Description
The present invention relates to wireless communication systems and communication methods.
GPS(Global Positioning System)や、Bluetooth(登録商標)を用いた通信を行う機能を持つ発信機を固定位置に配置し、その発信機からの信号を受信することで自身の位置を特定する技術が知られている。 GPS (Global Positioning System) and a technology that locates its own position by placing a transmitter that has the function of communicating using Bluetooth (registered trademark) at a fixed position and receiving the signal from the transmitter. Are known.
For example,
However, although GPS can directly detect a position, it cannot be used indoors. Also, in order to specify its own position, its own terminal needs to be a parent device using Bluetooth. Specifically, when the master unit receives the signal, it identifies its own position from the position information of each transmitter held in advance, and transmits the identified information via the mobile phone line or Wi-fi (registered trademark) line. It must be used and sent to a designated location. Therefore, there is a high possibility that it is not suitable for specifying the position of a specific object from a predetermined remote location in, for example, a relatively large indoor area due to communication cost restrictions and communication facility restrictions.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION It is an object of the present invention to provide a wireless communication system and communication method capable of obtaining information for specifying the position of an object.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION Embodiments according to the present invention will be described in detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings. It should be noted that the present invention is not limited by this embodiment, and when there are a plurality of embodiments, a combination of each embodiment is also included. Further, in the following embodiments, the same parts are denoted by the same reference numerals, thereby omitting redundant explanations.
[Conventional technology]
First, in order to facilitate understanding of the present invention, a conventional wireless communication system for detecting the position of an object will be described using FIG. FIG. 1 is a diagram for explaining a conventional wireless communication system.
The
Each of the
The target device 4 is a communication device that performs short-range wireless communication. The target device 4, for example, among the transmitters 3.sub.1 to 3.sub.6 , receives a Bluetooth signal from a transmitter that has good communication quality and can be recognized. In the example shown in FIG. 1, the target device 4 receives, for example, a Bluetooth signal from the transmitter 33 , and transmits position information and the like to the master receiver 2 by short-range wireless communication.
Thus, the
Therefore, in the present embodiment, a wireless communication system that can specify the position of a specific target device is realized while configuring all wireless devices as short-range wireless communication devices.
[Embodiment]
A configuration of a wireless communication system according to an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIG. FIG. 2 is a diagram for explaining the configuration of the radio communication system according to the embodiment of the present invention.
As shown in FIG. 2, the
The
The short-range wireless communication range of the handset 30-1 is range R11. The short-range wireless communication range of the handset 302 is range R12.
Each of child device 30-1 and child device 30-2 broadcasts a signal including at least its own identification information as transmission information to range R11 and range R12 when a predetermined condition is satisfied. Here, if time information or time information such as a time stamp unifiedly managed by the system can be obtained in the transmitting slave device, the time information should be included in the transmission information. In the following description, it is assumed that the time information can be acquired. In addition, the transmission information may include information on the transmission frequency, output power, transmission antenna gain, and reception antenna gain of the child device. If the above-described information cannot be obtained by the transmitting slave device, the master device may be configured to detect the position using a predetermined device. Furthermore, if information about spatial propagation loss, loss due to surrounding buildings, etc. can be acquired as environment information around the child device, it may be included in the transmission information. By including the above-described information in the transmission information, the base unit can detect the position with high accuracy. The predetermined condition is a condition under which it is determined that the child device 30-1 and the child device 30-2 are lost. The predetermined condition may be, for example, no operation for a certain period of time or no change in ambient brightness for a certain period of time. Further, the predetermined condition is that when the child device 30-1 and the child device 30-2 are communication devices attached to a predetermined place, the ambient brightness, sound volume, and other conditions are different from normal conditions. may be the case. Further, the predetermined condition may be that there is no movement for a certain period of time when the child device 30-1 and the child device 30-2 are mobile communication devices. The predetermined conditions are not limited to these, and may be other cases.
