Description
The present invention relates to improvements in motion guide devices such as linear guides for guiding linear or curvilinear motion of a moving body such as a table.
As a mechanical element for guiding the linear or curvilinear motion of a moving body such as a table, a motion guide device with rolling elements such as balls and rollers intervening in the guide part provides light movement, so it is suitable for robots, machine tools, etc. It is used in various fields such as machinery, semiconductor/liquid crystal manufacturing equipment, and medical equipment.
A linear guide, which is a type of motion guide device, includes a track rail attached to a base, and a moving block assembled to the track rail so as to be capable of relative motion and to which a moving body is attached. A rolling element rolling surface extending along the longitudinal direction is formed on the track rail. The moving block is provided with a load rolling-element rolling surface facing the rolling-element rolling surface and a rolling-element circulation path for circulating the rolling elements. Rolling elements are arranged to roll freely between the rolling element rolling surface of the track rail and the load rolling element rolling surface of the moving block. When the moving block moves linearly relative to the track rail, the rolling elements arranged between the track rail and the moving block roll and circulate in the rolling element circulation path.
When such a rolling-type motion guide device is used, it is necessary to have a configuration that smoothly circulates the plurality of rolling elements that circulate while rolling in the rolling-element circulation path. In particular, when the rolling elements are between the rolling element rolling surface of the track rail and the loaded rolling element rolling surface of the moving block, the rolling elements roll while being loaded between the rolling surfaces. , the rolling elements circulate in an unloaded state in the rolling element circulation path provided in the moving block. In other words, since the plurality of rolling elements roll in the infinite circulation path consisting of the load area and the no-load area, the rolling elements can smoothly roll at the boundary between the load area and the no-load area. Failure to do so may result in increased wear of the rolling elements and raceway surfaces, or shortened service life.
Therefore, in motion guide devices such as linear guides according to the prior art, attention is paid to the state of rolling elements that shift from a load area to a no-load area, as shown in
However, as typified by the above-mentioned
The inventors of the present invention have completed the present invention in view of the above-mentioned problems existing in the prior art. The rolling elements, which circulate indefinitely, perform smooth rolling motion when transitioning from a no-load area to a load area, minimizing wear on the rolling elements and raceway surfaces, as well as realizing low noise and equipment longevity. To provide a technology capable of realizing the extension of
A motion guide device according to the present invention has a race member having a rolling element rolling surface, and a loaded rolling element rolling surface facing the rolling element rolling surface, and substantially parallel to the loaded rolling element rolling surface. a moving member having an extending rolling element return passage; and a pair of lid members having direction changing paths provided at both front and rear ends of the moving member in the moving direction and connecting the load rolling element rolling surface and the rolling element return passage. , a load rolling-element rolling path composed of the rolling-element rolling surface of the race member and the load-rolling-element rolling surface of the moving member, the rolling-element return passage, and the pair of direction changing paths; and a plurality of rolling elements arranged to roll freely in an infinite circulation path, wherein the rolling elements are located at the boundary between the direction changing path and the load rolling element rolling path. The rolling element and the direction change path at the boundary between the direction change path and the load rolling element rolling path when the boundary part when positioned is viewed in a longitudinal section orthogonal to the longitudinal direction of the race member of the rolling element and the rolling element rolling surface at the boundary between the turning path and the load rolling element rolling path. It is characterized in that it is constructed so as to be smaller than the gap with the portion closest to the road surface on the outer peripheral side .
According to the present invention, the rolling elements endlessly circulating in the endless circulation path can perform smooth rolling motion when changing from the no-load area to the load area, so that the rolling elements and rolling surfaces wear. can be minimized, and it is also possible to provide a technique capable of achieving low noise and extension of device life.
Preferred embodiments for carrying out the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings. In addition, the following embodiments do not limit the invention according to each claim, and not all combinations of features described in the embodiments are essential for the solution of the invention. .
First, the overall configuration of a
A
The
On the other hand, the moving
Further, a pair of
A plurality of
Further, a pair of sealing
Furthermore, in this embodiment, a return plate (not shown in FIGS. 1 and 2) is sandwiched between the moving
The overall configuration of the
First, basic features of the
First, the present inventors focused on the
Next, the inventors investigated the direction change
Here, generally, the
Therefore, as a result of intensive research, the inventors of the present invention have found that the ball at the boundary X (see FIG. 2) between the

Here, FIG. 6 is a schematic diagram for explaining the configuration example of the linear guide device according to the first embodiment, and FIG. 7 is for explaining the configuration example of the linear guide device according to the second embodiment. 8 is a schematic diagram for explaining a configuration example of a linear guide device according to a third embodiment, and FIG. 9 is a schematic diagram for explaining a configuration example of a linear guide device according to a fourth embodiment. It is a schematic diagram for explaining an example. 6 to 9 are longitudinal cross-sectional views of the same parts as those in the partial view (a) and the partial view (c) in FIG. In addition, in FIGS. 6 to 9, members that are the same as or similar to the members described in the above embodiments are denoted by the same reference numerals, and detailed description thereof is omitted.
First, as a feature common to the first to fourth embodiments shown in FIGS. When X (see FIG. 2) is viewed in a cross section perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the
Further, the morphological feature commonly realized in the first to fourth embodiments shown in FIGS. ), when viewed in a cross section perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the
First, in the
Further, in the
Further, in the
Moreover, in the

For example, in the above-described embodiment and a plurality of examples, the case where balls are used as the rolling elements has been described as an example, but the rolling elements according to the present invention can be any form of rolling elements such as rollers and rollers. can be used.
Further, for example, in FIGS. 4 to 9, of the four rolling
