Description

The present invention relates to a corner member for temporary fencing used in renovation work for stores and other buildings, and more specifically, to a corner member for temporary fencing used to form the corners of a temporary fencing constructed by connecting multiple temporary panels that can be expanded and contracted in the vertical direction.

Conventionally, temporary fencing used for renovation work on stores and other structures within buildings has been constructed by erecting multiple temporary panels that can be expanded or contracted by sliding them vertically (see, for example, Patent Document 1). These temporary panels can be freely connected to each other horizontally using connectors, and are also constructed to be expandable in the vertical direction, so they are convenient in that they can be freely assembled and used to suit the area and ceiling height of the renovation site.

In addition, since the gypsum board can be collected and reused after the renovation work is completed, there is no risk of large amounts of used gypsum board being disposed of as waste after the work is completed, as occurs when a temporary enclosure is constructed using light steel partitions and gypsum board, and this has the advantage of reducing costs and conserving resources.

However, in this conventional technology, although flexibility is ensured for the horizontal connections of each panel because they can be freely connected using connectors, flexibility is lacking for the corners. In order to form corners without gaps, the only option is to butt the temporary panels together to make a corner that is at a right angle in cross section, and to form corners at any other angle, the only option is to provide a gap between the temporary panels and use that as the corner.

However, if gaps are left between temporary panels to create corners, it will not only look bad, but there is also a risk that noise and dust caused by construction will leak out, thus defeating the original purpose of the temporary enclosure.

In such cases, it may be possible to cover the gap with a sheet or similar material, but even if this is done, it will still look unsightly, and it is difficult to say that this is a fundamental solution.

The present invention was made to solve these problems, and aims to provide a corner member for temporary enclosures that can easily form corners of various angles and that also have a good appearance.

Second Invention
In addition, the corner member for temporary enclosure according to the present invention is
A corner member for a temporary enclosure that connects temporary panels having a lower panel member and an upper panel member that is slidable in the up and down direction relative to the lower panel member to form a corner portion of the temporary enclosure,
the corner member includes a cylindrical first pole member, a cylindrical second pole member slidable in an axial direction from one end of the first pole member and rotatable about the axis, and a cylindrical third pole member slidable in an axial direction from the other end of the first pole member and rotatable about the axis,
The first pole member has a first receiving portion capable of receiving at least one side end of an upper panel member or a lower panel member of the temporary panel,
The second pole member includes a second receiving portion capable of receiving a side end portion of an upper panel member of the temporary panel,
The third pole member is characterized by having a third receiving portion capable of receiving a side end portion of a lower panel member of the temporary panel.

According to the first invention, for example, by receiving the side end of the lower panel member of the temporary panel erected on one side with the first receiving portion of the first pole member, and receiving the side end of the upper panel member of the temporary panel erected on the other side with the second receiving portion of the second pole member, the temporary panels on one side and the other side can be connected at an appropriate angle to form a corner portion of the temporary enclosure. This makes it possible to easily form corner portions of various angles.

According to the second invention, for example, at least one side end of the upper or lower panel member of the temporary panel erected on one side is received by the first receiving portion of the first pole member, while the side end of the upper panel member of the temporary panel erected on the other side is received by the second receiving portion of the second pole member, and further, the side end of the lower panel member of the temporary panel on one or the other side is received by the third receiving portion. In this way, similar to the above, the temporary panels on one and the other sides can be connected at an appropriate angle to form a corner of the temporary enclosure. This makes it possible to easily form corners of various angles.

In this way, according to the present invention, each pole member, which is slidable and rotatable about its axis in accordance with the degree of expansion and contraction of the temporary panel, is provided with a receiving portion that receives the side end of the temporary panel. Therefore, when connecting temporary panels together, corners of various angles can be easily formed by receiving the side end of the temporary panels on one side and the other side with these receiving portions.

In addition, because the corner members for temporary enclosures of the present invention are erected between temporary panels, there is almost no gap between them, making it possible to form a corner section that looks good in appearance.

Here, in one preferred embodiment of the second invention, the first receiving portion may be configured to be able to receive side ends of both an upper panel member and a lower panel member of the temporary panel.
This allows the temporary panels to be supported more stably.