Child devices 30-3 , 30-4 , and 30-6 are positioned within range R11. The child device 30-3 , the child device 30-4 , and the child device 30-6 receive the radio signal including the transmission information transmitted by the child device 30-1 . The child devices 30-3 , 30-4 , and 30-6 each determine the signal strength of the radio signal received from the child device 30-1 . Each of the handset 303 , the handset 304 , and the handset 306 includes the determined signal strength, its own identification information, and time information in the radio signal received from the handset 301 . Updates the outgoing information by adding it to the incoming information. The child device 303 , the child device 304 , and the child device 306 each broadcast a signal containing the updated transmission information. After that, each slave unit that has received the radio signals transmitted by the slave units 303 , 304 , and 306 includes the signal strength, its own identification information, and time information as transmission information. After appending and updating, it broadcasts a signal containing the updated originating information. In the
Within R12, which is the communication range of the child device 30-2 , the
A route from the target device to the parent device will be described with reference to FIG. FIG. 3 is a diagram for explaining the route from the target device to the parent device.
FIG. 3 shows the route from the slave device 301 to the
As shown in FIG. 3, transmission information from the child device 30-1 reaches the

The transmission information via the second path includes the signal strength when the child device 30-3 receives the wireless signal from the child device 30-1 and the signal strength when the child device 30-4 receives the wireless signal from the child device 30-3 . and signal strength when handset 30-5 receives a radio signal from handset 30-4 . The transmission information via the third path includes the signal strength when the child device 30-6 receives the wireless signal from the child device 30-1 and the signal strength when the child device 30-7 receives the wireless signal from the child device 30-6 . strength and. In other words,
The transmission information included in the signal received by the parent device will be described with reference to FIG. FIG. 4 is a diagram for explaining transmission information included in a signal received by the parent device.
As shown in FIG. 4, when managing transmission information in the parent device, "route name", "route", "first signal strength", "second signal strength", and "third signal strength" You may manage by items, such as ".
"Route name" is information for identifying a route. The "route name" may be information such as the first route, the second route, and the third route, for example. Alternatively, route names may be managed by index numbers.
"Route" is information about the child device via which from the child device 301 to the parent device. In terms of the first route, it is preferable to indicate that it has passed through the child devices 30-4 and 30-5 . In terms of the second route, it is preferable to indicate that it has passed through child devices 30-3 , 30-4 , and 30-5 . In terms of the third route, it is preferable to indicate that it has passed through the child devices 30-6 and 30-7 . Information on this route may be displayed by identifying the child device name from the identification information of the child device.
The "first signal strength" indicates the signal strength when the handset 30-4 receives the radio signal from the handset 30-1 in terms of the first path. The "first signal strength" indicates the signal strength when the handset 30-3 receives the radio signal from the handset 30-1 in terms of the second path. The "first signal strength" indicates the signal strength when the handset 30-6 receives the radio signal from the handset 30-1 in terms of the third route. Specifically, the "first signal strength" is "3/10" for the first route.
“Second signal strength” indicates the signal strength when the handset 30-5 receives the radio signal from the handset 30-4 in terms of the first path. “Second signal strength” indicates the signal strength when the child device 30-4 receives the radio signal from the child device 30-3 in terms of the second path. “Second signal strength” indicates the signal strength when the child device 30-7 receives the radio signal from the child device 30-6 in terms of the third route. Specifically, the "second signal strength" is "6/10" for the first route.
The "third signal strength" indicates the signal strength when the child device 30-5 receives the signal from the child device 30-4 in terms of the second path. Specifically, the "third signal strength" is "6/10" in terms of the second route. In the first route and the second route, the transmission information does not include the signal strength because it reaches the
In the example shown in FIG. 4, "first signal strength" to "third signal strength" are respectively indicated in 10 levels from "1/10" to "10/10", but are not limited to this. . In this embodiment, for example, the signal strength may be indicated in more steps or in decibels. In particular, it is preferable that the signal strength is indicated by a value using dBm, which is a decibel unit based on 1 mW, or dBμ, based on 1 μV.
A method for the parent device to identify the position of the target device will be described with reference to FIG. FIG. 5 is a diagram for explaining how the parent device identifies the position of the target device.
In FIG. 5, the method for identifying the position of the child device 301 by the
When
