Description
The present invention relates to a slurry dehydration device. More specifically, the present invention relates to a slurry dehydration device equipped with a filter cloth in the form of an endless belt that travels in a circular motion, and that has a function for detecting the deviation of the filter cloth.
A known slurry dewatering device for recovering solid particles in a slurry as a cake with a low moisture content is one that has a circulating endless belt-like filter cloth and a pair of dewatering rolls that sandwich the filter cloth (Patent Document 1).
In this slurry dewatering device, the slurry supplied onto the endless belt-like filter cloth is compressed and dewatered by a dewatering roll while the filter cloth is circulated. In this type of slurry dewatering device, the deviation of the filter cloth during circulation is usually corrected by a guider roll (see Patent Document 1). However, in a continuous operation state, the deviation of the filter cloth frequently changes depending on the usage situation and the supply state of the slurry, and there are cases where the deviation of the filter cloth during circulation exceeds a certain width.
If the deviation of the filter cloth during circulation exceeds a certain width and deviates from the original proper running path, wrinkles will occur in the filter cloth, and there is a risk that the filter cloth will break due to contact with surrounding structural parts. To prevent this, the slurry dewatering device controls the filter cloth to immediately stop running when the deviation width of the filter cloth reaches a certain width or more, thereby avoiding the above-mentioned danger. Therefore, in a slurry dewatering device equipped with a circulation-running endless belt-like filter cloth, it is essential to install a device that detects the deviation width of the filter cloth before it reaches a certain width or more (hereinafter, in this specification, devices with such a function will be collectively referred to as a "filter cloth deviation detection device").
This "filter cloth offset detection device" is also linked to an automatic filter cloth offset correction device that automatically corrects the offset of the filter cloth by moving the guider roll horizontally depending on the detected offset of the filter cloth, adjusting the angle between the axial direction of the guider roll and the running direction of the filter cloth to an angle greater than or less than a right angle. As a result, even if the offset of the filter cloth changes frequently due to the usage conditions and the supply state of the slurry as described above, the offset of the filter cloth is corrected in a timely manner, so it is possible to prevent the offset of the filter cloth during circulation from exceeding a certain width.
As the "filter cloth deviation detector" installed in the above-mentioned slurry dehydration device, a so-called contact type detector equipped with a movable detector plate that detects the position of the filter cloth by contacting the side edge of the filter cloth is widely used. This type of detector is excellent in that it can detect deviation reliably with a simple structure, but when the filter cloth is running at the appropriate position, the detector plate must always be in contact with the side edge of the filter cloth at the center of its movable range, so the installation position of the detector plate (the reference position at the start of operation) must be adjusted according to the change in the filter cloth width over time due to expansion, contraction, wear, etc. In particular, the filter cloth is often made of nonwoven fabric, and in a situation where tension is always applied by the operation of the slurry dehydration device, it gradually stretches. It also stretches by absorbing water. This means that the width of the filter cloth gradually narrows. Furthermore, the side edge of the filter cloth may fray with continued use. In that case, the side edge may be cut off at a certain width. In this way, the position of the detector plate is adjusted each time the width of the filter cloth narrows. The position adjustment of this detection plate is done manually, but to perform the work safely, it is necessary to temporarily stop the movement of the filter cloth and remove any safety fences placed around the filter cloth before performing the work. The complexity of this work is a factor in reducing the operating rate of the slurry dewatering equipment, and a solution to this problem was needed.
The present invention was developed in consideration of the above situation, and aims to make it possible to safely adjust the position of the detection plate of the "filter cloth offset detection device" in a slurry dewatering device having a circulating endless belt-like filter cloth without reducing the operating rate of the device.
As a result of extensive research into solving the above problems, the inventors discovered that the above problems could be solved by providing a filter cloth offset detection device with a position adjustment mechanism that moves the installation position of the detection plate back and forth in a direction perpendicular to the running direction of the filter cloth by rotating a rod-shaped screw part, and thus completed the present invention. Specifically, the present invention provides the following:
(1) A slurry dewatering device that has a filter cloth in the form of an endless belt that travels in a circulating manner, a pair of dewatering rolls that sandwich the filter cloth, and a filter cloth deviation detection device that detects the position of the side end of the filter cloth while traveling, and that squeezes and dewaters a slurry supplied onto the filter cloth with the dewatering rolls while traveling the filter cloth, the filter cloth deviation detection device having a movable detection plate that contacts the side end of the filter cloth to detect the position of the side end of the filter cloth, and a detection plate position adjustment mechanism that adjusts the installation position of the detection plate, and the detection plate position adjustment mechanism is a position adjustment mechanism that moves the installation position of the detection plate back and forth along the perpendicular direction by rotating a rod-shaped screw part that is installed along the perpendicular direction to the traveling direction of the filter cloth.
According to the slurry dewatering device of (1), the installation position can be moved back and forth in a direction perpendicular to the running direction of the filter cloth without touching the connecting rod of the detection plate or its fixing jig. In addition, since the mechanism allows the detection plate to be moved horizontally to any position by turning a screw, fine adjustment of the installation position is easy, and the detection plate can be placed in the desired position with high positional accuracy. Therefore, the position adjustment of the detection plate of the "filter cloth offset detection device" can be performed safely with high accuracy while avoiding a decrease in the operating rate of the slurry dewatering device.
(2) The slurry dewatering device according to (1), in which the slurry dewatering device is surrounded by a safety fence, the detection plate position adjustment mechanism has a handle portion connected to the screw portion and located outside the safety fence, and the screw portion can be rotated by rotating the handle portion.
According to the slurry dewatering device of (2), the position adjustment of the detection plate can be performed from outside the safety fence installed around the main body of the slurry dewatering device, without removing the safety fence. Therefore, the position adjustment of the detection plate of the "filter cloth offset detection device" can be performed extremely safely and with high precision while avoiding a decrease in the operating rate of the slurry dewatering device.
(3) A method for operating the slurry dewatering device described in (1) or (2), in which the operation of adjusting the installation position of the detection plate is performed while the filter cloth is traveling.
According to the operating method of the slurry dewatering device of (3), by using the dewatering device of (1) or (2), the position adjustment of the detection plate can be performed without stopping the movement of the filter cloth. Therefore, the operating rate of the slurry dewatering device can be maintained higher than before.
According to the present invention, in a slurry dewatering device having a circulating endless belt-like filter cloth, the position adjustment of the detection plate of the "filter cloth deviation detection device" can be performed safely without reducing the operating rate of the device.
The following describes a preferred embodiment of the slurry dewatering apparatus of the present invention. In general, the slurry dewatering apparatus is widely used in all industries that handle slurry, such as wastewater sludge treatment, food industry, and paper and pulp industry. For example, it is used in a zinc oxide ore manufacturing plant using the Weltz process as an apparatus for dewatering slurry-like crude zinc oxide dust from which impurities have been removed in a wet process to produce a cake-like crude zinc oxide cake. The slurry dewatering apparatus of the present invention can also be preferably applied to a zinc oxide ore manufacturing plant using the Weltz process. However, the present invention is not limited to the above embodiment. The slurry dewatering apparatus of the present invention can be widely applied to various manufacturing plants that perform a process of recovering solid particles in a slurry as a cake with a low moisture content, without being limited to the above embodiment.

<Slurry dewatering equipment>
[Basic configuration and basic operation]
A
The
The dewatering rolls 2 (21, 22) can also serve as drive rolls that drive the
In the
[Filter cloth offset detection device]
The
The
The filter cloth
As shown in FIG. 6, the detection plate
The filter cloth offset
