Description
The present invention relates to a terminal device, an analysis method, and a program.
A PON (Passive Optical Network) system adopts a format in which terminal units (ONUs: Optical Network Units) of a plurality of users are connected to one optical line and used in a time-sharing manner. It has the function of transmitting and receiving optical signals. In particular, in a user optical module mounted on an OLT (Optical Line Terminal), since ONUs of multiple users are connected to one PON optical line, its failure will stop communication of multiple users. Therefore, there is a demand for improved reliability.
In addition, each disclosure of the above prior art documents is incorporated into this document by reference. The following analysis was made by the inventors.
In order to improve the reliability, a solution has been proposed, for example, as disclosed in
However, in the current 10GEPON (Gigabit Ethernet-Passive Optical Network) system, a standardized management interface function is used for state management of the XFP (10 Gigabit Small Form Factor Pluggable) module of the OLT and the optical interface of the ONU. However, regarding the failure judgment of the optical interface section, it is determined whether the optical level is within the threshold value using the optical transmission/reception level management function, and hardware failure of each optical module. , and there is a problem that it is impossible to detect a premonitory state leading to a failure.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION Accordingly, an object of the present invention is to provide a termination device, an analysis method, and a program that contribute to detecting signs of failure in an optical interface section in an optical communication line.

In addition, the same code|symbol is attached|subjected to the same component in each embodiment, and the description is abbreviate|omitted.
[First Embodiment]
An example of the configuration of the terminal device according to the first embodiment is the same as that shown in FIG. As shown in FIG. 1, the
The “predetermined period” may be an arbitrary period, but it is most suitable for the
The length of the predetermined period may be variable. For example, the default value is set to acquire the line status data every week, and if any abnormality is detected, the acquisition period may be shortened every day or every hour.
In the terminating
“Paired” means that the line status data at both ends of a line for transmitting and receiving data, or at the beginning and end of a section are acquired in association with each other. In this case, as viewed from the
The

[Explanation of effect]
By accumulating and analyzing the line status data of the transmitting side and the receiving side as a pair by the terminal device according to the first embodiment, it is possible to simply monitor the single device provided by the standardized management interface function. It is possible to detect failures and signs of failures in network equipment and lines by conducting comprehensive analysis from multiple perspectives, such as changes in long-term line status data, in addition to detecting failures, etc. .
[Second embodiment]
In the second and subsequent embodiments, the configuration and operation when the terminal device (OLT) of the above embodiments is applied to an optical fiber line, particularly a PON system, will be described.

FIG. 4 is a diagram showing an outline of a PON system including a terminal device (OLT) of this embodiment. The PON system includes an optical fiber connecting the
In the GEPON system, as shown in FIG. 4, an electrical signal for PON communication controlled by the
In each user's communication terminal (ONU), similarly, a function that can collect data using DMI (Diagnostic Monitoring Interface) standardized by MSA's SFP+ standard SFF-8431 and its management interface standard SFF-8472 was implemented and collected. Data such as the optical transmission/reception level can be put on the PON management protocol and sent to the OLT side, and the data of each ONU can be collected by the

FIG. 5 shows the configuration of the terminal device (OLT) of this embodiment. The
The frequency of collecting the status is assumed to be, for example, every 2 hours, but may be either a fixed period or an irregular period.

FIG. 6 shows an example of optical transmission/reception level analysis between the XFP and the ONU. XFP-TX, XFP-RX, and XFP-RX* are part of the data collected from the XFP type optical module (XFP-RX* is the reception level when no signal is received), and ONU-RX , ONU-TX are part of the data collected from the SFP optical module of the ONU. The ONU status is collected for each ONU, but data for each ONU is not described separately in FIG. In addition, in order to monitor the transmission/reception pair signal, the downstream signal level difference, the upstream signal level difference, and the value obtained by dividing the downstream signal level difference by the wavelength loss (for example, 0.3) and the upstream signal level difference are used. The level difference between the upper and lower level signals, which is the difference between the values divided by the loss of the wavelength (for example, 0.4), is calculated and stored.
Note that the data described in a range such as +2 to +4 indicates that the data for a certain period of time varies (actually, for example, +2, +4, +2, etc. are stored each time they are collected). is being used).
In the case of the fiber NG of
FIG. 7 is a schematic diagram showing the optical reception level at the XFP of the OLT and the reception level at the SFP of each ONU. As shown in (A) of this figure, the optical reception level at the XFP of the OLT is generally almost constant due to fiber attenuation according to the distance to each ONU. Also, as shown in (B) of this figure, the optical reception level at the SFP of each ONU is also generally constant due to fiber attenuation according to the distance from each ONU. In the case of fiber NG of
The error correction status and distance information (the distance is calculated from the difference between the transmission time and the reception time) with each ONU managed by the PON system may also be stored and analyzed.
In the 10GEPON system, an FEC (Forward Error Correction) function can be set in the upward direction from ONU to XFP, and has a function of monitoring the error correction status. By adding the error correction status to the analysis as a quality index of optical communication, it can be used for predictive detection of XFP and ONU failure of each PON interface. For example, when the number of error corrections increases, it may be a sign of failure. Since the FEC function also has the aspect of ensuring the communication state when the received light level is low, it is possible to perform more appropriate sign detection by analyzing the correlation with the transmission and reception light level. Further, since the distance information is usually constant due to communication delay, if it changes in time series, it may be a sign of failure.
[Explanation of effect]
According to the terminal device (OLT) of this embodiment, by monitoring the collected state as a signal of each transmission/reception pair and analyzing using data for a certain period of time, the transmission level that cannot be judged as NG in the state collected each time , the reception level, and the sign of failure of the fiber can be detected. By comparing the detected failure signs with the states of other ONUs, it is possible to isolate problems in the trunk/branch portions of the optical fiber and to monitor the state of the receiving circuit of the XFP type optical module, especially the AGC function.
As described above, the terminal device (OLT) of the present embodiment can predict the failure of each optical interface unit before an XFP failure or an ONU failure occurs. Communication outages can be reduced.