In addition, in one preferred embodiment of the second invention, the second receiving portion may be provided at an end of the second pole member corresponding to one end of the corner member, and the third receiving portion may be provided at an end of the third pole member corresponding to the other end of the corner member.
In this case too, the support of the temporary panels can be made more stable.

The present invention allows corners of various angles to be formed, and because there are almost no gaps between the temporary panels, it is easy to form corners that look good in appearance.

The following describes an embodiment of the present invention with reference to the drawings.

Temporary fences and panels
The temporary enclosure 1 used in the embodiment of the present invention is constructed by erecting a plurality of temporary panels 2, as shown in Fig. 1. As shown in Figs. 2 and 3, each temporary panel 2 comprises a lower panel member 3 made of metal, and an upper panel member 4 made of metal that is vertically slidable relative to the lower panel member 3. In the present invention, the material and specific configuration of the upper panel member 4 are not important as long as the upper panel member 4 is vertically slidable relative to the lower panel member 3, but in this embodiment, the following configuration will be given as an example and will be described. Note that in this embodiment, each temporary panel 2 has approximately the same shape, so one of them will be described.

In other words, the lower panel member 3 and upper panel member 4 in the temporary panel 2 used in this embodiment are both symmetrical and have roughly similar shapes, and as shown in FIG. 4, the upper panel member 4 is housed inside the lower panel member 3 to form a nested structure. As an example of the dimensions of the lower panel member 3 and upper panel member 4, the lower panel member 3 is approximately 2,200 mm in height and approximately 410 mm in width, and the upper panel member 4 is approximately 2,000 mm in height and approximately 407 mm in width. The reference symbols 3b and 4b are reinforcing members.

The lower panel member 3 and the upper panel member 4 are provided with an engagement receiving portion 3a and an engagement portion 4a, respectively, on the left and right sides. When the upper panel member 4 is housed inside the lower panel member 3, the engagement portion 4a of the upper panel member 4 is positioned within the engagement receiving portion 3a of the lower panel member 3, engaging both panel members 3 and 4 with each other, restricting the movement of the upper panel member 4 in the front-rear and left-right directions while allowing its movement in the up-down direction. This engagement relationship allows the upper panel member 4 to slide freely up and down relative to the lower panel member 3, which allows the temporary panel 2 to expand and contract in the up-down direction.

One surface of the engagement receiving portion 3a of the lower panel member 3 and one corresponding surface of the engagement portion 4a of the upper panel member 4 are provided with multiple fixing pin insertion holes 3c, 4c in the vertical direction, and the upper panel member 4 can be fixed in an appropriate position by sliding the upper panel member 4 to align the fixing pin insertion holes 3c, 4c of both panel members 3, 4 and then inserting a fixing pin (not shown in Figure 2, but the same shape as the fixing pin 17 shown in Figure 9) through it. This makes it possible to hold the extended state of the upper panel member 4 in an appropriate position.

The temporary panel 2 is erected so that the flat surface located at the top in Figures 3(A) and (B) faces the outside of the renovation site (i.e., the side where an unspecified number of passersby other than those involved in the construction work pass by).

The temporary panels 2 constructed in this way can be connected horizontally by the connector 6. As shown in Figure 5, the connector 6 is roughly C-shaped in cross section, with a hole 6a on its surface and a nut 6b welded concentrically around the hole 6a. Then, as shown in Figure 6, the connector 6 is fitted over both sides of adjacent temporary panels 2, 2, and a wing bolt 6c is screwed into the nut 6b and tightened, thereby connecting the adjacent temporary panels 2, 2.

In this embodiment, the lower panel members 3, 3 of adjacent temporary panels 2 are connected to each other, but this is not necessarily limited to this. The connector 6 may connect adjacent lower panel members 3, 3 to each other, or may connect adjacent upper panel members 4, 4 to each other. In the former case, adjacent engagement receiving portions 3a, 3a are connected to each other, and in the latter case, the engagement portions 4a, 4a exposed to the outside are connected to each other by extending the upper panel member 4.

