Description
(1)無機絶縁材料からなる板状基材と、前記基材の表面に配置された複数の金属粒子とを備えるメタリック塗料用フィラーであって、前記金属粒子間には隙間があり、前記金属粒子の平均粒径が5nm~200nmである、メタリック塗料用フィラー。
(2)前記金属粒子を構成する金属が、Ag、Al、Au、Ti、Cr、Mn、Fe、Ni、Cu、Zn、Zr、Nb、Mo、In、Co及びSnから選択される少なくとも1種である、前記(1)に記載のメタリック塗料用フィラー。
(3)前記金属粒子を構成する金属がAlである、前記(2)に記載のメタリック塗料用フィラー。
(4)前記板状基材がマイカ又はガラスである、前記(1)~(3)のいずれかに記載のメタリック塗料用フィラー。
(5)無機絶縁材料からなる板状基材の表面に複数の金属粒子を配置することを含む、前記(1)~(4)のいずれかに記載のメタリック塗料用フィラーの製造方法。
実施例1
板状基材としてマイカ(平均粒径11μm、厚さ0.1μm)を用いた。図2に、板状基材として用いたマイカ単体の走査電子顕微鏡(SEM)画像を示す。
ミリ波透過性
実施例1のフィラー、アクリル樹脂とイソシアネートを混合して、メタリック塗料を調製した。得られたメタリック塗料を基材に塗布し、乾燥して基材上に塗膜を形成させた。塗膜を形成した基材のミリ波減衰量を測定した。比較例として、基材に従来のメタリック塗料を塗布したもの(比較例1)を調製した。従来のメタリック塗料としては、高輝度Alフレーク、アクリル樹脂とイソシアネートを含むものを用いた。ミリ波減衰量は、ホーンアンテナを有するミリ波特性測定装置を用いて、一方向減衰量測定を行い、得られた測定値を2倍にすることで求めた。具体的には、送信側のホーンアンテナからミリ波を測定サンプルに照射し、サンプルを通過して受信側のホーンアンテナに入射するミリ波の強度を測定して、一方向の減衰量を決定した。送信側と受信側のホーンアンテナ間の距離は95cmとした。サンプルは、送信側のホーンアンテナに対する仰角を17°とし、サンプルと送信側のホーンアンテナ間の距離を約40mmとして設置した。図4に、実施例1、比較例1及び基材のみの場合のミリ波減衰量を示す。図4において、ミリ波減衰量の値が小さい程、ミリ波透過性に優れる。図4に示されるように、本発明のフィラーを用いた実施例1では、従来のメタリック塗料を用いた比較例1と比較してミリ波透過性が大幅に向上し、基材のみの場合と比較してもほぼ同等のミリ波透過性を示した。
図5に、実施例1で得られた複数のフィラーの実体顕微鏡画像を示す。図5に示されるように、実施例1のフィラーは高輝度であり、優れた金属光沢を示した。

Claims (3)
- 無機絶縁材料からなる板状基材と、前記基材の表面に配置された複数の金属粒子とを備えるメタリック塗料用フィラーであって、前記金属粒子間には隙間があり、前記金属粒子の平均粒径が5nm~200nmであり、前記金属粒子を構成する金属がAlである、メタリック塗料用フィラー。
- 前記板状基材がマイカ又はガラスである、請求項1に記載のメタリック塗料用フィラー。
- 無機絶縁材料からなる板状基材の表面に複数の金属粒子を配置することを含む、請求項1又は2に記載のメタリック塗料用フィラーの製造方法。
