Description
The present invention relates to the technical fields of satellite broadcasting, terrestrial broadcasting, fixed communication and mobile communication, and more particularly to a transmitter and a receiver for time-division multiplex transmission of digital data.
In the digital transmission system, a multilevel modulation system is often used so that more information can be transmitted in the frequency bandwidth available for each service. In order to increase the frequency utilization efficiency, it is effective to increase the number of bits (modulation order) assigned to one symbol of the modulated signal. Limited by the Shannon limit. Satellite digital broadcasting is an example of a form of information transmission using a satellite transmission line.
In satellite digital broadcasting currently in use, information correction is performed in a receiver using an error correction code. By adding a redundant signal called a parity bit to the information to be sent, it is possible to control the signal redundancy (encoding rate) and improve resistance to noise. Error correction codes and modulation schemes are closely related, and the theoretical upper limit of frequency utilization efficiency with respect to the signal-to-noise ratio is called the Shannon limit. LDPC (Low Density Parity Check) code was proposed by Gallagher in 1962 as one of the powerful error correction codes having performance approaching the Shannon limit (see, for example, Non-Patent Document 1).
LDPC符号は、非常に疎な検査行列H(検査行列の要素が0と1からなり、且つ1の数が非常に少ない)により定義される線形符号である。 An LDPC code is a linear code defined by a very sparse parity check matrix H (parity check matrix elements consist of 0s and 1s and the number of 1s is very small).
The LDPC code is a powerful error correction code that can obtain transmission characteristics approaching the Shannon limit by increasing the code length and using an appropriate parity check matrix. ARIB STD-B44 (hereinafter referred to as advanced satellite broadcasting system (ISDB-S3); see Non-Patent
Taking the advanced satellite broadcasting system (ISDB-S3) as an example, the code length of the LDPC code in this system is composed of Forward Error Correction (FEC) frames and is 44880 bits. It has been shown that the performance is within about 1 dB from the theoretical upper limit of the frequency utilization efficiency with respect to the signal-to-noise ratio when the signal point arrangement is BPSK (for example, see Non-Patent Document 3).
In the advanced satellite broadcasting system (ISDB-S3), the LDPC coding rate is 41/120 (≈1/3), 49/120 (≈2/5), 61/120 (≈1/2), 73/120 (≈3/5), 81/120 (≈2/3), 89/120 (≈3/4), 93/120 (≈7/9), 97/120 (≈4/5), Eleven types of 101/120 (≈5/6), 105/120 (≈7/8), and 109/120 (≈9/10) are defined.
By the way, recently, in addition to the current 2K service by satellite/terrestrial broadcasting and 4K/8K Super Hi-Vision by satellite broadcasting, the provision of 4K/8K Super Hi-Vision by terrestrial broadcasting is newly expected. However, focusing on the 12 GHz band used for satellite broadcasting, available frequencies are tight, and it is difficult to secure sufficient frequency bandwidth for transmission of next-generation content beyond 4K/8K services. situation.
Therefore, there is a technology called bulk transmission that divides and transmits large-capacity transmission for each band in a situation where a sufficient bandwidth cannot be secured (see, for example, Patent Document 1). A technique of dividing and transmitting data is also known in the field of communication, and is implemented as carrier aggregation (see, for example, Non-Patent Document 4).
As described above, there is known a technique called bulk transmission in which large-capacity transmission is divided for each band and transmitted when a sufficient bandwidth cannot be secured.
In recent years, along with the convergence of broadcasting and communications, the diversification of transmission modes that transcends the boundaries of radio waves is progressing. Construction of a transmission system that transmits data using Next-generation communication networks such as the 5th generation mobile communication system (5G) are also effective in integrating with broadcasting transmission lines (especially satellite transmission lines). It is expected that the demand for commonality with the transmission system will further accelerate.
For example, given the tight availability of frequencies for satellite broadcasting in the 12 GHz band, there is a demand for bulk transmission broadcasting technology that enables large-capacity transmission to be highly compatible with IP-based communication transmission systems. . In other words, in the future, in situations where sufficient bandwidth cannot be secured for data transmission, bulk data will be divided by band (frequency allocation) using multiple broadcast transmission paths and bulk transmitted. A technique that can be integrated into a communication transmission path in a communication transmission system and easily convert or combine transmission data is desired. At least, the advanced satellite broadcasting system (ISDB-S3) used for 4K/8K satellite broadcasting will be highly compatible with IP-based communication transmission lines in the future, and multiple broadcasting transmission lines will be used. Therefore, a transmitting device and a receiving device are required for controlling bulk transmission by dividing a large amount of data into each band (frequency allocation).
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION In view of the above-mentioned problems, an object of the present invention is to provide an IP-based communication transmission line with high affinity, and use a plurality of broadcast transmission lines to provide a predetermined TLV (Type Length Value) packet format.

