Description
The technology disclosed in this specification relates to hybrid vehicles. In particular, it relates to a hybrid vehicle having planetary gears, an engine, and first/second motor generators.
In the hybrid vehicle having the structure described above, the first motor receives the reaction force of the output torque of the engine or the second motor via the planetary gear. The first motor generates power using the reaction force. The first motor is connected to an inverter, and when generating power, the inverter is controlled so that the first motor outputs torque in a direction that suppresses the rotation speed. If some trouble occurs in the inverter, the number of rotations of the first motor cannot be controlled, and the number of rotations may increase significantly. On the other hand, the control period of the inverter must be shorter than the specific period defined by the rotation speed of the first motor. If a problem occurs in the inverter, the inverter cannot be controlled so that the number of rotations of the first motor is suppressed. It is desirable to be able to implement a control that distributes the current drawn to a plurality of other switching elements. However, if the first motor is in an over-rotation state, the inverter control period cannot be made shorter than the specific period, and there is a possibility that the inverter cannot be controlled at all. This specification provides a technique for maintaining the remaining normal switching elements of the inverter in a controllable state by shortening the control cycle of the inverter when the first motor falls into an over-rotation state.
One of the factors that determine the control cycle is the access speed to the memory. In particular, access to shared memory takes time. The technology disclosed in this specification copies data immediately before to a local memory that can be accessed at high speed, although data cannot be shared with other controllers in an abnormal situation where the first motor is in an over-rotation state, Speed up the control cycle by using local memory.
A hybrid vehicle disclosed in this specification includes a planetary gear, an engine, first/second motors (motor generators), an inverter, first/second calculators, a local memory, and a shared memory. The planetary gear carrier is engaged with the engine. A sun gear of the planetary gear is engaged with the first motor. A ring gear of the planetary gear is engaged with the second motor. The ring gear also engages the axle. The inverter is connected to the first motor. The inverter converts DC power into drive power for the first motor using a plurality of switching elements for power conversion. When the first motor generates power, a plurality of switching elements are used to convert AC line power into DC power. The first computing unit controls the inverter (switching element) with a control cycle that changes according to the rotation speed of the first motor. The second calculator updates predetermined data at a predetermined constant cycle. The local memory is memory accessible at the first rate from the first computing unit. The shared memory is a memory that is connected to the first calculator and the second calculator via a common communication line and that can be accessed at a second speed that is lower than the first speed.
The second arithmetic unit writes the updated data to the shared memory at the above constant cycle. The first arithmetic unit (1) controls the inverter based on the data read from the shared memory while the rotation speed of the first motor is below a predetermined threshold rotation speed. (2) When the rotation speed of the first motor exceeds the threshold rotation speed, the first computing unit copies data from the shared memory to the local memory, and thereafter controls the inverter based on the data read from the local memory. .
While the inverter and the first motor are normal, it is possible to control the inverter so that the rotation speed of the first motor does not exceed the threshold rotation speed. On the other hand, if some trouble occurs in the inverter, the number of rotations of the first motor cannot be suppressed, and there is a possibility that the number of rotations exceeds the threshold number of rotations. The threshold rotational speed is set to a value slightly higher than the upper limit of the control frequency (reciprocal of the control cycle) of the first calculator including access to the shared memory. That is, when the number of rotations of the first motor greatly exceeds the threshold number of rotations, the first calculator cannot control the inverter at all. In such an abnormal situation exceeding the threshold rotation speed, even if the latest data updated by the second computing unit cannot be used, the data is copied to a high-speed accessible local memory, and the data is used thereafter for processing. By executing it, the processing speed will be faster than usual. Since the processing can be speeded up, it is possible to expand the rotation speed band (the rotation speed band of the first motor) in which the inverter can be controlled.
A typical example of the above data is the output target value of the inverter. That is, the second calculator updates the output target value of the inverter at regular intervals and writes it to the shared memory. In addition, the first motor over-rotates when an abnormality occurs in one of the plurality of switching elements of the inverter. In such a case, the hybrid vehicle continues running with the second motor. Shift to motor running mode. As described above, the first motor receives the reaction force of the second motor and rotates to generate electricity. When the current generated by power generation concentrates on a specific switching element, the temperature of that switching element becomes high. Therefore, (1) while the number of rotations of the first motor is lower than the threshold number of rotations, the first computing unit determines that the current generated by the first motor is a plurality of values based on the output target value read from the shared memory. The rest of the switching elements are controlled to distribute the flow to the switching elements. (2) when the number of rotations of the first motor exceeds the threshold number of rotations, the first computing unit copies the data from the shared memory to the local memory; The remaining switching elements are controlled so that the current generated by one motor is dispersed and flows through the plurality of switching elements. “Remaining switching elements” means switching elements other than the abnormal switching element. Through the above processing, the load applied to the remaining switching elements can be distributed.
Details and further improvements of the technique disclosed in this specification are described in the following "Mode for Carrying Out the Invention".

When running with the output torque of the
The first motor 7 (second motor 8) is a three-phase AC motor and is driven by a first inverter 5 (second inverter 6). The
The
A
The
The
The
The
The
A control cycle (computation cycle) of the
The number of revolutions of the
It is desirable to be able to continue running even if the output is limited when a problem occurs in the
If a problem occurs in the
The
The processing of the
In the motor running mode, the
When the access destination change flag is set to "ON" or "OFF", the processing in FIG. 2 is terminated.
The
The
If the access destination change flag is "ON" (step S12: YES), the
If the previous access destination change flag is "ON" (step S15: NO), the
As described above, the access speed to the
