Description
The present invention relates to sliding parts. In particular, the present invention relates to a sliding component having a thermally sprayed coating that forms a sliding surface.
Sliding parts are required to have wear resistance and seizure resistance. In order to satisfy such requirements, sliding parts have been proposed in which the sliding surface with a mating part is made of a thermally sprayed coating (for example, Patent Documents 1 to 3).
Patent Document 1 proposes an engine crank bearing in which a thermal spray coating of a Cu--Pb--Sn alloy is formed by plasma spraying or the like.
Patent Document 2 proposes a connecting rod for a reciprocating engine in which a thermally sprayed coating of a Cu-Pb-Sn alloy is formed by plasma spraying or the like.
Patent Document 3 proposes a high-speed flame spraying method for forming a coating having wear resistance, seizure resistance, and compressive strength under high-speed rotation, high load, and no-lubrication conditions. This document proposes the use of a mixed powder containing a Cu-based lead bronze alloy powder and a Cu-based aluminum bronze alloy powder as a thermal spray raw material powder for forming a thermal spray coating on the surface of a thermally sprayed substrate. .
The thermal spray coatings proposed in Patent Documents 1 to 3 are all thermal spray coatings containing lead (Pb), and the inclusion of lead (Pb) ensures good sliding properties.
However, in recent years, there has been concern about the negative effects of lead (Pb) on the human body, and there has been a demand for lead-free materials in various fields.
Therefore, there is a need for sliding parts that have a thermal spray coating that does not contain lead and have excellent wear resistance and seizure resistance.
The inventors of the present invention have conducted extensive research to provide a sliding component that satisfies the above requirements, and have found that a thermal sprayed coating that does not contain lead and has a completely different structure from conventional ones has excellent wear resistance and anti-seizure properties. The present invention was completed based on the discovery that the present invention has the following properties.
(1) The sliding component of the present invention is a sliding component whose sliding surface is a thermal sprayed coating that does not contain lead and whose main component is a copper-tin alloy,
The above thermal spray coating is
A first layer A containing 0 to 2% by mass of oxygen;
A first B layer that has a higher oxygen content than the first A layer and contains 1 to 5% by mass of oxygen;
a second A layer that has a lower oxygen content than the first B layer and contains 0 to 2% by mass of oxygen;
a second B layer that has a higher oxygen content than the second A layer and contains 1 to 5% by mass of oxygen;
has a multilayer structure laminated in this order.
The above-mentioned sliding part does not contain lead and is provided with a thermal spray coating mainly composed of a copper-tin alloy.
The thermal spray coating has an A layer containing 0 to 2% by mass of oxygen and a B layer containing 1 to 5% by mass of oxygen.
Further, the thermal spray coating has a first A layer, a first B layer having a higher oxygen content than the first A layer, and a second B layer having a lower oxygen content than the first B layer. It has a multilayer structure in which the A layer and the second B layer, which has a higher oxygen content than the second A layer, are laminated in this order. Therefore, the B layer is a harder layer than the A layer, and the A layer has higher toughness than the B layer.
In a sliding component equipped with a thermal spray coating having such a multilayer structure, a layer A having relatively high toughness is interposed between layers B having relatively high hardness. Therefore, the sliding component has excellent wear resistance and seizure resistance.
(2) The surface hardness HV of the thermal spray coating in the sliding component is preferably 150 to 250 at 25°C.
If the hardness HV is too small, the sliding component may have poor durability against indentation loads. On the other hand, if the hardness HV is too large, the thermal sprayed coating will be brittle and will easily collapse when a strong impact is applied to the sliding component during use. Therefore, the hardness HV of the surface of the thermal sprayed coating at 25° C. is preferably within the above range.
(3) The surface hardness HV of the thermal spray coating in the sliding component is preferably 150 to 250 at 200°C.
Normally, the surface hardness of alloys decreases when the temperature rises, but with the above-mentioned thermal spray coating, the hardness HV can be maintained at a high value even at a high temperature of 200°C. The sliding surfaces of sliding parts may reach high temperatures during use, but with the above-mentioned thermal spray coating, the balance between durability and toughness can be maintained even if the surface temperature rises to 200°C.
According to the present invention, it is possible to provide a sliding component that has a thermal sprayed coating that does not contain lead and has excellent wear resistance and seizure resistance.

In order to investigate the details of the multilayer structure of the thermal spray coating of Example 1, component analysis of each layer was performed using EDX.
FIG. 5 is one of the SEM images (magnification: x1000) of a cross section along the thickness direction of the thermal sprayed coating formed in Example 1. When performing component analysis, select any six layers from among the layers corresponding to layer A and layer B in FIG. 5, and from the base material side, layer B1, layer A1, layer B2, layer A2, layer B3, Defining it as the A3 layer, the contents (% by mass) of oxygen, copper, and tin were measured for each layer. Moreover, the average value of five arbitrarily selected points within each layer was taken as the measured value.
Subsequently, a sample was taken out from the sprayed coating of Example 1, and its crystal structure was analyzed using an X-ray diffraction device (SmartLab, manufactured by Rigaku). As a result, the peak with the highest intensity among the multiple peaks appearing on the X-ray diffraction spectrum was the peak of the copper-tin alloy, confirming that the main component of the thermal sprayed coating of Example 1 was the copper-tin alloy. .
According to the analysis results of the thermal sprayed coating described above, the thermal sprayed coating formed in Example 1 contains 0 to 2% by mass of oxygen, an A layer mainly composed of a copper-tin alloy, and 1 to 5% by mass of oxygen. It has become clear that the film is composed of two or more alternately laminated B layers each containing a copper-tin alloy as a main component. In addition, the A1 layer has a lower oxygen content than the B1 layer directly below it, the B2 layer has a higher oxygen content than the A1 layer directly below it, and the A2 layer has a lower oxygen content than the B2 layer directly below it. It was revealed that the B3 layer had a higher oxygen content than the A2 layer immediately below it, and the A3 layer had a lower oxygen content than the B3 layer immediately below it.

(1) Surface hardness HV
The hardness HV (at 25° C. and 200° C.) of the surfaces of the thermal spray coatings formed in Example 1 and Comparative Example 1 and the surface of the base material of Comparative Example 2 was measured by the following method. The results are shown in Table 2.
The surface hardness HV was measured using a high temperature hardness measuring machine (QM manufactured by Nikon Corporation) under the condition of a measurement load of 300 g. Five measurement points were used, and the average value was taken as the measurement value.

To measure the porosity, black spots in the film in a cross-sectional film image (SEM-BEI image) observed at 500x magnification using a scanning electron microscope are regarded as pores, and the black spots are binarized to determine the pores. This was done by calculating the total area of the pores and dividing the total area of the pores by the total area of the film within the observation range.