When erecting such a temporary panel 2, runners (receiving members) 7 and 8 that are U-shaped in cross section are fixed to the floor and ceiling surfaces, and the upper and lower ends of the temporary panel 2 are fitted into the grooves of these runners 7 and 8, allowing the panel to stand on its own without the use of any special support members.

One side of the temporary enclosure 1 is formed in the manner described above, and the corner member of the present invention is used to connect the side formed in this manner to another side formed in a similar manner.
Hereinafter, an embodiment of the corner member according to the present invention will be described.

First Embodiment
7 and 8, the temporary enclosure corner member 10 of the first embodiment includes a cylindrical hollow first pole member 11 and a cylindrical hollow second pole member 12 that can slide in the axial direction from one end of the first pole member 11 and can rotate about the axial center. Specifically, the second pole member 12 is inserted into the upper end opening of the first pole member 11, and is configured to be expandable and rotatable about the axial center by sliding it in the axial direction from the upper end of the first pole member 11. In this embodiment, both the first pole member 11 and the second pole member 12 are made of metal pipe members, and the former is configured to have a larger diameter than the latter so that the second pole member 12 can be inserted inside the first pole member 11.

The first pole member 11 in the first embodiment has approximately the same length (height) as the lower panel member 3 of the temporary panel 2 (approximately 2,200 mm), and the first receiving portion 11a, which is U-shaped in cross section and has approximately the same length as its axial length, is fixed over its entire length by welding or the like. This first receiving portion 11a is configured with a size and dimensions that can receive the side end of the lower panel member 3 (specifically, the side end of the engagement receiving portion 3a), and by receiving the side end of the lower panel member 3 of the temporary panel 2 erected on one side (see Figure 9), it restricts the movement of the temporary panel 2 in the front-rear and left-right directions.

In this embodiment, the first receiving portion 11a is configured to be able to engage with the side end of the lower panel member 3. Specifically, the first receiving portion 11a is provided with two fixing pin insertion holes 11b, one at the top and one at the bottom, and the first receiving portion 11a can be engaged with the lower panel member 3 by inserting a fixing pin 17 through the fixing pin insertion holes 3c or 3d that are aligned with the fixing pin insertion holes 3c or 3d that are provided at the corresponding positions on the side end of the lower panel member 3. However, when engaging the two, it is not necessary to insert the fixing pin 17 through both the top and bottom fixing pin insertion holes 11b, and the fixing pin 17 may be inserted through only one of them.

On the other hand, the second pole member 12 in the first embodiment is formed to be slightly shorter than the length of the first pole member 11 (approximately 2,000 mm), and a second receiving portion 12a, which is U-shaped in cross section, is fixed to its upper end by welding or the like. This second receiving portion 12a is configured to have a size and dimensions that can receive the side end of the upper panel member 4 (specifically, the side end of the engagement portion 4a), and by receiving the side end of the upper panel member 4 of the temporary panel 2 erected on the other side, it is designed to restrict the movement of the temporary panel 2 in the front-rear and left-right directions. In this embodiment, this second receiving portion 12a is designed to receive the upper side end of the upper panel member 4.

In this embodiment, the second receiving portion 12a is configured to be able to be engaged with the side end of the upper panel member 4. Specifically, the second receiving portion 12a is provided with a fixing pin insertion hole 12b, which is aligned with a fixing pin insertion hole 4d provided at a corresponding position on the upper panel member 4 of the temporary panel 2 and then the fixing pin 17 is inserted through the hole, so that the second receiving portion 12a can be engaged with the upper panel member 4.

The temporary enclosure corner member 10 of the first embodiment configured as described above is used as follows (see Figure 9).

First, the temporary panels 2 that will form one side of the temporary enclosure 1 and the temporary panels 2 that will form the other side are erected using the method described above. At that time, each temporary panel 2 is extended to an appropriate length (height) to match the ceiling height of the renovation site. In addition, adjacent temporary panels 2 are connected to each other with connectors 6, except for the corners.

