Description
本出願は、参照によりその全体が本明細書に組み込まれる、「ELECTRONIC OPTIC SYSTEM CAPABLE OF ACCEPTING WIRELESS ENERGY」と題された2015年9月16日に出願された米国特許出願第62/219,384号の優先権を主張する。
眼鏡フレーム内へ補助用電子機器を一体化するという従来の電子眼鏡における課題に対処するために、本明細書に記載のシステム、装置、及び方法は、電子眼鏡内の機能的電子機器に給電するためのワイヤレスエネルギー伝送手法を使用する。この手法では、眼用装置は、レンズと、レンズの機能性を高めるためにレンズの中または上に配置された電子要素とを含む。眼用装置は、外部装置(例えば、ワイヤレス充電器)からのエネルギー(または電力)をワイヤレスで受け取る第1のコイルを含み、受け取ったエネルギー(または電力)を電子要素に連結された第2のコイルにワイヤレスで伝送して、電子要素に供給する。
図11は、ワイヤレス充電を用いる眼用装置を動作させる方法1100を示す。眼用装置は、上述した眼用装置やシステムのいずれかを含むことができる(例えば、図1~図10D参照)。

Claims (12)
- 眼鏡レンズと、
外部装置から電気エネルギーをワイヤレスで受け取るように前記眼鏡レンズに埋め込まれたエネルギー受取りコイルと、
前記エネルギー受取りコイルによって受け取られる前記電気エネルギーの少なくとも一部を消費するように前記眼鏡レンズに埋め込まれた少なくとも1つの電子要素と、
前記エネルギー受取りコイルが受け取る電気エネルギーを貯蔵するように、前記眼鏡レンズに埋め込まれているとともに前記エネルギー受取りコイルに動作可能に連結された、エネルギー貯蔵素子と
を含む、眼用装置であって、
前記少なくとも1つの電子要素が、前記エネルギー貯蔵素子に貯蔵された前記電気エネルギーを消費する、前記眼用装置。 - エネルギー貯蔵素子が、再充電可能バッテリ、コンデンサ、又はスーパーキャパシタの少なくとも1つを含む、請求項1に記載の眼用装置。
- エネルギー貯蔵素子が、少なくとも1つの電子要素の周囲に配置された薄膜電池を含む、請求項1に記載の眼用装置。
- エネルギー受取りコイルに連結された、外部装置からエネルギー受取りコイルへの電気エネルギー伝送効率を高めるレゾネータ電子部をさらに含む、請求項1に記載の眼用装置。
- エネルギー受取りコイルが、眼鏡レンズに埋め込まれている、請求項4に記載の眼用装置。
- エネルギー受取りコイルが、磁気共鳴又は磁気誘導を介して外部装置から電気エネルギーを受け取るように構成されている、請求項1に記載の眼用装置。
- 眼鏡レンズを保持するフレームをさらに含む、請求項1~6のいずれかに記載の眼用装置。
- 眼鏡レンズが屈折力を有していない、請求項1~7のいずれかに記載の眼用装置。
- 少なくとも1つの電子要素が、
電気活性素子への電圧の印加に応答して変化する透過率を有する前記電気活性素子を含む、請求項1に記載の眼用装置。 - 少なくとも1つの電子要素が、
電気活性素子への電圧の印加に応答して変化する屈折率を有する前記電気活性素子を含む、請求項1に記載の眼用装置。 - 眼用装置の着用者と対象物との間の距離を測定するように、電気活性素子に動作可能に連結されたレンジファインダをさらに含み、
電圧が前記距離に少なくとも部分的に基づいている、
請求項10に記載の眼用装置。 - 眼鏡フレームと、
前記眼鏡フレームに配置されたレンズと、
外部装置から電気エネルギーをワイヤレスで受け取るように前記レンズに埋め込まれたエネルギー受取りコイルと、
