Description
TECHNICAL FIELD The present invention relates to a step device for a vehicle in which a side step is arranged on a vehicle width direction side portion of a vehicle body.
A vehicle with a high minimum ground clearance has a high floor position. For this reason, the same vehicle tends to lose the ability to get on and off from the entrance.
Therefore, in order to assist passengers in getting in and out of such vehicles, a fixed side step or a movable side step (see
Many of these side steps have mounting brackets provided on both ends in the longitudinal direction attached to the side of the vehicle body. At this time, each mounting bracket is attached to a side frame (a member extending in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle) that serves as a frame member of the vehicle body so as to secure the mounting strength.
Many mounting brackets have a structure in which a pair of mounting legs are provided on both sides. Partially fastened.
In a vehicle equipped with such a side step, a relay member extending in the vehicle front-rear direction may be arranged on the lower surface of the vehicle body side portion (in the vehicle width direction). The relay member is often routed in the vehicle front-rear direction along the side frame.
Many of the relay members relay between devices, such as the fuel pipe that relays between the engine located in the front of the vehicle and the fuel tank located in the rear of the vehicle. be.
In particular, when a cross member protruding downward from the bottom surface of the vehicle becomes an obstacle, a relay member such as a fuel pipe is routed along the bottom surface of the vehicle body across the bottom surface of the cross member.
By the way, many of the mounting legs of the mounting brackets that are fastened to the side frames are subjected to a side collision, that is, an impact (side impact load) is applied from the longitudinal center side of the side step, which is the side of the vehicle, and the side step is pushed to the center. When it is bent at an acute angle from the side, it is broken.
However, when the relay member (such as the fuel pipe) and the side step are arranged in parallel as described above, the mounting bracket detached from the vehicle body tilts in the direction in which the side step bends (in the left-right direction), and moves inward in the longitudinal direction. There is a concern that the fractured surface of the mounting leg will enter the inside of the vehicle body (side frame or underside of the cross member) and contact the relay member part (fuel pipe, etc.) that straddles the cross member, causing damage. .
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION Accordingly, it is an object of the present invention to provide a step device for a vehicle that can prevent damage to a relay member straddling a cross member caused by breakage of a mounting leg portion of a mounting bracket in the event of a side collision of the vehicle.
An aspect of the present invention has a relay member disposed on the side portion of the lower surface of the vehicle body so as to extend in the vehicle front-rear direction and relaying between devices, and a side step parallel to the relay member on the vehicle width direction side portion of the vehicle body. is arranged on the lower surface of the vehicle, and the lower surface of the vehicle body includes a side frame that is arranged on the side of the lower surface of the vehicle body and extends in the vehicle front-rear direction; The relay member is wired along the side frame across the lower surface of the cross member to the lower surface of the vehicle body, and the side step has mounting brackets on both ends in the longitudinal direction. has a pair of mounting legs attached to the lower surfaces of the side frame portions on both sides of the cross member so as to straddle the cross member, and the mounting leg on the inner side in the longitudinal direction of the side step is a relay member portion that straddles the cross member. The mounting leg extends inward in the longitudinal direction of the side step, and has a fastening portion fastened to the lower surface of the side frame portion at the tip of the mounting leg, and the mounting leg portion near the fastening portion is attached to the side step When a side impact load greater than or equal to a predetermined amount is input, the side step has a stress concentration portion that can break the mounting leg from the vicinity of the fastening portion, and a side impact load greater than or equal to the predetermined amount is input to the center side of the side step, causing the side step to collapse. When it is bent at an acute angle from the central side, the mounting leg portion on the inner side in the longitudinal direction is broken from the vicinity of the fastening portion, and the fractured surface of the mounting leg portion facing the vehicle body side foremost escapes to the side of the relay member portion that straddles the cross member. I made it.
According to the present invention, a side collision occurs, an impact (side collision load) is applied from the side step center side in the longitudinal direction, the side step is bent at an acute angle from the center side, and the mounting leg portion on the inside in the longitudinal direction of the side step is broken. It is assumed that the attachment leg is broken from the vicinity of the fastening portion and enters the inside of the vehicle body while tilting the broken surface forward.
At this time, the mounting leg on the inner side in the longitudinal direction not only extends inward in the longitudinal direction of the side step from the relay member portion that straddles the cross member, but also breaks from the vicinity of the fastening portion on the tip side of the mounting leg. Therefore, the fractured surface of the mounting leg, which is fractured and heads foremost toward the vehicle body side, avoids the relay member portion straddling the cross member and escapes to the side of the relay member portion.
Therefore, in the event of a vehicle side collision, the broken surface of the mounting leg is prevented from coming into contact with the relay member that straddles the cross member, and the relay member that straddles the cross member caused by the broken mounting leg of the mounting bracket. damage can be prevented.
In addition, if a wall portion is provided at the end of the mounting bracket facing the lowest relay member portion that straddles the cross member, the relay member can be pressed down with a surface, thereby preventing the mounting bracket from intruding into the vehicle body. Damage to the relay member can also be prevented.
The present invention will be described below based on one embodiment shown in FIGS. 1 to 7. FIG.
1(a) and 1(b) show the appearance of a portion of a
The
As a result, the passenger can get on and off through the
Further, as shown in FIG. 2, on the
A pair of side sills 11 (only one side is shown) are provided on the
A
The pair of
The

As a result, the
A
The
Specifically, as shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, link
3 and 4, each mounting
The
With this four-bar link mechanism, the
For example, when the
Incidentally, the
In the
Here, when the
Therefore, of the mounting
First, as shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, only the mounting
Secondly, a structure in which a seat surface portion 39 (corresponding to the fastening portion of the present application) that is fastened to the lower surface of the
Thirdly, the mounting
With such a combination, when a side collision impact is input from the side portion of the
3, the end of each mounting
With this
Next, operation of the
For example, assume that an occupant outside the vehicle performs an operation to open the
Accordingly, the occupant can use the
On the other hand, when the vehicle 1 (with the
Here, when the input impact F is larger than a predetermined value, the
At this time, excessive stress is applied to the mounting
That is, the short mounting
Then, as shown in FIGS. 5 and 6, the mounting
Here, the mounting
Therefore, in the event of a side collision of the
Moreover, even if the end portion of the mounting