In this case, the corner member 10 of this embodiment is erected at a position that will become the corner of the temporary enclosure 1, and the first receiving portion 11a is fitted into the side end portion of the lower panel member 3 of the temporary panel 2 on one side, while the second pole member 12 is extended to match the extended state of the temporary panel 2, and the second receiving portion 12a is fitted into the upper side end portion of the upper panel member 4 of the temporary panel 2 on the other side.

Then, the fixing pin insertion hole 12b of the second receiving portion 12a is aligned with the fixing pin insertion hole 4d of the upper panel member 4, and both are fixed with the fixing pin 17. The fixing pin insertion hole 11b of the first receiving portion 11a is aligned with the fixing pin insertion holes 3c and 3d of the lower panel member 3, and both are fixed with the fixing pin 17. At this time, the fixing pin insertion hole 11b of the first receiving portion 11a is provided in two places, one above and one below, but only one of them may be fixed with the fixing pin 17. It can be appropriately selected whether to fix both of the two fixing pin insertion holes 11b, one above and one below, with the fixing pin 17, or to fix only one of them, or even not to fix them at all.

As a result of the above, the corner member 10 of this embodiment is interposed between the temporary panel 2 on one side and the temporary panel 2 on the other side, and the gap between the two temporary panels 2, 2 is almost completely filled.

In this embodiment, the second receiving portion 12a is fixed (engaged) to the upper panel member 4 by the fixing pin 17, thereby maintaining the extended state of the second pole member 12, and thereby preventing the second pole member 12 from contracting due to its own weight. However, the means for maintaining the extended state of the second pole member 12 is not limited to this, and for example, the second receiving portion 12a may only receive the upper panel member 4, and the second pole member 12 may be fixed to the first pole member 11 by another means (for example, fixing both pole members 11 and 12 themselves with a set screw, etc.).

The above also applies to the first receiving portion 11a. That is, in this embodiment, the first receiving portion 11a can be fixed (locked) to the lower panel member 3 by the fixing pin 17, but it is not necessary to fix (lock) the two together, and it is sufficient for the side end of the lower panel member 3 to simply be received by the first receiving portion 11a.

As described above, in this embodiment, the first pole member 11 and the second pole member 12 are rotatable relative to each other, so that a corner portion of an appropriate angle can be formed. In addition, since there is almost no gap between the temporary panels 2, a corner portion that looks good can be formed.

As can be seen from the above explanation, the corner member 10 for temporary fencing in the first embodiment does not have the function of maintaining the upright position of the temporary panel 2, and although the corner member 10 itself is engaged with the temporary panels 2, 2 on one side and the other side, it is merely placed between the two temporary panels 2, 2 and is intended solely to fill the gap. In other words, it is not self-supporting in itself. However, in relation to the scope of the claims, the corner member for temporary fencing itself may of course be configured to be self-supporting.

Second Embodiment
10 and 11, the temporary enclosure corner member 20 of the second embodiment includes a cylindrical hollow first pole member 21, a cylindrical hollow second pole member 22 that can slide in the axial direction from one end of the first pole member 21 and can rotate about the axis, and a cylindrical hollow third pole member 23 that can slide in the axial direction from the other end of the first pole member 21 and can rotate about the axis. Specifically, the second pole member 22 is inserted into the upper end opening of the first pole member 21, and is configured to be expandable and rotatable about the axis by sliding it in the axial direction from the upper end of the first pole member 21. The third pole member 23 is inserted into the lower end opening of the first pole member 21, and is configured to be expandable and rotatable about the axis by sliding it in the axial direction from the lower end of the first pole member 21. In this embodiment, the first pole member 21, the second pole member 22, and the third pole member 23 are all made of metal pipe members, and the first pole member 21 is configured to have a larger diameter than the second pole member 22 and the third pole member 23 so that the second pole member 22 and the third pole member 23 can be inserted into the first pole member 21 (on the other hand, the second pole member 22 and the third pole member 23 in this embodiment have the same diameter).

