, and the through hole 61AR provided on the right side of the upper frame connecting member 60A is a slit-shaped hole that opens to the other of the front and rear ends (e.g. the rear end) of the upper frame connecting member 60A. In other words, the through hole 61AR of the upper frame connecting member 60A is a slit-shaped hole that opens to the opposite side in the front-rear direction from the through hole 61AL.

The through hole 61BL on the left side of the rear upper frame connecting member 60B is a slit-shaped hole that opens to one of the front and rear ends (e.g., the rear end) of the upper frame connecting member 60B, and the through hole 61BR on the right side of the upper frame connecting member 60B is a slit-shaped hole that opens to the other of the front and rear ends (e.g., the front end) of the upper frame connecting member 60B. In other words, the through hole 61BR of the upper frame connecting member 60B is a slit-shaped hole that opens to the opposite side from the through hole 61BL.

As shown in FIG. 10, it is preferable that the through holes 61BL, 61BR provided in the rear upper frame connecting member 60B are slit-shaped holes that open in the opposite direction to the through holes 61BL, 61BR provided in the front upper frame connecting member 60A.

In other words, the through hole 61BL provided on the left side of the rear upper frame connecting member 60B is a slit-shaped hole that opens on the opposite side (e.g., the rear end) of the through hole 61AL provided on the left side of the front upper frame connecting member 60A, and the through hole 61BR provided on the right side of the rear upper frame connecting member 60B is a slit-shaped hole that opens on the opposite side (e.g., the front end) of the through hole 61AR provided on the right side of the front upper frame connecting member 60A.

The protrusion 43L extending in the vertical direction provided on the boarding/alighting board support part 41L of the left passenger conveyor main body 1L is inserted into the through holes 61AL, 61BL provided on the left side of the upper frame connecting members 60A, 60B. The protrusion 43R extending in the vertical direction provided on the boarding/alighting board support part 41R of the right passenger conveyor main body 1R is inserted into the through holes 61AR, 61BR provided on the right side of the upper frame connecting members 60A, 60B. By inserting the protrusions 43L, 43R into the through holes 61AL, 61AR, 61BL, 61BR, the movement of the upper frame connecting members 60A, 60B in the front-rear and left-right directions is restricted.

In this modified example, to attach the receiving base 50 to the upper frame opposing portion 40, first, while rotating the upper frame connecting members 60A, 60B around the vertical axis, insert the protrusions 43L, 43R into the through holes 61AL, 61AR, 61BL, 61BR, and position the upper frame connecting members 60A, 60B so as to connect the upper surface portions 21L1, 21R1 of the left and right upper frame members 21L, 21R.

Then, the bolt 63 is threaded through the hole 51c provided in the upper fixing portion 51a of the receiving base 50 into the female threaded portions 62A, 62B of the upper frame connecting members 60A, 60B provided on the upper surface portions 21L1, 21R1 of the upper frame members 21L, 21R, to fix the receiving base 50 to the upper frame connecting members 60A, 60B.

In this modified example, one or more adjustment plates 64 may be provided between the upper fixing portion 51a of the upper member 51 and the upper frame connecting members 60A, 60B so that the height of the upper surface of the mounting portion 51d and the upper surfaces of the boarding and alighting board support portions 41R, 41L are the same.

In this modified example, the receiving base 50 can be fixed by the upper frame connecting members 60A, 60B arranged on the upper side of the upper surface portions 21L1, 21R1 without placing any members on the lower side of the side portions 21L2, 21R2 of the upper frame members 21L, 21R, making the installation work of the receiving base 50 even easier.

In addition, the through holes 61AL, 61BL at the left ends of the upper frame connecting members 60A, 60B and the through holes 61AR, 61BR at the right ends open in opposite directions, preventing the upper frame connecting members 60A, 60B from shifting in the front-to-rear direction.

The protrusions 43L, 43R inserted into the through holes 61AL, 61AR, 61BL, 61BR of the upper frame connecting members 60A, 60B may be any members extending in the vertical direction provided on the board support portion 41. For example, as shown in FIG. 9, the fasteners 43L, 43R that fix the board support portions 41L, 41R to the upper surface portions 21L1, 21R1 of the upper frame members 21L, 21R may be inserted into the through holes 61AL, 61AR, 61BL, 61BR as protrusions.

(6-3) Modification Example 3
In the above-described embodiment, the legs 70b of the guide fence 70 are directly fixed to the protrusions 51b of the receiving base 50 by bolts 71. However, as illustrated in Figure 11, a plurality of receiving bases 50 and a receiving base connecting portion 58 fixed to the plurality of receiving bases 50 may be provided on the upper side of the upper frame materials 21L, 21R that constitute the upper frame opposing portion 40, and the legs 70b of the guide fence 70 may be fixed to the receiving base connecting portion 58 by bolts 71.

In this modified example, even if there is no space to place the support base 50 below the position where the leg 70b of the guide fence 70 is to be provided, the leg 70b of the guide fence 70 can be fixed via the support base connecting portion 58.

In this modified example, one or more adjustment plates 59 may be provided between the mounting portion 50d of the receiving platform 50 and the receiving platform connecting portion 58 so that the upper surface of the receiving platform connecting portion 58 and the upper surfaces of the board support portions 41R and 41L are at the same height.