Here, FIG. 3 shows an example of conversion so as to store an IP packet in the TLV packet payload. The large-capacity data of bit rate I all may be data stored in Ethernet (registered trademark) frames, data in the form of IP packets, or RAW data such as pure video and audio. The TLV
For example, as shown in FIG. 3, the large-capacity data of information bit rate I all is configured as an IP packet, and the IP packet includes an IP header, an IP packet payload, and other header information (for example, UDP ( (User Datagram Protocol (User Datagram Protocol) header, etc.) may be added, and furthermore, within the IP packet payload, an MMT signal that configures an MMTP packet consisting of an MMTP header and an MMTP packet payload may be configured. In this way, if the large amount of data of the information bit rate I all has a header, it is stored as it is in the TLV packet payload as shown in FIG. As a result, even after passing through the
By the way, as will be described below, the
The divided
When transmitting large-capacity data acquired from the
As shown in FIG. 4, in the divided frame generated by the divided
Then, the TLV signal input to the segmented
Note that "0x7F" at the top 1 byte of the TLV header in each TLV packet that constitutes the TLV signal in each basic division slot is used as a pattern for determining the top position of the TLV packet on the broadcast transmission line.
Therefore, as shown in FIG. 5, the TLV packet (top TLV packet) arranged at the head of each basic segmented slot clearly indicates the head position of the TLV signal in the basic segmented slot. FIG. 5 is a configuration diagram of a top TLV packet related to a divided frame used in the transmitting
As shown in FIG. 4 , each basic split slot is nulled from the rear of each basic split slot to fill the remaining area where the information bit rate is adjusted based on the TMCC information obtained from the
There are 55 combinations of modulation schemes and LDPC coding rates supported by ISDB-S3. Although not limited, for example, all m
Further, as can be understood from FIG. 4, when data is divided and transmitted via a communication transmission line (IP network 19), in the same manner as when data is divided and transmitted on a broadcast transmission line, It constitutes a basic segmented slot with a leading TLV packet. For this reason, without providing a frame header separately for one divided frame, the
In this way, in the example shown in FIG. 2, the divided
The divided
In addition, even if the encoding modulation scheme in each of the
As an example, FIG. 7 is a configuration example of basic divided slots when 16APSK (LDPC coding rate: 7/9) is fixed as the coding modulation scheme supported by the transmitter 12-1 (eg ISDB-S3). In the example shown in FIG. 7, 99.9552 Mbps transmission is possible per basic divided slot. Note that the null (or null TLV packet) in the basic division slot is a padding function for facilitating connection easiness and clock synchronization management between the
Incidentally, as shown in FIG. 2, when the divided
The information on the slot division number notified to all of the
In the example shown in FIG. 2, the divided
For example, when it is specified to transmit data in the MMT signal format in the TLV packet payload as shown in FIG. 3, information on the number of slot divisions and the unique number of the basic division slot may be embedded in the MMTP header. In the case of MMT, an extension area is reserved in the MMTP header, and it is also possible to notify the number of slot divisions and the unique number of the basic division slot by using them. In this way, when it is determined to store a signal format having unique header information such as MMT, notification is made using the empty area of the header information. In addition, since it is difficult to assume that the number of slot divisions will be changed frequently, information on the number of slot divisions scheduled at the transmission time and the unique number of the basic division slot for unique information such as frequency allocation of each
FIG. 8 shows the frame division number 5 (4 transmitters (broadcast transmission lines ) and one IP network (communication transmission line). In the example shown in FIG. 8, the transmitting
As described above, the
(receiving device)
FIG. 9 is a block diagram showing a schematic configuration of the
The divided
In other words, the divided
The output
As described above, the
Further, the transmitting
Further, the transmitting
Further, the
In addition, the transmitting

Although the above embodiments have been described as representative examples, it will be apparent to those skilled in the art that many modifications and substitutions may be made within the spirit and scope of the invention. For example, in the above-described embodiment, a satellite transmission line of the ISDB-S3 system is used as a broadcasting transmission line. It is also possible to adopt a configuration in which the next-generation 4K/8K terrestrial transmission lines, etc., which are currently in use, are used as broadcasting transmission lines. In the above-described embodiment, the
Although the present invention has been described with reference to specific embodiments, the present invention is not limited to the above-described embodiments, and can be modified in various ways without departing from the technical idea thereof. For example, in the above-described embodiment, the satellite transmission line is mainly used as the broadcasting transmission line, but the terrestrial transmission line may be used as the broadcasting transmission line.
According to the present invention, even in an environment where the frequency of the broadcast transmission line is tight, it is possible to increase the overall transmission capacity related to data transmission and realize a transmission system that has a high affinity with IP. It is useful for transmission systems that divide and time-division-multiplex large-capacity data using the digital modulation method.