The first pole member 21 in the second embodiment has a length (height) slightly shorter than the lower panel member 3 of the temporary panel 2 (approximately 2,000 mm), and the first receiving portion 21a, which is U-shaped in cross section and has a length approximately equal to the axial length of the first pole member 21, is fixed over its entire length by welding or the like. This first receiving portion 21a is configured to a size and dimensions that can receive the side end of the upper panel member 4 (specifically, the side end of the engaging portion 4a) and the side end of the lower panel member 3 (specifically, the side end of the engaging receiving portion 3a), and by receiving the side ends of the upper panel member 4 and the lower panel member 3 of the temporary panel 2 erected on one side therein, it restricts the movement of the temporary panel 2 in the front-rear and left-right directions.

In this embodiment, the first receiving portion 21a is configured to be able to engage with the side ends of the upper panel member 4 and the lower panel member 3 (see FIG. 12). Specifically, the first receiving portion 21a has two fixing pin insertion holes 21b at the top and bottom, and the fixing pin 17 is inserted through the fixing pin insertion holes 21b after aligning them with the fixing pin insertion holes 4c and 3c provided at corresponding positions on the side ends of the upper panel member 4 and the lower panel member 3, so that the first receiving portion 21a can be engaged with the upper panel member 4 or the lower panel member 3. However, when engaging both, it is not necessary to insert the fixing pin 17 through both the upper and lower fixing pin insertion holes 21b, and the fixing pin 17 may be inserted through only one of them.

In the second embodiment, the second pole member 22 has a length (approximately 1,000 mm) that is approximately half the length of the first pole member 21, and a second receiving portion 22a that is U-shaped in cross section is fixed to its upper end by welding or the like. This second receiving portion 22a is configured to have a size and dimensions that can receive the side end of the upper panel member 4 (specifically, the side end of the engagement portion 4a), and by receiving the side end of the upper panel member 4 of the temporary panel 2 erected on the other side therein, it is designed to restrict the movement of the temporary panel 2 in the front-rear and left-right directions. In this embodiment, this second receiving portion 22a is designed to receive the upper side end of the upper panel member 4.

In this embodiment, the second receiving portion 22a is configured to be able to be engaged with the side end of the upper panel member 4. Specifically, the second receiving portion 22a is provided with a fixing pin insertion hole 22b, which is aligned with a fixing pin insertion hole 4d provided at a corresponding position on the upper panel member 4 of the temporary panel 2 and then the fixing pin 17 is inserted through the hole, so that the second receiving portion 22a can be engaged with the upper panel member 4.

Furthermore, the third pole member 23 in the second embodiment, like the second pole member 22, has a length of about half the length of the first pole member 21 (about 1,000 mm), and a third receiving portion 23a, which is U-shaped in cross section, is fixed to its lower end by welding or the like. This third receiving portion 23a is configured to have a size and dimensions that can receive the side end of the lower panel member 3 (specifically, the side end of the engagement receiving portion 3a), and by receiving the side end of the lower panel member 3 of the temporary panel 2 erected on the other side therein, it is designed to restrict the movement of the temporary panel 2 in the front-rear and left-right directions. In this embodiment, this third receiving portion 23a is designed to receive the lower side end of the lower panel member 3.

In this embodiment, the third receiving portion 23a is configured to be able to be engaged with the side end of the lower panel member 3. Specifically, the third receiving portion 23a is provided with a fixing pin insertion hole 23b, which is aligned with a fixing pin insertion hole 3d provided at a corresponding position on the side end of the lower panel member 3 and then the fixing pin 17 is inserted through the hole, so that the third receiving portion 23a can be engaged with the lower panel member 3.

As is clear from the above explanation, in the second embodiment of the corner member 20 for temporary enclosures, the side end of the temporary panel 2 on one side is received in the first receiving portion 21a, and the side end of the temporary panel 2 on the other side is received in the second receiving portion 22a and the third receiving portion 23a.

The temporary enclosure corner member 20 of the second embodiment configured as described above is used as follows (see Figure 12).

In this case, the corner member 20 of this embodiment is erected at a position that will become the corner of the temporary enclosure 1, and the first receiving portion 21a is fitted across each side end of the upper panel member 4 and the lower panel member 3 of the temporary panel 2 on one side, while the third receiving portion 23a is fitted into the lower side end of the temporary panel 2 on the other side. Also, the second pole member 22 and the third pole member 23 are extended in accordance with the extended state of the temporary panel 2, and the second receiving portion 22a is fitted into the upper side end of the upper panel member 4 of the temporary panel 2 on the other side.

