Description
最初に、本願発明の実施形態の内容を列記して説明する。本願発明の一実施形態に係る光モジュールは、平面状の実装面を有する基板と、光を伝搬する光導波路、及び光導波路を通る光を平行光として出射する反射面を有する光回路素子と、実装面上に光回路素子を支持する支持部材と、実装面に実装されており、反射面から出射した平行光を集光するレンズ、及びレンズによって集光された光を受光する受光層を有する受光素子と、を備え、平行光は、レンズの頂点の接平面に対して垂直に入射し、平行光を出射する光回路素子の反射面とレンズの頂点との距離は、所定値より短く設定されており、実装面の法線方向から見たときに、平行光の光軸とレンズの頂点との距離は所定のオフセット量に設定されている。
本願発明の実施形態に係る光モジュールの具体例を、以下で図面を参照しながら説明する。本発明は、以降の例示に限定されるものではなく、特許請求の範囲に示され、特許請求の範囲と均等の範囲内における全ての変更が含まれることが意図される。図面の説明において、同一又は相当する要素には同一の符号を付し、重複する説明を適宜省略する。また、図面は、理解の容易のため、一部を簡略化又は誇張している場合があり、寸法比率及び角度は図面に記載のものに限定されない。
Claims (2)
- 平面状の実装面を有する基板と、
光を伝搬する光導波路、及び前記光導波路を通る光を平行光として出射する反射面を有する光回路素子と、
前記実装面上に前記光回路素子を支持する支持部材と、
前記実装面に実装されており、前記反射面から出射した前記平行光を集光するレンズ、
及び前記レンズによって集光された光を受光する受光層を有する受光素子と、
を備え、
前記平行光は、前記レンズの頂点の接平面に対して垂直に入射し、
前記平行光を出射する前記光回路素子の反射面と前記レンズの頂点との距離は、前記平行光のレイリー長より短く設定されており、
前記実装面の法線方向から見たときに、前記平行光の光軸と前記レンズの頂点との距離は前記平行光のビーム径以上のオフセット量に設定されている、
光モジュール。 - 前記光回路素子の反射面と前記レンズの頂点との距離は、前記支持部材の高さによって定められている、
