Description
The present invention relates to cooling devices and structures.
In recent years, batteries have attracted attention as a power source for electric vehicles and the like. It is known that a high-power, large-capacity battery generates a large amount of heat during charging and discharging processes, and this heat causes deterioration of the battery. Therefore, the battery requires a cooling system.
Further, heat countermeasures have conventionally been regarded as important for electronic parts mounted with semiconductor elements which are heat generating elements. In particular, with the recent trend toward miniaturization and high-density mounting of electronic components, and the increasing speed of microprocessors, the power consumption per electronic component has increased significantly, making an efficient cooling system important. It's becoming
2. Description of the Related Art In recent years, liquid cooling systems have been adopted as cooling systems for heat-generating bodies such as batteries and electronic parts. In a liquid cooling system, a metal plate containing a flow path for circulating a coolant, a so-called cold plate, is brought into contact with a heating element. The heating element is cooled by transporting it to a heat radiation side heat sink provided outside (see, for example, Patent Document 1).
Patent Document 1 discloses a battery block in which a plurality of battery cells are arranged with spacers interposed between the battery cells, and end plates are arranged at both ends in the arrangement direction, wherein the arrangement of the plurality of battery cells a cooling plate extending in a direction and in contact with one surface of each of the battery cells directly or via a heat conductive layer, the cooling plate having a thickness extending in the direction in which the plurality of battery cells are arranged A battery block is disclosed that has a cooling through-hole that is a hollow portion of the thick portion and through which a coolant flows.
Also known is an electronic device equipped with a plurality of electronic components in order to guarantee operation in the event that an electronic component such as an integrated circuit fails or to achieve higher performance. Regarding a liquid cooling method for an electronic device equipped with a plurality of electronic components, a method is disclosed in which a coolant that has passed through an electronic component cooling jacket on the upstream side flows into an electronic component cooling jacket on the downstream side (for example, Patent Document 2: reference).
However, in the method of simultaneously liquid cooling a plurality of heat generating elements as disclosed in
In other words, in the conventional technology, there is room for improvement in terms of improving the cooling efficiency of a plurality of heat generating elements in a cooling device that liquid-cools a plurality of heat generating elements at the same time.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION The present invention has been made in view of the above circumstances, and provides a cooling device capable of liquid cooling a plurality of heat generating elements simultaneously and improving cooling efficiency of the plurality of heat generating elements.

An embodiment of the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings. Also, the drawings are schematic diagrams and do not correspond to actual dimensional ratios. Unless otherwise specified, "~" between numbers in the text represents the above to the following.
The cooling device according to the present embodiment includes a
Here, in the cooling device according to the present embodiment, the

Here, the
As shown in FIG. 2, the
Also, the third channel unit 4 and the fourth channel unit 5 are arranged in series.

FIG. 6 is a perspective view schematically showing an example of the structure of the
In the cooling device according to the present embodiment, as shown in FIG. 6, at the branch point, the
In the prior art related to cooling devices (for example, cooling jackets and cold plates) for cooling the heating element, the
In the cooling device according to the present embodiment, as shown in FIG. 7, the refrigerant from the
As a specific structure of the tapered portion C (19) in which the cross-sectional area of the flow path A decreases toward the outlet of the flow path A, when the flow path cross section is square, it is formed in the
Since the flow path A has a structure including a tapered portion C (19) in which the cross-sectional area of the flow path A decreases toward the outlet of the flow path A, The flow ratio of
As a result of this control, the amount of refrigerant flowing into the second
Here, the present inventors found that when the tapered portion C(19) is provided, the maximum flow velocity and the average flow velocity of the refrigerant to the second
In this embodiment, it is preferable that both the
The aspect of the structure in which the flow path (A) includes the tapered portion C (19) is not particularly limited, and for example, a mode in which the flow path narrows in proportion to the amount of movement in the forward direction, or a cross-sectional area halfway in the forward direction. There is no change in the flow path, and the flow path narrows in a tapered shape from a certain point. In such an embodiment, it is preferable that the narrowest portion of the tapered portion C (19) is the outlet of the flow path A, that is, the refrigerant
In the present embodiment, the entire flow path A is tapered in an aspect that narrows in proportion to the amount of movement in the forward direction from the ease of molding work for providing the flow path of the above aspect to the
In FIG. 7, a side surface (a) 86 (inner side of the resin flow channel 8) forming the flow channel is tapered toward the opposite side surface (b) 87 (outer edge side of the resin flow channel 8). It is the image figure which showed the aspect which gradually decreased the cross-sectional area of a flow path (A) by arrange|positioning.

In the present embodiment, the flow path B is a comb-tooth shape composed of a forward manifold portion and a reverse manifold formed at the edges of two opposing sides, and a plurality of linear flow paths arranged between the two manifolds. A flow channel system, a refrigerant inlet is formed at one end of the meandering flow channel, and a refrigerant branch port to the adjacent second flow channel unit is formed on the opposite side of the first straight flow channel forming the meandering flow channel. A meandering flow path system, which has been proposed, can be cited as a preferred embodiment.
In the comb-tooth-shaped channel according to the present embodiment, as will be described later, the threshold height, threshold width, and channel width of a plurality of comb-tooth-shaped channels branched from the forward manifold are determined by the heating element to be cooled.

As the adhesive used in the above joining means, known natural adhesives and synthetic adhesives can be used without limitation, but synthetic adhesives are preferred from the viewpoint of durability of adhesive force.
Synthetic adhesives can be classified into thermoplastic adhesives, thermosetting adhesives, and elastomers, and thermosetting adhesives are preferred from the viewpoint of adhesive strength. The thermosetting adhesive may be a room temperature reactive adhesive (one-liquid type) or a heat-curable adhesive (two-liquid type).
What kind of adhesive to use is a matter for those skilled in the art to arbitrarily determine depending on circumstances such as what kind of material the cooling device is to be formed from and what characteristics it has.

Although the present invention does not limit the structure of the channels in the channel unit, a preferred example is a forward manifold and a reverse manifold in which the coolant channels formed inside are formed on two sides facing each other. , a method consisting of multiple channels arranged in both manifolds (in the following explanation, it may be referred to as a "comb tooth type channel method"), and a meandering single refrigerant channel formed inside (in the following description, this may be referred to as a "meandering flow path system").
Further, examples of other structure of the channel in the channel unit include structures (a) to (e) shown in FIG. 9, for example. In FIGS. 9A to 9E, the channel on the right end is the channel A, and the other channels are the channels B. As shown in FIG.