Then, the fixing pin insertion hole 21b of the first receiving portion 21a is aligned with the fixing pin insertion holes 4c and 3c of the upper panel member 4 and the lower panel member 3 of the temporary panel 2 on one side, and both are fixed with the fixing pin 17. The fixing pin insertion hole 22b of the second receiving portion 22a is aligned with the fixing pin insertion hole 4d of the upper panel member 4 of the temporary panel 2 on the other side, and both are fixed with the fixing pin 17. Furthermore, the fixing pin insertion hole 23b of the third receiving portion 23a is aligned with the fixing pin insertion hole 3d of the lower panel member 3 of the temporary panel 2 on the other side, and both are fixed with the fixing pin 17. As a result, the corner member 20 of this embodiment is interposed between the temporary panel 2 on one side and the temporary panel 2 on the other side, and the gap between the two temporary panels 2, 2 is almost filled.

In this embodiment, the first receiving portion 21a is fixed (engaged) to the upper panel member 4 and the lower panel member 3 of the temporary panel 2 on one side by the fixing pin 17, thereby making it possible to maintain the extended state of the first pole member 21 (the extended state of the first pole member 21 relative to the third pole member 23), thereby making it possible to prevent the first pole member 21 from contracting due to its own weight.

The same is true for the second receiving portion 22a. In this embodiment, the second receiving portion 22a is fixed (engaged) to the upper panel member 4 of the other temporary panel 2 by the fixing pin 17, thereby making it possible to maintain the extended state of the second pole member 22 (the extended state of the second pole member 22 relative to the first pole member 21), thereby preventing the second pole member 22 from contracting due to its own weight.

However, the means for maintaining the first pole member 21 and the second pole member 22 in the extended state are not limited to such means. For example, the first receiving portion 21a and the second receiving portion 22a may simply receive the side ends of the corresponding upper panel member 4 and lower panel member 3, and the second pole member 22 may be fixed to the first pole member 21 and the first pole member 21 to the third pole member 23 by other means (for example, fixing the pole members to each other with set screws, etc.).

The above also applies to the third receiving portion 23a. That is, in this embodiment, the third receiving portion 23a can be fixed (locked) to the lower panel member 3 by the fixing pin 17, but it is not necessary to fix (lock) the two together, and it is sufficient for the side end of the lower panel member 3 to simply be received by the third receiving portion 23a.

As described above, in the second embodiment, the first pole member 21 and the second pole member 22, and the first pole member 21 and the third pole member 23 are inherently rotatable relative to each other, so corners of an appropriate angle can be formed. In addition, since there is almost no gap between the temporary panels 2, corners that look good can be formed.

Note that the corner member 20 for temporary fencing in the second embodiment, like the corner member 10 for temporary fencing in the first embodiment, does not have the function of maintaining the upright position of the temporary panel 2, and although the corner member 20 itself is engaged with the temporary panels 2, 2 on one side and the other side, it is merely placed between the two temporary panels 2, 2 and is intended solely to fill the gap. In other words, it is not self-supporting. However, in relation to the scope of the claims, the corner member for temporary fencing itself may of course be configured to be self-supporting.

<<Modification of Usage of Second Embodiment>>
The temporary enclosure corner member 20 of the second embodiment can also be used in a form as shown in Fig. 13. That is, the third receiving portion 23a may be adapted to receive the temporary panel 2 on the same side as the first receiving portion 21a. In this case, the first receiving portion 21a is fitted over the side end portion of the upper panel member 4 and the side end portion of the lower panel member 3 of the temporary panel 2 on one side, and the third receiving portion 23a is also fitted into the side end portion of the lower panel member 3 on the same side. Then, only the second receiving portion 22a is fitted into the side end portion of the upper panel member 4 of the temporary panel 2 on the other side.

Even in this usage mode, the temporary enclosure corner member 20 of the second embodiment is interposed between the temporary panels 2 on one side and the temporary panels 2 on the other side, and the gap between the two temporary panels 2, 2 is almost completely filled.
