Description
TECHNICAL FIELD The present invention relates to a glitter gravure ink, its printed matter, and a laminate.
More specifically, the present invention relates to a glitter gravure ink having glitter printed matter, a printed matter thereof, and a laminate.
In general, sheets with a metallic design include films that are vapor-deposited with metal, films that are laminated with polymers with different refractive indices to achieve interference reflection of visible light to achieve metallic luster, and metallic luster. There are various things that can be obtained by making ink using fragments and printing them on film. Among them, the method of converting a metal piece into ink and printing is attracting attention as a practical means because it is simple and can be finished at a low cost. For example, in order to increase the dispersibility of the metal pieces when making an ink, various methods have been used, such as applying some kind of treatment to the metal surface or defining the resin that becomes the base of the ink (Patent Document 1, 2).
However, even if the inks described in Patent Documents 1 and 2 are used, it is difficult to obtain a printed material with metallic luster and glitter such as specular reflection, such as a metal deposition film or a multilayer structure film. However, there was a problem that the brightness of the image was dull and the printed surface fluctuated.
In the evaluation of brilliance, in addition to the conventional visual sensory evaluation, image clarity, which expresses the degree to which the image of an object reflected on the sample surface can be seen clearly and without distortion, An index called diffusivity has been proposed, which quantifies the angular distribution of reflected light intensity, which indicates how much light is reflected in which direction when the light is incident. That is, dullness in brightness and fluctuation in the printed surface as described above are reflected in the image clarity and diffusion.
An object of the present invention is to provide a glittering gravure ink, a printed matter, and a laminate having excellent glittering properties.
As a result of intensive studies to achieve the above objects, the present inventors have found that the above problems can be solved by using the glitter gravure ink described below, and have completed the present invention.

Embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail below with reference to examples. Not limited. Hereinafter, "glittering gravure ink" may be simply referred to as "ink", but has the same meaning.

<Binder resin>
The ink of the present invention contains a binder resin. The binder resin means a binder resin in the ink of the present invention, and is preferably a thermoplastic resin soluble in an organic solvent. Inclusion of a binder resin not only makes it easier to retain the luster pigment in the coating film, but also improves the adhesion between the ink and the substrate.
In the present invention, the acid value of the binder resin is 1.5 mgKOH/g or less. When the acid value is 1.5 mgKOH/g or less, a synergistic effect is produced with the specific flaky luster pigment described later, and the image clarity and diffusivity of the printed matter are improved. This is correlated with the fact that the flaky luster pigment is thinly uniformly and flatly oriented on the surface of the printed material, and the lower the acid value, the more incompatible the flaky luster pigment is with the binder resin in the ink. For this reason, it is considered that a thin, uniform and flat orientation tends to occur in the process of forming a dry film, and as a result, image clarity and diffusivity are improved when a specific flaky luster pigment is used. The acid value is more preferably 1 mgKOH/g or less.
Examples of binder resins include, but are not limited to, urethane resins, cellulose resins, polyamide resins, vinyl chloride-vinyl acetate copolymer resins, vinyl chloride-acrylic copolymer resins, rosin resins, ethylene. - Vinyl acetate copolymer resin, vinyl acetate resin, acrylic resin, styrene resin, styrene-maleic acid copolymer resin, polyester resin, alkyd resin, ketone resin, butyral, polyacetal resin, petroleum resin, modified resins thereof, etc. can be mentioned. Within this range, it acts synergistically with the binder resin having an acid value of 1.5 mgKOH/g or less, and the orientation of the flaky luster pigment is easily aligned, so irregular reflection is less likely to occur, resulting in good luster.
