Description
The present invention relates to an oxygen absorber package comprising an oxygen absorber and a packaging material for housing the oxygen absorber, and to a food package.
For long-term preservation, quality maintenance, and freshness preservation of foods, oxygen absorbers are sometimes enclosed in food packaging containers. A typical oxygen scavenger takes the form of a liquid oxygen absorbing substance granulated together with a carrier and encapsulated in a packaging material. (For example,
Oxygen absorbers are included with foods in airtight packaging materials and gas barrier airtight packaging materials to prevent food oxidation, mold growth, etc. Depending on the form of the food, the oxygen absorber in the food packaging container may be in direct contact with the food, may be adhesively fixed to the food packaging container, or may be enclosed in a free state.
However, oxygen scavengers often contain metals and the like as reaction catalysts, and when they come into direct contact with food, there are risks such as discoloration of the food, deterioration of taste, and toxicity to the human body. Therefore, it is undesirable for the oxygen absorber to adhere to the surface of the air-permeable packaging material containing the oxygen absorber that comes into contact with the food.
Furthermore, if foreign matter adheres to the oxygen absorber during the oxygen absorber encapsulation process in a food manufacturer, it may cause foreign matter to be mixed into the food.
Furthermore, for foods that are powder-like or easily generate powder when handled, such as nuts, matcha, dashi, dried sardines, and dried bonito flakes, food-derived powder may adhere to the oxygen absorber package itself, causing consumers to This can cause soiling of hands when disposing of the oxygen absorber and the feeling of a foreign body when it is enclosed in food.
In view of the above problems, the present invention provides an oxygen absorber package and a food package that have a function of preventing food-derived powder from adhering to the outer layer of the package and have excellent oxygen absorption ability. The purpose is to

The sixth invention according to the present invention is
A food package comprising the oxygen absorber package and a food packaging container in which the oxygen absorber package is enclosed.
The oxygen absorber package of the present invention has a function of preventing powder from adhering to the outer layer, so there is a risk of contamination due to adhesion of the oxygen absorber when the oxygen absorber package is enclosed, as well as contamination of other foreign substances attached to the oxygen absorber package. , or can suppress the adhesion of the enclosed food to the oxygen absorber package, and has excellent oxygen absorption ability.
The basic structure of the present invention is such that an antistatic agent is added to the outer layer and a concavo-convex structure is formed by embossing in order to impart a powder adhesion prevention function to the oxygen absorber package.
The powder adhesion prevention function is a function that prevents the above-mentioned food-derived powder from adhering to the oxygen absorber. First, we investigated the mechanism related to powder adhesion.
There are three basic forces that cause powder to stick: van der Waals forces, electrostatic forces, and liquid bridging forces.
Van der Waals forces are attractive forces that act due to the movement of electrons within atoms. It is known that when the surface of the wall to which powder adheres is rough, the adhesion force of the powder decreases. Approximately, this is thought to be due to the fact that in the integral of the intermolecular force, there is no substance and only a gas portion is generated. This is considered to be essentially the same as the Cassie-Baxter theory, which is well known as the mechanism of water repellency at the liquid-solid interface. The Cassie-Baxter theory states that capillarity prevents the liquid from reaching the bottom of the groove, creating voids between the droplets.
Therefore, in order to reduce the van der Waals force, it is effective to form an uneven structure with a pitch smaller than the particle size of the powder. This is because the volume occupied by the powder is larger than the volume of the voids formed by the uneven structure formed on the outer layer, and a portion containing only gas is generated at the interface between the powder and the outer layer. This reduces van der Waals forces and reduces powder adhesion.
In the present invention, this uneven structure is formed as a protrusion structure described later.

The oxygen absorption capacity was evaluated as ○ (good) when the oxygen concentration after 24 hours was 0.1% or less, △ (acceptable) when it was less than 5%, and × (impossible) when it was 5% or more. The evaluation results are shown in Table 2 below.
From the results in Table 2, the oxygen absorption capacity of Examples 1 to 8 and Comparative Examples 1 to 5 is 0, and the oxygen absorption capacity decreases depending on the presence or absence of a protrusion structure on the surface of the packaging material or the presence or absence of an antistatic agent. There was nothing to do.

If the number of oxygen scavengers or potato starch attached in an area of 1.4 mm 2 is 0 to 3, it is acceptable, and if it is 3 or more, it is unacceptable, and if both the oxygen scavenger and potato starch are evaluated as acceptable. The powder adhesion prevention property of the oxygen absorber package was rated as 0, and if either or both were not possible, the powder adhesion prevention property was rated as ×.
The evaluation results are shown in Table 2.

From the results in Table 2, the powder adhesion prevention properties of the oxygen absorber packages of Examples 1 to 8 were all 0, indicating that good powder adhesion prevention properties were exhibited.
On the other hand, although the oxygen absorber packages of Comparative Examples 1 to 3 had protrusion structures formed on the outer layer, they did not exhibit powder adhesion prevention properties as well as Examples 1 to 8. This is considered to be because one of the conditions (a) to (c) regarding the protrusion structure described above was out of range.
Since Comparative Example 4 did not have a protrusion structure, it was thought that the powder adhered due to van der Waals force. Furthermore, since Comparative Example 5 did not contain an antistatic agent, it was thought that the powder adhered due to electrostatic force.