The flaky luster pigments used in the present invention are preferably metals such as aluminum, indium, silver, copper, nickel, titanium and chromium. Examples of methods for forming flaky luster pigments include pulverization of metal powder, pulverization of metal foil, pulverization of metal thin films obtained by metal vapor deposition, sputtering, etc., and pulverization of metal thin films obtained by metal vapor deposition. Those obtained by
Among the above metals, aluminum is preferable because it is inexpensive and provides good luster, and vapor-deposited aluminum pigments are preferably used. Vapor-deposited aluminum pigments can be obtained, for example, by peeling off a metal thin film formed by vacuum-depositing aluminum or an alloy thereof on a plastic film from the plastic film, and pulverizing and stirring the peeled metal thin film. By doing so, it becomes a very thin film and becomes easy to orient uniformly, so that it acts synergistically with the binder resin having an acid value of 1.5 mgKOH/g or less, and high brightness can be obtained.
In one embodiment, the vapor-deposited aluminum pigment is preferably unsurface-treated. The term "surface treatment" as used herein means a treatment of coating the pigment surface with resin, silica, or the like. Since the surface is not treated, the brilliance becomes better.
On the other hand, when the printed matter requires resistance such as water resistance and alkali resistance, it is preferable to use a vapor-deposited aluminum pigment surface-treated with silica. As described above, although the brilliance is slightly lower than that of non-surface-treated materials, the durability is significantly improved, so it is preferable to use them properly depending on the application.
The content of the flaky bright pigment in the bright gravure ink is 30 to 400% by mass, and 100 to 350% by mass, based on the total mass of the solid content of the binder resin, from the viewpoint of achieving both image clarity and diffusivity. %, more preferably 155 to 300% by mass, and when it is 165 to 280% by mass, not only the image clarity and diffusivity will be highly evaluated, but also the aging stability and printability of the ink will be good. and is particularly preferred.
<Alkoxysilane>
The glitter gravure ink of the present invention can contain an alkoxysilane. The alkoxy group of the alkoxysilane is hydrolyzed to form a silanol and forms a hydrogen bond with the hydroxyl group on the surface of the flaky bright pigment. Furthermore, dehydration condensation occurs due to the heat of drying during printing, and bonds with the flaky luster pigment through stronger chemical bonds. As a result, the compatibility between the flaky bright pigment and the binder resin decreases, and the flaky bright pigment tends to be oriented in the process of forming a dry film, which is thought to improve image clarity and diffusivity.
Alkoxysilanes include methoxysilane, ethoxysilane, and the like. Silane coupling agents having reactive groups such as epoxy groups and methacrylic groups are also suitable.
<Organic solvent>
The glitter gravure ink of the present invention can contain an organic solvent. Organic solvents used include aromatic organic solvents such as toluene and xylene, ketone organic solvents such as methyl ethyl ketone and methyl isobutyl ketone, ethyl acetate, n-propyl acetate, isopropyl acetate, isobutyl acetate, ester organic solvents, methanol, Known organic solvents such as alcoholic organic solvents such as ethanol, n-propanol, isopropanol, n-butanol, ethylene glycol monopropyl ether, propylene glycol monomethyl ether can be used, and they may be mixed and used. Among them, organic solvents (non-toluene organic solvents) such as toluene and xylene that do not contain aromatic organic solvents are preferable from the viewpoint of environmental friendliness.
In the present invention, the orientation of the luster pigment during the drying and curing of the ink film is important for the expression of luster, and the drying property (boiling point) of the organic solvent contained in the ink also affects it. It is thought that there is The term "organic solvent" as used herein includes the organic solvent used for dissolving the binder resin and dispersing the pigment.
In particular, when the pigment ratio of the ink is high, from the viewpoint of preventing blurring of the printed surface without increasing the drying speed too much, and from the viewpoint of appropriately orienting the luster pigment and improving the luster, an organic solvent with a low boiling point It is preferable to contain both a (fast-acting solvent) and an organic solvent having a high boiling point (slow-acting solvent). If the organic solvent in the ink is only a fast-release solvent, it is possible to use a slow-release solvent as a diluent during printing. and a slow solvent are preferably contained together.
